A family friend whose daughter got married at Cog Hill a few years ago used Jon Wise, and they strongly recommended him. So, after we booked our venue, JPW Productions was actually the first vendor we hired! We were really busy with last-minute wedding planning, so we were not able to fill out the music preference questionnaire until a few days before the wedding. (Yes, it was honestly insanity.) Jon was SO patient with us despite how last-minute we are. He has a great personality and didn't stress us out at all on the day of the wedding (even though it was totally within his right to do so because we didn't give him the flash drive of a certain version of a song until the day of!). Even though we filled out a list of songs we wanted played, I gave him creative control to play songs that would get people out on the dancefloor. And he did just that! Even though we only had under 140 people at the wedding, the dancefloor was hopping. We got feedback from guests that they loved the variety in the songs the DJ played. So at first we walked into his office you see he has won awards. First thought was he is going to cost a lot. I'll tell you this right now, he was cheaper than the dj I hired 14 years ago. He gives you a timeline and explains everything into great detail. This guy has done thousands of weddings. You see it at the presentation and you can tell when he is doing it at the wedding. So onto the wedding, I don't want to bore you will all the planning details but trust me, it was easy. You'll have no problem with that. He explains everything to you and when he's doing it. Right before dinner we played a game called quest. He usually does it later but people had already been drinking and our ceremony was done sooner due to the weather. Right off the bat, he got people involved and I've never seen so many people cheer there person on. This game was outstanding because now people loved the reception right off the bat and could not wait until what the rest of the night would bring. I just cannot explain what he did for our wedding in words. He gets everyone involved. Dance floor was rocking the entire time. Hell even I attempted to dance and sing. Obviously not good at it. He's got games, there is a timeline that you get and he follows it to a t. If you don't know what song to use at a certain time, he can help you with that. My mom and mother in law have said this was the best dj they have ever seen. I agree. If you think there is better out there, you are wrong. Use him and use him now. P.S. If you use Versace on the floor for the garter toss, he got that idea from us. He said he was going to put it down on his list.
