I really wanted to like these guys. They were personable & enthusiastic. Their initial quotes were…read morevery reasonable. After initially contacting them in October of 2022, I didn't receive an estimate until the end of December, but I told them I didn't mind waiting until after the new year to begin. In February, we made some adjustments to the design & finally had a solid plan & an AGREED UPON PRICE. I was told they'd send me a 3D rendering of my kitchen in 2 weeks so we could choose cabinet & counter colors. In March I still hadn't heard anything, so checked in to see how things were coming along & was told by the new rep, (I think his name was Obed) that my previous sales rep no longer worked there. I specifically asked if they still wanted to do this job or if they were too busy. He assured me they were able to go forward but I guess they didn't have the old rep's notes, so we had to start over. We had a couple of cancelled appointments due to COVID, but several guys came out June 3rd & offered some great ideas. I gave them copies of my print out that listed all the work I needed done & asked if this could be accomplished within my budget. Obed said that as long as we chose the less expensive cabinets it should work. He said he'd get me a new quote by the next week. By the end of July I still hadn't heard anything so I (again very nicely) checked in. They had obviously forgotten all about me & hastily threw together an estimate (forgetting a lot of the things we'd talked about even though I printed out the plan for them). It was $25,000 more than the agreed upon price, but it also didn't include several of the things I needed done, reused my old gutters instead of replacing them (as Obed himself had insisted we needed to do) and on top of all that, now I had to buy many of the materials myself! I can only imagine how much higher the costs would soar after THAT added expense! The new estimate was an increase of more than a THIRD of the total project, and that's BEFORE adding in the materials! The initial quote included everything. I was understandably upset, since I thought we were ready to proceed on roughly the original February quote ... that we'd already agreed to. I get that prices have increased, but I doubt they've gone up over 40% in just 4 months! Plus, the delay was on THEIR end. Still, I didn't get mean, yell or curse. I just said this felt like a "bait & switch." They clearly found this very offensive and sent me back a dismissive email "wishing me the best of luck with my new contractors." They offered no apology for wasting almost a year of my time & made no attempt to sit down and look over the estimate to see if we could cut costs somewhere ... Nothing but a kiss-off, and after I waited so patiently, without a single complaint ... for NINE MONTHS! This is not how professionals treat their clients. They have great reviews on other sites, but I'd strongly advise you to be wary of this company. They do put estimates in writing but it would be very wise to insist on a Start Date & a Locked-in Price. A quote in writing clearly means nothing.

Can't recommend 9hamemrs highly enough. 9hammers contacted us immediately after sending a quote…read morerequest from Angi's List for a deck remodel. Tony, the salesman, came out on a weekend (a time convenient for us) and spent two hours going over every aspect of our deck. Tony was very honest and transparent about what we needed, what we might need when the deck boards were taken up, and what we could skip to save money. At no point did we feel like Tony was trying to upsell us or make us spend more money than necessary. I've never had such an honest experience with a salesman. Once Tony left, it was clear we wanted to use 9hammers for our deck remodel. When it came time to do the project, the work was quick and the quality was unreal. It was apparent that 9hammers took ownership of the project and made sure they did it correctly. After they took up our existing deck boards, they determined that whoever did the existing deck did a terrible job, and the owner got on the phone with us and explained step-by-step what they would need to do to get the deck up to code and last us for years. The final product was beyond what we could have imagined and we could not be happier with our deck. Following the project, Tony and the owner Ray followed up to ensure the project was done to our satisfaction. We are so pleased with the quality of 9hammers, we are already considering them for another project. If you want quality work, attention to detain, honest evaluation, and professional treatment, call 9hammers.

I cannot say enough good things about 9Hammers. July 2020, we had a violent storm with…read moremicro-bursts blow through with very high winds, hail, rain, etc... that sent a tree limb through our roof. The insurance adjuster was, very poor, at best. No in-house inspectors sent. Using third party inspectors, they failed to even see a majority of the damage. This went on for about 9 months. 9Hammers was very involved in getting the re-inspections done when the third party inspection reports came back without noting the scope of the damage, and the current condition of the roof. 9Hammers was finally able to perform an inspection with the 3rd party inspector. Several more emails back and forth to ensure the repairs were done properly, and we now have the repair completed, 11 months after the damage occurred. Had it not been for 9Hammers, we would have had a repair completed that would have no warranty, along with a hole left in the sheathing. Ray and Chuck were very professional. Having been on the CC line to the emails to the adjuster, they were also very professional with the insurance company, despite the "shenanigans" the insurance adjuster was pulling. I do not know how they stayed so patient throughout this process. I highly recommend them for any roof work, and will also be using them when it is time to redo our decks. Great warranty on the roof as well. Thank you guys so much!!
