Then he mentioned they can do all kinds of stuff around the house. So we ended up asking to paint the bathroom ceilings, to paint also a piece of wall, to fix leaking faucets, to put extra shelves, to paint again, to fix the door and many other things. Everything was done within two days, swiftly and clean. Daniel is very responsive and nice. A very hardworking person. The price is absolutely reasonable.

Jason and his teams did outstanding work on removing popcorn ceiling, patching walls throughout the home, and painting the interior. The popcorn removal was thorough and really demonstrated why it takes time and $ to do well. The painting team took over after and did multiple coats using paint I provided. They let the paint dry naturally in between coats. In both cases the teams were prompt and cleaned up thoroughly. I was hesitant initially due to a review I saw, but I spoke with Jason and he talked me through it and how he would handle the work on my home - I am glad I did go with him, and I will definitely call him when it's time to paint the exterior.

We trusted his team to complete a large job on our new home purchase - remove popcorn ceilings, patch holes, and paint the interior of our new 3400 sq ft house - and our house looks worse than it did before they touched it. We have spent the last 3 months cleaning up their mess, including hiring different contractors to do the job we hired them to do. A list of issues we've experienced: * Peeling paint, caused by using a heat gun and not letting the paint dry properly * Scratched and dented several pieces of original wood trim * Carelessly painted our fireplace, light fixtures and original wood trim * Left obvious patch jobs * Sanded spots but didn't paint * Caulked areas we asked not to caulk to mask a bad paint job * Did not fix most of the blue taped items we marked off during our final walkthrough * Left the house covered in dust and paint splatter. Thankfully we did not live in the house at the time as we wouldn't have been able to move back into it in this condition. Jason did give us a partial refund (25%) but after spending $18,000 on a job, I am so disappointed and disheartened to see it left in this condition. His team did not have an eye for detail and did not care for our home like we expected them to.

To our surprise the paint that Carl, the owner recommended has lasted until now. That's 4 years later. We got multiple estimates of the price to do the work and Performance came in competitively but reasonably lower. Additionally, Performance did work that was needed but not discovered until after the project had begun for which no additional charges were assessed. There was one very minor oversight which I attributed to the employee's miscommunication BUT as soon as it was brought to Carl's attention was promptly corrected. I can't hold that against Performance because I've never hired a perfect contractor and there are no flawless humans, including myself. To me the difference between an average contractor and an excellent one is how they resolve inevitable issues that may arise and Performance get FIVE STARS for that!!! I definitely plan to hire Performance again and highly recommend them. SUGGESTION: I've had greatest success with contractors in general when EVERYTHING I expect to be done is written in detail and mutually agreed upon before the job starts. Carl is a "people" person and easy to talk with. If you do this when you hire Performance you'll be satisfied when the project is complete.

Well one of his employees told me that Carl had specifically instructed him to not ever talk to me but if I ever were to ask how long he'd been with Carl to lie and tell me that he'd been there awhile when it was actually his first day and he had never painted professionally before. As the job wore on and there were mistakes after mistakes, my outlets have a border of old paint, all my switches and stuff have paint on them. They got paint on some tables and furniture. I spoke further with the nice, hopelessly inept man and he told me that Carl meets his employees at gas stations, offers them above average under the table pay as long as they obey his rules, which turn out to be to lie for him. I spoke with a few people that I had heard used him and they all told me that they had learned their entire crew was different than the one I had and we realized he hires for each job without even knowing anything about his employees.
