I got the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and it was consistent the other time I had it and the fries are good nothing fancy but they taste good without ketchup so that's a bonus. The service was good and the manager was sitting by the front door welcoming people in. They have a nice seating area and a little game you can play inside the building(no idea what's it called) and they play newer pop music as well. Decided to try this place on my last visit to Hattiesburg. Ordered the Uncle Jerome's Nashville Hot Chicken combo, kinda disappointed. The chicken was small and not as flavorful as I had hoped for. I've got Nashville Hot in Nashville at Hattie B's and Prince's, but this only shared the name and not the flavor. The fries were good and salted, but a lot of small pieces and they are the small crinkle cut fries. I'm not going to rule them out, but I will try the Shaq Attack next time. It was better than McDoalds, Chick-Fil-A and most of the other standard fast food in my opinion, but hard to justify the price. On the upside, the manager that was working had a great attitude and his booming voice made it a fun experience. The other employees weren't feeling it, but he was invested and very friendly, welcoming and took the time to explain the choices. Decided to stop and try this new place today. The drive thru was packed but I wasn't deterred. I ordered a 5 pc grilled tender with slaw. The wait time was fairly long (about 15 min at the window) but they were working the entire time to get everyone's orders filled. The biggest surprise was the price. My bill was $17.21. I asked if there were up charges for anything and told no. That's too pricey for a drive thru, fast food meal. I'm glad I gave it a try but it will be a while before I go back. I tried Shaq's Big Chicken in Hattiesburg, MS. The staff is friendly and the dining area was very nice and clean. I love the fact that they use full sized paper towels as napkins. Overall I'd give the food a 7.5/10. It was a bit salty to me and very expensive as well. The flavor was good though and my children enjoyed it. They both got the tender meals and I tried the chicken sandwich meal. It cost $40 for the three of us to eat. It's not a restaurant I would run to often, but I would try it again. read more

Food was good. Giving 3 stars solely due to deception of drink sizing. I have been twice. Both times one of our drinks was large which carries an up charge of $1.00. Both times received a 20oz cup despite the website itself stating a large is 32oz. Today I noticed that the only cup sizes they even have are 20oz and 16oz. Me and my friends just got out of church and decided to go to Big Chicken after finding out they close at 10pm. We get there at 9:35pm and two separate answered the drive thru immediately telling us they were closed. I get they want to go home, coming from someone who worked fast food, but turning customers away is very immature and unprofessional in the workplace. read more

Absolutely horrible first and last experience. First, I downloaded the app to get my free drink. (DIDN'T GET IT!) when we walked in the woman behind the counter was on the phone, rolling her eyes. Another walked up, you would think we would be treated, BUT WE WERE NOT! And then we asked for help TWICE, ended up having to check out the the lady because she didn't care to help us with the self checkout machine. (Or should I say, she didn't know how to use it).
