Big Bully Turf took care of our Turf needs and we are thankful. My husband, kids and I can't stop talking every time we see how green and lush it looks. The turf was coordinated well, installed quickly (I think total time was roughly 2.5 days total) and they did a great job. Professional team and crew, friendly, informative, and altogether great service. Thank you Big Billy Turf. read more

We had pet turf installed in February. I have mixed reviews. Installation was pretty good, however there was a lack in communication. There was also a lack of communication after having it installed. Since having it installed, we have 2 issues. 1st of all, we have a lot of grass growing up between the turf. And 2nd, since it has gotten hot, the turf is really hot. And I know they put down the cooling stuff. But in the afternoon, when the sun is on the yard, our dog doesn't want to go potty because it burns her feet. We didn't think we would have to deal with those 2 issues especially after paying what we did. The positives are my dogs don't get as dirty and my floors stay cleaner. read more

The whole process was easy. They did an amazing job. We are very happy with the results. Only took a day, which is what they told us. And most importantly our dogs love it !!!! read more

Wow. big Bully Turf was amazing. The team was very particular on each cut in our yard. The project manager Brock was always on it. Whitney or dales girl was always available to answer questions. Whitney did a digital video of what our yard would look like. It was perfect. I was really worried our girls (senior pugs) would not take to it. They had no problem taking to it. Not only that but I had no more muddy or wet prints in my home. I'm obsessed with Big Bully Turf! I love it so so much. I recommend to everyone. I was so skeptical of it before but it's a game changer. Poop clean-up is a breeze and it doesn't smell. I totally love it. It's worth the money! read more

Great experience. Our sales rep came at a later time slot to accommodate our busy schedules, so we could both be present. Answering all of our questions. We had a hard rain that weekend so our installation was pushed until next day. They showed up promptly and finished within the day. Our dogs love it and we enjoy not having a muddy mess where they run the fence line visiting the neighbors dog. read more

First off, they went above and beyond what we were expecting. It all started with Mike Zelke. Have done a lot of stuff at various homes I've owned, but when I say that this guy is second to none, I mean it. The team came out promptly as well and got the work done great and didn't leave a mess like you see anymore. The beat work we have had at the house ever. Thanks, Mike! read more

Big Bully Turf company did an awesome job on my back yard! High quality grass installed at a good price. Staff was very friendly and professional. Would definitely use them again. Highly recommend them. read more

I hired Big Bully Turf in April 2025 to install artificial turf at my home. Within weeks, grass from the original lawn began growing up through the turf -- not surface weeds, but grass regrowing from roots that were never properly removed. It became so bad that you couldn't even tell it was turf, it just looked like overgrown lawn (which it was). This indicates a clear failure in site preparation and installation. What makes this even more telling is that other sections of turf they installed in my yard are perfectly fine -- only one area is failing, which proves the issue is due to inconsistent or careless labor, not maintenance. Despite a written 4-year labor warranty (which they sell you pretty hard on at the outset), Big Bully Turf has repeatedly ignored my warranty claim and failed to provide any response or remediation plan. At the beginning, when I could get a response, I was met with dismissive and condescending communication that made it clear they had no genuine intention of helping resolve the problem. Later, they straight up ghosted me. I have given the company every opportunity to make it right, including submitting a formal written claim and waiting well past the response deadline. Their silence speaks volumes about how they stand behind their work and their customers. They are friendly in their sales pitch but as soon as they take your money they are extremely disappointing. If you're considering this company, I strongly recommend against it. They've made it clear to me that they will not stand behind their warranty and do not value customer service or relationships whatsoever. read more

Extremely positive experience from the sales process, through the instllation and follow-up after install. A agreat group of teams.

Do not use this company. Although I do appreciate that they responded here on Yelp, it was incorrect and false information. I previously had turf in the area where I contracted this company to install new turf on it. This area was sinking and they said they would dig up the area and put new material there to make it flat again. Once they were on site, the foreman (Sean) said that there is good material already there and they would save a whole day of labor to not have to do this portion of the project. Sean stated that this a large portion of the job. He said to get with my sales rep and project manager on the credit. Well... the sales rep (Brandon) and project manager (Brittany) disappeared. Then there was the burnt, raised, and lumpy turf issue. Sean again came back out and said that the butt seam was frowned upon and it should have been a serpentine seam. I have all of this documented in text messages from Big Bully Dog Turf and they have been extremely inconsistent in there messaging to me. Yes, I do want to be credited for work that didn't happen. Yes, I did want the serpentine seam after the foreman said that's what should have been done. I have requested (in writing) to be contacted by someone in leadership at your company from Chelsea in your warranty department, and just as I imagined, no one has reached out. FYI your contract is useless and doesn't state scope of work as I have requested multiple times. By all means, use their contractors to install. Avoid this company to install it though read more

Avoid Big Bully Turf - Poor Customer Service & Lack of Transparency We had a very disappointing experience with Big Bully Turf, and we want to make sure future customers are fully aware of what to expect before investing in their product. 1. Lack of Transparency on Turf Burn Risks - We were never properly informed about the potential for window reflection causing turf burn during the sales process. If this is a widely known industry issue (as they later claimed), it should have been clearly explained upfront so we could take preventative measures. Instead, we were left to discover the problem after installation, with no warning. 2. Poor Customer Service - When we reported the issue, it took over a month to get any real response. No one from Big Bully Turf ever came out to assess the damage in person. Instead, they sent us pictures over email and made a remote diagnosis, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. Good customer service means taking the time to assess issues properly, not just relying on past experience to make assumptions. 3. Lack of Accountability - While we acknowledge that we initialed a section about sun damage, simply signing a form isn't the same as being properly advised about how this could impact our specific installation. Given how common this issue seems to be, it should be a priority for Big Bully Turf to educate customers before they purchase - not after they experience problems. 4. No Real Resolution - Instead of taking responsibility for the lack of upfront communication, Big Bully Turf's only "solution" was offering to replace the damaged area at our cost. This is unacceptable for an issue that could have been avoided with proper consultation. Future Customers Beware - Since Big Bully Turf does not prioritize informing customers about these risks, we will do our part to make sure others know before they commit to installing their turf. If you're considering using this company, be sure to ask about window reflection and turf burn before signing anything - because they won't make it a priority to tell you. We hope this review helps others make an informed decision before choosing Big Bully Turf. read more

Big Bully Turf was so easy to work with. They gave me a quote and did the install within a few days. I would definitely use them again for their great product. read more

They are as their name suggests. A Big Bully. Nice when they want to get the contract. Will make big promises. Once you sign the contract, a third party comes to do the work. Our turf is installation was done so poorly that it sinks in the center. They will threaten you with litigation and bully you if you ask them to do their work properly. Forget about the 4 year and 15 year warranty. They will not respond to your call once you have paid them. read more

After shopping around I received 4 quotes on replacing my entire front and Backyard. The Brilliance Turf was literally three times the quality of everything I seen on the market. Obviously a woman's touch in designing the turf was the difference. Every company was between 12-13 dollars a foot however the process, material, and installation was next level at Big Bully Turf. The sales process was easy and no pressure. The only thing was Big Bully was 4 weeks out on installs but they don't subcontract so was willing to wait. When it came to the install Big Bully turf went way beyond the job I contracted for. During our install large roots were discovered under our dead grass. They had to rent a cutting machine and the job went from a 2 day to a four day job. I thought at any point I was going to get hit with an Extra charge but they never asked and just got the work done. I recommend this company and would give them a six out of 5 stars if I could. Thank you Carla for building such a friendly company. Jefferson, Kyle, and Matt knocked it out the park. read more

looks real. really nice job. a few hiccups but handled quickly. yes, we would do it again. read more

We hired Big Bully Turf to install a 3x70 ft dog run along our back fence. The entire experience was frustrating and disappointing. The workers didn't arrive until 4 p.m. with zero communication or notice. When they finally showed up, the job was rushed and incredibly sloppy. The turf is not level, doesn't run evenly along the fence, and the seams are already separating. It's also coming up along the front edge. Worst of all, they left behind materials--including U-pins--right in the dog run where our pets could have easily been injured. Their crew also damaged part of our yard, and we had to replace 120 square feet of sod ourselves. After they received final payment, we've had no communication whatsoever. No follow-up, no response to messages, no concern for quality or customer service. Extremely unprofessional. I do not recommend Big Bully Turf to anyone, especially pet owners. read more

We got our beautiful astroturf 10/22/25! Harley loves it! I live outside of Phoenix. Very professional company with the best customer service!!!! You won't regret getting this! It will save on water and look beautiful year-round!!!! I wouldn't use any other company! Thank you to your staff for a job well done! Fast and efficient!!! One thing I noticed is they made sure the grass blades all run in the same direction. That's important for when you rake. I know I had astroturf in another home and they didn't make sure the bladed all run the same. read more

Would NOT recommend! These people have you sign a contract and do not hold up their end of the bargain, incomplete work. P!ss poor business practices. Go elsewhere if you want turf done and completed without being lied to and manipulated. read more

They are very good about keeping in contact so be warned they will send you a bunch of text and phone calls. Not mad about that I can understand sales and that's just the name of the game. They say free estimate but won't even give you a rough idea of what the cost might be. They say it all depends on the type you pick and all of that. Why waste both your time and mine with these games? Giving a rough estimate of the size of the lawn it shouldn't be too hard to give a rough estimate of what it could be. Not sure why they wanted to spend time visiting my house without going giving me an idea of what the cost would be. Give me a high and low. All I can think is they come out with some shock and awe tactic and then try to sell you on the payment not the price. The may do a good job just be warned if you reach out to them they won't give an estimate over the phone and the have a very used car salesman approach. read more

I want to say that overall the quality of the work was 5 star. However. As an avid golfer, I really wanted a quality putting green to use. Unfortunately I got a conversation piece. Guests will excited until they try to putt. There isn't a true roll and they could have made the green bigger. Big Bully you came so close to getting a perfect score. Ask the qualifying question, are you an avid golfer? If so, save them the time, money, and disappointment. Be careful about setting customer's expectations too high. Your putting green option is not a viable one. read more

I received an invitation to have an estimate, and I reached out to them and asked for one. I got a return call from a phone number from California. I texted with the guy and he said he couldn't come out because it was raining. I guess they don't have rain in California but anyway he said he was gonna come later in the day. He texted me later in the day and said he had a couple installs that he couldn't he couldn't come that day And I said I'm just looking for an estimate. Why don't you just leave an estimate here when you get a chance just for the front and we'll take it from there. I haven't heard from him again. So I'm gonna use some local folks instead of folks from California who treat people in Texas like they're garbage and are afraid of rain. Since this is a new company, I would strongly suggest that the proprietor find some people that are representing them the follow through on their appointments . read more

I am so happy I went with big bully turf. I had great service and attention to detail from beginning to end. Our sales person Jefferson was so nice and not "salesy" at all the way most of these guys tend to be. We were scheduled quicker than I thought and then the install was so quick and clean. I barely even noticed the crew was there and left. They did a final walkthrough with me and my husband and everything looked great! Happy I went with this company. I love this company! We wanted some turf for our backyard and some design help and they sent out Jeff. He was so helpful during our first meeting. Super detailed about the product and the company I could tell he really cared about what he did. (Had another guy out the day before from another company to give an estimate and he barely spoke to us and left quickly after doing some measurements and saying someone would email us. Didn't like that experience.) We ended up going with turf and pavers. We love the way it turned out. The crew was clean and communicative throughout the process. We even saw Jeff again on install day when he came to give the crew some gatorades and review the job with us a bit. After the install we had some family and friends over and they LOVED it! Paid a 10% down-payment. Can't get a return call from this company. Rico is rude and treats you like dirt asking for the next 40% payment before they start. They want the final 50% when they start. I can't get a call back after they ran off with my 800.00 down payment. They want all there money then have you do all the phone calls that they don't return. I have been quoting out Turf for my house over the past month and Big Bully, more specifically, kyle, was an amazing help. He went over a bunch of different scenarios and as well even did an unbiased analysis on his turf which I appreciated the honesty. I was cautious on the artificial turf. The prices were very high. However, I heard that all new grass has to be artificial. With the drought, I turned off the water to the grass that I did have. It all died. I got some estimates and I did not like the people or the price or the timing. Then I got an estimate from Big Bully Turn. The man who came out and looked at everything, the other estimators, ignored. He drew a complete diagram and a very reasonable price, started in 2 weeks, and completed in 3 days. All of the people were fantastic. It was a great job and I recommend them. read more
