Sunday, December 14, 2025 My husband and I went to the Woodhaven Big Boy and ordered the Classic Breakfast. Today we had Britney and she took such good care of us! She is a very good waitress, very hospitable! I love, love love Big Boy; I have been going to Big Boy since the 60's. I always get such good service here at the Woodhaven location; they make you feel right at home! Whatever we order at Big Boy is always good; we have no complaints. They are charging higher prices at the register over what they display on menus. Be careful they are clearing scamming. I noticed this a couple months ago and pointed it out. I was told it was just a mistake. I had lunch there again yesterday and saw them over charging on menu items again. I pointed it out and was told a variety of excuses. I decided to eat a little unhealthy yesterday, I was craving some mozzarella sticks and they did not disappoint they were very good and the breading had some pretty good flavor. The servers were nice. I was the only one there for a while around 7:30pm on a Thursday, I thought I was strange but more people started coming in as I was leaving. The food overall was okay the chicken tenders were kind of hard but still good. I also had brownie sundae which was so good not as good as it use to be back in my day but it's still delicious. Just okay for me. I know this was during COVID times, but everything was just... Okay. The food, the service, the atmosphere.... I got a Super Big Boy, and it was... Fine. Nothing special. Seemed super small to have 2 patties. I could have counted the number of fries in the basket. The sides to my mom's breakfast came after the rest of the food. I would give them a 4 star, but NO paper towel in the bathrooms. Come on, spend a little money for waitresses and customers. Prices are not inexpensive (add the paper towels!) , nice atmosphere. No management or adults on the premises. We went in for dinner noting that only one of their waitresses were wearing a mask; that was ok. As one of the other young ladies were seating us, we asked her if it would be ok if we requested to have the waitress wearing a mask be our waitress. She was very nice and said that she wouldn't mind putting one on. We thanked her and took our seats. Suddenly, another girl arrived at our table with her hands on her hips saying,"are you the ones that have a mask problem?" We asked her why she was approaching us in this manner. She said she wasn't doing anything wrong and they aren't required to wear masks. There was no need for her to insinuate herself. There were two people willing to work with us. Her nastiness was not necessary. We asked for a manager or someone in charge (she was clearly a teenager). They said there wasn't one there. We promptly left as this had become a hostile environment. A call to the restaurant was made the next day and there was no manager on duty until supposedly the next day. Not the way to do business. What an ugly experience! read more

I have been going to this Big Boy since it opened and generally have found it to be decent. You could order combination Sandwiches and have a salad or slaw. Not anymore as they have done away with combination plates. If you want a salad its $1.99 additional price, which brings the price of a sandwich with fries to $9.98. Quite high for a Slim Jim. Not sure as to why they made the change but I found it disappointing. read more

Glad to see this is finally on Yelp! Have visited a couple times since they opened. Quality is good. Recipes are spot on from "back in the day." I always get the fish sandwich. Large piece of fish -- crispy, hot and not greasy. Will be back for sure! read more
