Lunch with my 70+ year old friends. We 5 sampled just about everything with no complaints. I went with breakfast that is available 24 hours a day. The poached eggs were done as ordered. The country fried steak with gravy was good. The substitute sliced fruit for home fries was very small. Service was slow but we were in no hurry. I don't know what moron was making the food today, but I got my chicken and waffles that looked like someone sucked the joy and whimsy from it. The nice greyscale colouring of the waffle went very well with the smoosh presented by the wet crunch-less waffle. Thankfully the two broken yokes that leaked all over my broken bacon in my blockbusters box made things better. 15 dollars for inedible takeout. read more

I got the big boy burger and i ordered extra sauce because its always dry and the waitress charged me for extra sauce but the burger was bone dry not one ounce of sauce so i had to pay for the sauce that already was supposed to come on the burger. read more

We were visiting in the area and decided to stop for dinner. Big Boy restaurants can vary from town to town but we know we can usually get a good meal at a reasonable price. My husband got the soup and salad bar as his entree. Four soups were offered. He was happy with the salad bar offerings also. I got the Build Your Own Burger. It was really delicious. Came out hot. The bun was particularly good. The fries were just warm, not really hot. My only disappointment in this restaurant was that the plastic menu I got was really dirty and it was falling apart. My family and I, making 4 of us, went to Big Boy while visiting my sister. We were seated right away, and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. We got our drinks and orders taken right away. Although I think the Big Boy mascots is very creepy, the food makes up for it. It's not the best food I have ever had, but it is really good for the price. Big boy .... oh where to start to complain. Many many times has the food been awful and incorrect but this instant tops the charts. We ordered two bowls of soup to go (a bowl is 12oz) I called to say we received two cups (8oz which is labeled on the bottom of the bowl) instead of two bowls and the manager said he'd filled them-himself, and I stated that I am in the restaurant business as well which is what prompted my call in the first place, and this is just a cup. Greatly disappointed. I ordered a slim Jim with onion rings. I was asked if I'd like to wait since they had run out of onions and sent someone to purchase some. After 15 minutes I was told their employee sent out couldn't find any onion rings. I said "you mean onions, right since you hand batter your onion rings?" I was told that they haven't hand battered them in years. I was greatly confused since hanging on the wall was one of their ads for onion rings which stated, "hand battered". Can't believe I'm giving five stars to a Big Boy but this place really does deserve it. Me and my family were in from out of town for a funeral, after a really long sad day we wanted a little comfort food and this was the only place we could find that was still open. We walked in and were greeted and served by some of the nicest people I've ever met and were from Ohio where people are generally pretty friendly too. From the host to the manager to the waitress everyone was just so sincerely friendly and warm we couldn't believe it, they really made us feel welcome and you cold just sense how genuine they were being unlike so many other places where they "pour on the charm" just for show. The food was also prepared exactly as we ordered and came out quickly. I had a burger which was excellent and a strawberry malt which was also delicious. Overall I can't say enough good things about the staff here, if I'm ever in Holly I'll be stopping by again if nothing else to to get cheered up by the awesome people working here. read more

This Big Boy is about consistency, and being conistently good more specifically. Been coming here for 8 years now, less now that the boy is grown, and their service has always been outstanding. I usually end up with some sort of sandwich (more often than not a classic Big Boy Hamburger) and the soup and salad bar. Always plenty to choose in terms of soups (4) and the salad bar which stocks small desserts as well. The Big Boy Classic is a classic for a reason and sometimes you just got to have one. Wish that they had not discontinued the Hot Fudge Cream Puff or else we would probably be here more often as that is the Bride's all time favorite. A lot has changed in the Grand Blanc food scene over the years we have been here, including two new eateries right across the street, but I think Big Boy will always retain the folks who appreciate simpler times and consistent good food and service.. read more

We Had a Very good time at BigBoy Grand Blanc this morning after my sons basketball game for Breakfast and Lunch. The breakfast buffet was very well taken care of, nicely decorated and the food tasted great. Always have had good meals here but you can tell they have bumped it up a notch.
