I placed an order using Uber eats. It indicated that the restaurant would be delivering the food themselves. An hour and 15 minutes later, my food had still not arrived. So I called the restaurant directly to figure out how much longer it would take for the food to be delivered. The woman looked up the order and apologized that I was outside of their delivery area. After an hour and 15 minutes, they had not cancelled my Uber order, leaving me having to order dinner from another restaurant and eating dinner much later than anticipated. If they're not going to use Uber as a delivery service, why even use UBER eats? ... bottom line, if you are thinking of ordering from them, I'd recommend calling and verifying that you're within their delivery zone before placing an order. read more

Used to love their pizza but I don't know what happened this last time. I ordered a medium cheese pizza and all the cheese was on one side as if the box was laid on its side instead of flat, the tomato sauce was so soupy and thin like it had been watered down. This place was very disappointing. I'm not sure if it was because of being understaffed or this is their standard. I ordered pasta. It was terrible. The pasta was bland. The chicken had no flavor. The cheese garlic bread tasted artificial with sliced cheese. It all tasted so processed. Even my husband that never complains said it was terrible. This was a let down. The reviews on Uber eats looked like it would be but it was bad. The cheesy garlic bread tasted bland and like they used cheap mozzarella cheese. Ordered Pizza's at 3:45pm, Called at 5:00pm because it still wasn't here, was told on the phone, " oh it's on it's way now" Pizza arrives at 5:22pm, cold, soggy in the middle. Guy puts the pizza bag on the floor, and asks me for the money, I said I wanted to check if the pizza was hot first, he was grumpy but said okay. My wife and I LOVE Big Bite Pizza!!! We lived in the area near this Pickett Street location for about 6 years. Thankfully I found Big Bite ...by giving it a chance one time after driving all over the area looking for a good place to get pizza. It became our "go to" pizza place. Always carry-out ....cause it's not a sit-down place. Good crust, good sauce, good toppings, .... mostly pretty good staff at the counter. In need of a simple and cheap dinner the wife and I haven't shared a pizza in awhile so I figured what the heck lets give these guys a shot! I've driven past this place countless times and never had the need or want to try until last night! What made it even better was the online ordering process... they have everything down to ketchup packets you can order for delivery or pickup?! This pizza place came highly recommended by my co-worker who is a self-proclaimed pizza connoisseur Dec' 2017.  I ordered the cheeseburger pizza w/eggplant, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, the bourbon wings and the tuna fish, carrot cake & cheesecake.   I really like the pizza crust, not too thin or too thick. just right it was good. Love this place! We order from here all the time. The pizza is amazing, it's one of the only pizzas that I eat the crust. The showstopper here are the calzones- they are huge! This place has some tasty buffalo wings. I hate buffalo sauces that are too vinegary and massive tough wings that look like the chickens were on steroids. The wings here were medium sized and still slightly crispy, coated in not too tangy buffalo sauce. This was the closet, local pizza joint to our old apartment. Don't let the 666 address defer you, compared to other pizza joints in the area, these kids are saints. Their pizza is very enjoyable. Its not too cheesy, and not too saucy. They have a good crust and we never received anything that was burnt. Their sandwiches are good too. If you get the meal it comes w/ a pickle, they do their best to separate it from the actual sandwich (which my husband always appreciated) and they have a good selection of chips and soda. Their brownies are bomb. Kind of a cross between the Little Debbie nut brownie and a Zig Zag. We went in and waited for food a number of times, and they guys that work there are very nice. As far as delivery, it was almost faster to go and wait. They recommend that you place a delivery order online, especially if you're paying w/ a credit card. Big bite is pretty good and that took me by surprise. They have a lot more than just pizza to offer and their prices are reasonable. We ordered just a regular ole pepperoni pizza with wings and even though the wings were the star of the show, the pizza wasn't bad. I like that you can order the wings in different cooking styles such as extra crispy and they have plenty of sauces/seasonings to choose from. We received their menu at work and hesitated to order from them as most places that have pictures on the menu tend to be rather mediocre. Wow, was I surprised! I ordered the potato skins (more like boats) because of the picture. I was really surprised when the skins I received looked just like they did in the picture. They are essentially, half of a potato with some meat scooped out and a whole lot of cheese and a bunch of really good, crispy bacon. They do not skimp in the least when it comes to toppings. So far I've had about half a dozen menu items and I've enjoyed them. The BLT had a ton of really well done bacon, not just the usual strip or two. The pasta with meatballs was great. The meatballs were enormous and enough to make a meal all on their own. I'm not sure why everyone is complaining about the fact that they won't take credit cards over the phone. Personally I think that 's good. That way my cc # isn't floating around on a scrap of paper for someone to grab. Delivery is pretty quick. Food always arrives hot. My only issue would be the cost to a degree. I usually order 2 appetizers and with delivery and tip, it comes to about $20. A tad steep but the food is just too dang good. read more

This place has really gone down hill! Big bite used to have the most amazing mozzarella sticks, they were so good. They used to have the most incredible potato skins, filled with bacon and cheesy goodness. We move to Alexandria 11 years ago and a friend recommended big bite pizza. Needless to say over the next few years we ordered from them once a week. It used to be game night and big bite! Now big bite is shit. You can order online but they will completely screw up your order. You can order the wings, but you won't get the blue cheese you ask for. You can order the burger, but they will ignore everything you asked for on your burger. The potato skins used to be amazing, my favorite, now they are barely fried and the potatoes are hard, lacking bacon and cheese. The wings used to be amazing; we would order 32 wings and that would be dinner. Now the wings are kind of fried and come with some canned wing sauce. This place used to be the most amazing place to get delivery, now it is crap. We keep "giving big bite a chance to be as good as it used to be" but alas, it is crap.
