I went with my boyfriend and he said it is better than In-N-Out. I honestly agree if you are looking for a vegan option. I will say I ordered a combo meal with tater tots, a drink, and a grilled cheese. I wish I didn't get this and only the grilled cheese because the taters and drink made me feel kinda gross. The tater tots were kind of heavy and the drink just tasted like a watered down Icee. The grilled cheese though was sooo yummy. It wasn't really filling for me but it tasted good. I also got a cheeseburger and I liked it a lot. I think if you want to feel full get a cheeseburger than a grilled cheese (of course if you eat meat). Parking was a bit tough but if you place an online order you can just hop in and get the food. The staff was super sweet! I accidentally placed a pick up order at a different location and they made my food anyways. Of course I felt bad and tipped them because of this. They also have seating if you wanted to eat there!

It's pricy, but the food has been consistently delicious with each visit. I miss their onion aioli sauce! I remember it being really popular around the first time I tried Monty's. My go to order as of late is a burger with a single patty (double if I'm extra hungry), their tots w/honey mustard or the house sauce, and the Travis Oat Matcha Shake. By no means authentic matcha, but it's a super thick shake that compliments this franchise's flavor profile. Where I find myself awestruck is how tasty a plant-based burger could be. Just about as savory, but equally filling and satisfying! The staff in both the Culver and Echo Park locations are wonderful. In my experience, the employees are patient with new patrons and really great with asking follow up questions to get a feel of what you're looking to try. Interior of the restaurant is reminiscent of a classic burger shop. Not too big, cozy, but with a pop of color on the walls with a good amount of artwork around. Next time I'm in the area having a bad day, I'll stop by for tots & a shake to brighten my mood.

There's usually a line, but it's only ever long on game days and special sales events. The food is quite good, and there's plenty of shelf-like tables around the primary parking lot to make grabbing a space not too difficult on a "regular" night. The only real issue is that it's gotten quite expensive (like pretty much all fast food joints since 2020. For the value hunter, it's best to check the company's social media feeds to find the days they offer 2-for-1 specials and whatnot. If one is rich... well, then "anytime is probably fine"; it's a decent and respectable way to get chili on the upholstery of your Rolls-Royce!

Updating my review from 4 to 1. Service completely fell off…read more There were only about 3 people ahead of me, and even they were getting frustrated with the cashier. Orders were getting mixed up, people had to repeat themselves multiple times, and she kept telling customers to "wait" before even letting them speak. One situation stood out--there was a customer trying to order in Spanish, and the cashier couldn't understand him. Meanwhile, other staff behind the counter were speaking Spanish to each other but didn't step in to help. Another customer who was waiting for their food ended up translating just so the order could go through. That shouldn't happen. When it was my turn, I tried to be patient. I downloaded the Tommy's app since there was a sign posted right at the register and asked if she needed my barcode--she seemed confused. I ordered a triple cheeseburger, and she repeated something completely different back to me. I had to slowly repeat myself several times and was still told to "wait" again. Maybe she was new or overwhelmed, but with that many staff behind the counter, someone should have stepped in to help. The lack of coordination made the whole experience frustrating. Food is what you expect, but the service alone made this a bad experience.

The difference between the two locations was night and day. Even though it was Mother's Day and busy everywhere, Boyle Heights was organized, fast, friendly, and fully stocked. There was plenty of parking, the line moved quickly, and the employees were courteous and professional from the moment we arrived. Most importantly! THEY HAD EVERYTHING. Fresh biscuits? Yes. Fully stocked menu? Yes. Good customer service? Absolutely. The biscuits were fresh, hot, buttery, and delicious, exactly how I remembered Pioneer Chicken growing up in Los Angeles. We honestly ate them on the drive home because they were THAT good. You could immediately feel the better energy and management at this location. People were constantly coming in and out, yet the staff still handled things efficiently and professionally. As someone born and raised in LA, Pioneer Chicken is nostalgic for me, and this Boyle Heights location felt much closer to the Pioneer I remember. I will definitely return to this location again. Thank you to the Boyle Heights staff for saving Mother's Day dinner. Sorry I didn't take a picture of the biscuits, the aroma took over, the box was opened and my mouth ate before my camera! ha ha ha

We were heading back from the Grayson and wanted a quick bite to eat. Ordered from the app for drive thru pick up. Not sure if it was on the worker's side or the food ordering speaker was messed up, the menu did look like an Eldritch horror, but we had to repeat our order code several times. We were told to go to the next window. We get to the next window and it's a window to the actual restaurant and not part of the kitchen. I have never seen this at a McDonald's before. Usually the first window is to pay or to get your receipt, second window is to get your order, and if it's super busy there's a small pull up area where they may walk out your food. But no, second window was just a window to the restaurant. We pulled up too far and instead of letting us just walk back and pick up the food, or just bring the food to us in the parking spot, I guess this is for safety of the workers since it was really late at night and there's transients around, but we had to just weirdly reverse and bring our car back into the drive thru line, much to the ire of the other customers. Not a great experience. Lady working there was also tapping her fingers and obviously very impatient. If you were a bit more clear with your instructions it wouldn't have led to this. Food and prices were cheap and normal, as of all the franchise locations.

Something to watch out for however is the entrance to the inside must pass through the drive-thru line, with handrails preventing you to go any other way. There is a lot of parking for a store of this size and even has a single parking space for those that don't want door dings. Inside the store, there is not much dining room, so plan to take-out or eat fast, as it loads up pretty quickly.

I have been to…read moreplenty of In-N-Out spots and for some reason this one just tastes better every single time, even though technically it is the same menu. The burgers here are always so fresh, hot, and satisfying. One thing people should know is that there are off-menu customizations, and that is the best way to order if you already know what you like. I never do the regular double because it is just not enough for me. I usually order two 3x3 burgers. One I get with no onion, and the second I do even simpler with no onion, no lettuce, and no tomato, so it is basically just the bun, cheese, and three patties. I always ask for extra spread too because that is a must. Usually I get two spreads per burger and one extra for the fries, so my full meal comes with five spreads and I use every single one. What also makes this location stand out is how well they handle the crowds. It is always busy, but they have so many employees working that the line keeps moving fast and the whole place stays organized. Even when it looks packed, service is efficient and seating usually works out fine if you just pay attention and grab a table as people leave. For such a high-volume location, they do a really good job keeping things moving. Love In-N-Out, always will, and this Hollywood location is the one I keep coming back to. Easy 5 stars.
