The mushroom gravy was a bit too heavy on the corn starch or whatever thickener they used, making it weirdly gummy, and was somewhat lacking in flavour. But otherwise this was quite good. Jackfruit Tacos - we ordered an extra one. This was decent, but a bit underwhelming for me. The ingredients were fresh. As for the Pottery Night, that was fun! Anais, who runs the event was very kind and patient, and gave us guidance along the way. I ran out of steam after making a few Christmas ornaments, so my husband used the rest of my clay for his projects (ashtrays). I recommend signing up the next time they do this!

We were there mid-week for a late lunch, so they werent too crowded, but I can imagine this place is very popular in the evening and weekends. It's also a convenient short walk to Kitsilano beach. They're a family run cidery that specializes in dry, 100% certified organic ciders. We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 2:30pm). They have tables outside (in the back) with a sweet view but you can also walk down and sit in the orchard yard. Only thing is it's very, very slanty. They had 8 ciders on the menu but only 7 that you could try in a flight (flight options were $9.00 for 3, or $17.00 for 7). Most of their ciders are in the very dry to medium dry category. There's also a small snack menu. Bottles are in the $6.25 to $6.50 range. You save slightly when you buy a six pack. You can buy fresh apples ($3.00/lb). Apple chips but these weren't cheap ($5.00 for 60g or $10.00 for 140g). - 2x Flight ($9.00 for 3) - we opted for the original, firkin and sky blue. Honestly, there wasn't much difference between the three that we tried. Then again, we aren't the biggest fans of dry ciders. Didn't love any of their ciders. 2.5 stars.

The tasting room can fit two groups in at a time. Service was friendly and informative. We lucked out and our tasting was done by the cidermaker himself! Interesting to see what went behind certain flavours and ideas. Tasting is complimentary and we were given 5 cider samples to try (plus a bonus soda). Cider bottles are $4.99 (330ml) and sodas are $3.99. They even had a mingler ($50.00 for 12 bottles). - Community-in-cider - a smorgasboard of apples (that would have been discarded) from the surrounding area. Pleasantly smooth. A good heritage cider. - Ginnish - we liked that it wasn't overly juniper heavy. Light with different flavour notes coming through. - Humulus lupulus - a lot of lychee and honey on the nose. Again, light but refreshing. An excellent hopped cider (which is due to using aromatic hops). - Poïple - beautiful colour from using the pea blossom. More of the fruitier style that we are used to with crushed blueberries and lemon zest. - Winter - a mix of winter spices (we tasted notes of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla). - Absinthe soda - normally we don't like anise but it was very well balanced and rounded. A variety of flavours come through and these soda babies only have 50g of sugar. We bought half a dozen cider bottles (love potion, farriessence, gingerella, rouge, cider noir and ¡feugo!) and two sodas (ginger and citrus). Can't wait to try out these flavours! VC was a pleasant surprise. Worth a visit if you're a cider aficionado.

We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (3:30pm). Go inside to order, they bring the drinks out to your table. 9 ciders on tap, all day snack menu and cider slushie cocktails ($13.50). You can order a flight but it's the same price as ordering individual tasters. They also have a "secret business menu" (aka. multi-course, family style tasting menu) for $85.00/person. - Flight - rose blossom ($4.50), joyride rose ($4.50) and rose coloured glasses 2023 ($4.50). Ciders are on the lighter, slightly drier side. I liked the joyride rose (sour cherries) the most but their ciders don't leave a lasting impression. Worth trying WC if you're getting into craft ciders but we prefer the Okanagan cideries.
