My husband and I came here for an early dinner before their "Pottery Night" event…read more We each had a flight of ciders (they had 20 on tap)! It was really awesome to try so many different types of cider. We also enjoyed the well made vegan menu and shared: Burger with side of poutine - the burger was very tasty, and the fries were top notch. The mushroom gravy was a bit too heavy on the corn starch or whatever thickener they used, making it weirdly gummy, and was somewhat lacking in flavour. But otherwise this was quite good. Jackfruit Tacos - we ordered an extra one. This was decent, but a bit underwhelming for me. The ingredients were fresh. As for the Pottery Night, that was fun! Anais, who runs the event was very kind and patient, and gave us guidance along the way. I ran out of steam after making a few Christmas ornaments, so my husband used the rest of my clay for his projects (ashtrays). I recommend signing up the next time they do this!

If I had to find a fault I would say the fries could be a little crisper. They have 19 ciders on draught, which are available by the 12oz or as a 4x4oz flight. I recommend doing the flight, as there are so many delicious flavours of ciders that this is the best way to try many. There is a small outside patio, and reasonable sized seating area inside. We were there mid-week for a late lunch, so they werent too crowded, but I can imagine this place is very popular in the evening and weekends. It's also a convenient short walk to Kitsilano beach. What better way to cool off after some sun than some cold cider!

After driving by this place too many times I finally made the stop, and had a wonderful time just…read moresitting in this relaxing area. Right in Gibsons, you will see the sign off the main road, and when you turn in it feels like a relaxing retreat of being back in nature, and being able to grab some beverage's of the adult variety. I didn't want to go all in on one cider, so I went with a flight with the help of the lady there. While sitting in their area, the space has other vendors, on the day we were there they weren't open, but you can get some food. There are a number of tables, a see through dome for those rainy days, and even a children's play area if you are also bringing in the young. Their ciders are a nice, refreshing taste, not overpowering in taste, and some grow on you after the first initial taste. It is something were a few were originally a little too light.. then after a few more sips you really want to buy some for the journey home to your own fridge. Two other things of note when you are here, and you can't try, but you have to trust it, they make their own small can sodas, from apple, to hibiscus to peach, and they don't sell these anywhere else, I took a gamble.. and now I have to say I can't wait to go back and buy some more, they also have their own apple juice they sell also.... that's also on the 'take my money' list. If you have some time, especially if you have the ferry booked and need to kill some time, this is the spot to relax, and at the same time maybe get some food, but for sure get something to drink!

Cornhole set along with some fun summer events (Sunday yoga and Thursday movie nights). No prices listed on their display board. - Flight ($9.50 for 3) - opted for the pinot/gamay, double muscat and bacchus. All three grape co-ferments were enjoyable and slightly funky. My favourite was the double muscat - Stone fruit ($3.50 for 4oz) - smelled fruity but ending note was strange - Sunday soda ($3.50) - hibiscus tasted like apple juice. Peach was better

The tasting room can fit two groups in at a time. Service was friendly and informative. We lucked out and our tasting was done by the cidermaker himself! Interesting to see what went behind certain flavours and ideas. Tasting is complimentary and we were given 5 cider samples to try (plus a bonus soda). Cider bottles are $4.99 (330ml) and sodas are $3.99. They even had a mingler ($50.00 for 12 bottles). - Community-in-cider - a smorgasboard of apples (that would have been discarded) from the surrounding area. Pleasantly smooth. A good heritage cider. - Ginnish - we liked that it wasn't overly juniper heavy. Light with different flavour notes coming through. - Humulus lupulus - a lot of lychee and honey on the nose. Again, light but refreshing. An excellent hopped cider (which is due to using aromatic hops). - Poïple - beautiful colour from using the pea blossom. More of the fruitier style that we are used to with crushed blueberries and lemon zest. - Winter - a mix of winter spices (we tasted notes of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla). - Absinthe soda - normally we don't like anise but it was very well balanced and rounded. A variety of flavours come through and these soda babies only have 50g of sugar. We bought half a dozen cider bottles (love potion, farriessence, gingerella, rouge, cider noir and ¡feugo!) and two sodas (ginger and citrus). Can't wait to try out these flavours! VC was a pleasant surprise. Worth a visit if you're a cider aficionado.
