Different Cheesesteak-Esque sandwich (#1199). My concern for brisket cheesesteaks has taken another turn. The seating area is fun and BBQ-themed. The young woman at the counter was very helpful. She recommended the baked beans and they were pretty darn tasty. I got the brisket cheesesteak. The brisket was sliced thin like traditional cheesesteak meat. Normal with brisket cheesesteaks I complain that the 'other stuff' (cheese, fried onions) take away from the brisket. This cheesesteak needed more of the 'other stuff.' Cheese was almost non-exsistent. BBQ was vinegary and mostly on the wrapper. I got pickles on it at the recommendation of the young woman at the counter. The few I tasted added greatly to the cheesesteak. I put my baked beans on my cheesesteak and that was awesome! A brisket cheesesteak with the baked bean sauce would be amazing!! PS I ate at 2SP. Live music. Big crowd.

I arrived on a Sunday at almost 2 PM and was surprised to find this place empty. It was easy to find parking in the lot as it is located in a mini shopping plaza. The cashier was pleasant and let us know that we order at the counter, but can bring menus to a table while we decide on our order. One of the best pork ribs I've ever had! I love the tangy sauce and the portions. I could only finish half of the 1/2 slab platter. I had originally wanted the Slice Beef Brisket Sandwich but they were sold out, so that must be something to try. Note that the white bread that comes with the platters is literally just white bread. I think it would be great if that was replaced with something else...cornbread maybe? They also do not have tap water, just bottled water for sale. I would also like to suggest using more environmentally friendly plate options instead of Styrofoam. However, I would come back to try other dishes if I lived close by.

They hooked it up! I'm taking this place over Mission BBQ all day. Chicken was juicy and the sauce is not too much like some other bbq sauces. Sides don't steal the show, they compliment the protein. Would recommend both the fries and the collard greens, really enjoyed the greens.

Doses look like much from the out side, is in a step center so easy to miss. Make sure you don't as probably some of best bbq I have had in PA. I don't give a place 5 stars or put it in my top 20 until have tried it at least 3 times but the wolf has real potential especially in the dessert of Bbq in PA. Having tried hundreds of places around the country in my west to 500 the wolf is a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to return and give it a try , you won't regret it. Tell ''em Big E sent you!

Very good experience. Service was great, food was great and very reasonable! I strongly recommend the loaded fries. Haven't had one at this price since 2008. And believe or not it's quite a quiet place on a Saturday afternoon.

My daughter and I recently tried this place out, as I had been wanting to try it since they opened a few years back. We shared a 3 meat combo (ribs, chicken, and pulled pork) that came with two sides (beans and mac and cheese). We also ordered some slaw, macaroni salad, and jalapeno cornbread. I have to say the ribs and the beans were my favorite - the ribs had a nice flavor and were cooked just right, and the beans (which are never my favorite), had just the right amount of tang and sweetness - they put celery seeds in their beans which really seemed to work - I'm going to give that a try at home. The chicken, mac and cheese, and slaw were also pretty tasty. The pork seemed a bit vinegary to me, so that wasn't my favorite. I could have used some BBQ sauce, but in looking at the reviews afterwards, I think you have to buy that separate. The mac salad was okay but that also seemed a little vinegary to me. The jalapeno cornbread was too sweet for me and I didn't get any hint of heat - being from the South, I prefer non-sweet cornbread and I can handle some heat. Overall, it was pretty good. Next time, I want to try the brisket and burnt ends, and their BBQ sauce.

This place is the real deal. I came here a little over a year ago and it was good but not great. Ordered it yesterday, and it was so good that I ordered again today. Even better today. Brisket and pork are top notch. The only other place in the area that is comparable is Mikes BBQ in South Philly. Being someone that loves and has worked in the BBQ business for 10 years, I really appreciate what this place is doing. Doordash and curbside pick up both very convenient. read more

My friends at Comcast said this was a great place. They were on the money. Finally a place other than KC, OK, or MO to get burnt ends! There is a lot to choose from here and is easy off 95 to stop in on the way north or south. Def a bookmark. read more

This place was a quick find after a difficult day. I AM SO GLAD WE CAME HERE! The owner Bill was AMAZING so kind. He was helpful and my bad day was no longer the same. But let's talk about THE FOOD! TO DIE FOR! The brisket was tender and full of flavor. My family is from down south and the pulled pork taste just like home. We also made some friends of a family who regulars there. This is legitimate BBQ! Hard to believe it is located in a nondescript strip mall in Aston. But reviews on Yelp were stellar so I had it bookmarked to find and Saturday was the day. First of all, I was happy to see they had a great sampler platter on the menu. Too many BBQ restaurants don't get it that fans like trying it all. I ordered the ribs, beef brisket and pulled pork along with Mac and cheese and the beans. I also ordered a half pound of the burnt ends and coleslaw to sample, then bring home. The ribs were excellent. Delicious, slow cooked for 14 hours. Three bones to try. The brisket was outstanding. Tender. Wonderful taste. The pork was a blob of fat. Never should have been sent out from the kitchen. The beans were top notch. At first I was worried when I saw these industrial sized cans of baked beans from my picnic bench seat looking into the back kitchen door but they dress them up and make them the highlight of the sides. The coleslaw was tasty. Different but good. Mac and cheese was okay. This was the first BBQ spot I think I was in that did not have bottles of sauce to use on your meat. There was a charge for extra BBQ sauce. Seriously? I just spent $36 bucks and I can't slather my 'que in sauce? That's BS. No wifi either which is as important today as clean bathrooms and good employees. It's 2016 for Pete's sake. Speaking of employees, the young lady behind the counter Saturday afternoon was great. Overall, this is an excellent BBQ outpost in Delco. I will return. read more

Limited hours but good for lunch orders. Brisket and burnt ends are particular favorites. Buffalo wings are tasty, but skip the ribs. Super friendly staff. Baked beans are recommended side. read more

I love Barbeque. A lot. Big Bad Wolf is the best in the area. The brisket is melt in your mouth delicious without being mushy. Big Bad Wolf does not drown their meats in overly sweet ketchup like many BBQ places do so you are actually tasking the meat. Definitely my place to go for Barbeque. read more

Coming from Kansas City, I like my BBQ. Big Bad Wolf is one of the few places on the East Coast that serves quality BBQ. When we come here, my husband and I share a three meat platter with two sides. Highly recommend the brisket and the pulled pork! read more

My eyes rolled back into my head as the aroma of the smoker hit my senses. My saliva glands nearly drowned me as they kicked into overdrive - How bad was it? Ever see a bulldog slobber after running 3 miles on a hot, muggy Georgia afternoon? I apologize for the imagery, but this place connects to a meat lover (such as myself) in an absolutely primal way. The only real question was if the food would actually live up to the expectations which were built upon the delightful essence of hickory, oak and peach wood smoke gently caressing delectable cuts of meat. Long story short - the food exceeded both my expectations and my aspirations. I never would have looked to eat a meal in this strip mall... but with a few (18) good Yelp reviews... we decided to give it a shot. The atmosphere was that of a park shelter replete with picnic tables... nothing too fancy, but very much appropriate. This is not linen tablecloths and fine dining. This is a place that specializes in slowly, artfully preparing meat. So, I would strongly encourage you to have a little chat with your inner-carnivore, put on your jeans & t-shirt, BYOB, and get on over there. Then step-right-up, open that door, and inhale that aroma. If you're still conscious, wander up to the counter and feel free to ask for recommendations - but you must at least try the beans. She assured us they are the "best-you've-ever-had" (pssst - she was right). My tongue is a bit tingly from the spice and 'tang' of those beans. I had the meat combo platter - so it came with pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs and two sides (beans and slaw for me). The brisket was the star of the show: fall apart tender, with a bark that was absolutely packed with goodness... I'm kind of at a loss for words, so let's try... ambrosia. I can't wait to come back and try the chicken and burnt ends. read more

Best BBQ around, no contest. Everything is outstanding. The BBQ baked beans are loaded with pulled pork - better than what I've had in the best BBQ spots in Kansas City. Ribs, brisket and chicken are so good but the absolute best are the burnt ends. Call ahead to reserve some before they sell out (because they always do). Definitely worth the trip from anywhere in Delco! read more

My first time getting food from Big Bad Wolf BBQ. Food was great! Prices were reasonable with the quality of food. I ordered the full slab and my wife got the pulled pork with cole slaw and Mac and cheese. The meat was soft and juicy. Fell off the bone. Pulled pork was consistent with the ribs, super juicy and soft. All in all we were very happy with our meal and will for sure be back again! read more

So disappointed! I paid $14 for a half pound of brisket. I got 3 pieces, at least half fat, dripping and greasy and I didn't really taste a lot of flavor. The Mac and cheese was good and so was the BBQ sauce they gave me. Only reason I gave them some stars. read more

Wow. Just stopped here on our way back home to South Jersey. I was in the mood for barbecue and sick of my usual options closer to home. The reviews are right this places is a great spot. The Burnt ends were as good as the ones I've have in South Texas and the wings.... the wings were awesome. They are the smoked variety and will be some of the best wings you will ever eat. Comfortable and clean tables are avail well to eat right on site which is what we did. Don't hesitate. This is the barbecue place your looking for. read more

NOTE: They do have several Tables & Picnic Tables indoors, with two BBQ Sauces on the Table, for those who want to eat right away:)lol MEATS: ** Pork Ribs(St. Louis) = (4) very good, and they come already sauced. Ordered a brisket and rib platter with two sides. Brisket was yummy. Ribs were very tender. Macaroni and cheese was dry and coleslaw was also dry. I would give this place a try again and order just meat because the sides were disappointing. read more

The BBQ was good, but honestly, I was a bit underwhelmed, especially when you consider the price. The ribs had a good taste but were not fall off the bone tender. I know some people prefer a little tooth to their ribs but for me, they were too tough and a bit fatty. The cornbread was dry, it was wrapped in saran wrap and sitting on the counter in a basket for who knows how long. The sauces they offered had a good flavor and the brisket was tender but if you run out of burnt ends just say that, don't char some brisket and call it burnt ends. I know I am in the minority because most everyone raves about this place so I'm going to come back and give them another chance because I am hoping I just caught them on an off day. I want to have the 5 star experience everyone else is talking about! read more

I've been ordering from big bad Wolf for the last two years. I only have one complaint one time I went early just when they open up, some of my ribs were dry I believe they gave me leftover ribs. Now I usually go in later in the day, OKAY!! read more

I love this place. They are dedicated to quality. The owner once wouldn't let me get the pound of brisket because he didn't like how the batch turned out. Everything is amazing except the chicken....because it is sold out so often I haven't been able to get it! read more

I got the brisket platter last night as take-out and I am thrilled to find such a great BBQ place so close to home!! The brisket was amazing and fell apart just perfectly. I got Mac & cheese and coleslaw as my sides and they were good, too. The coleslaw is definitely the best I've had in the area. read more

I need a few more Stars to rate this Barbecue. I Been in need for some Good Barbecue and Got Dammit I Have found my Go to Spot. The Ribs Slamming, The Wings Banging, The Sauce, Dam and I mean Dammmmm, and don't forget the little Cornbread Muffins that I thought were suspect sitting on the counter like that (Had Several) Now I'm stressed because I can't get there as often as I would like......But, I'LL BE BACK!!!!!! read more

This place has the best chicken wings I've ever tried. I asked the guy behind the counter what they do/how they cook them. He explained they brine then smoke the wing. After that they fry them to order. All of that work just for a wing this place takes pride in their food. Also had the burnt ends which were very good along with baked beans that were amazing. This place checks all of the boxes for a BBQ joint! read more

Wow ...It is great. Cole Slaw over the top very unique, same with ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. I had the combo as I was never here before. I think the burnt ends are the best. Ribs looked like a presentation box from BBQ Grillmasters minus the greens--beautiful mahogany color; complex taste; meaty, not fatty or sparse; and carefully cut. The baked beans are worth 6 stars--deep, smoky flavor with a significant amount of heat. Easily the best I've ever had. I also liked the variety of beans used. As some have mentioned the prices are on the high side but you really get sizable portions for your money. The only place I've seen in the Philly area with brisket prices ($20.00/lb) this high has been Fette Sau. The brisket sandwich is a good, less expensive option, though. Meat was nice and thick, little if any fat, and loved the sauce. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because the full rack isn't available as a platter with sides whereas the half rack is. That doesn't make sense to me. Service was friendly and efficient. Worth going out of your way for! read more

I've only been to this place once but I loved everything that I ordered. I got ribs, burnt ends, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. I am always hesitant to go to BBQ places outsides of certain geographical locations but this place is certainly an exception. I wouldn't have gone here if there hadn't been previously good Yelp! reviews. I agree with the other reviews, this place is mostly take out. I ate in the restaurant and was the only person eating there. Everything was delicious. Next time I'm back in this area I will certainly be back. read more

Ok...so I have no pictures but my son and I went after a soccer tournament today. The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly helpful picking out our choices. My son had the ribs, baked beans and mac. He said the baked beans were the best he's ever had (he LOVES baked beans). The ribs were so juicy with the best homemade bbq sauce. You know those sad limp fries that should've been amazing? Yeah, those. There were three young ladies behind the counter, each seemingly working their own station but at completely different paces. It caused a bit of a bottleneck where food was just sitting while one person tried to catch up. The phone was ringing nonstop and there wasn't a clear sense of urgency. One staff member kept stopping to text mid sandwich, which, hey, we all have lives, but it really disrupted the flow and made everything slower. If something was going on, communication with the team would've gone a long way. As for the food: My steak sandwich had zero seasoning. I mean none. The only flavor came from the peppers on it. Two hours later, after reheating it in the air fryer and adding salt and pepper, it was decent. My husband had a cold sandwich and enjoyed his more, so I'm guessing results may vary depending on what you order. I didn't rate the service too harshly because it was clear the staff was overwhelmed, not rude. They barely had time to offer a smile, let alone conversation. Still, I gave this spot 4 stars because I see the potential. The menu looks genuinely interesting, the space is nice, and I imagine on a slower day with tighter processes they probably put out some fantastic sandwiches. I'd definitely be willing to give them another try, but next time I'll show up with extra patience and maybe a backup snack just in case.

They only had chocolate chip cookies available that afternoon. You can taste the homemade love Candi put into it. There's no sit down area. It's a takeout place but there seemed to be many regulars picking up and Candi knew their names. I witnessed it while waiting for our order. It truly is a mom and pop shop and a hidden gem to out of towners looking for places to eat. When I return to the area, this will be my go-to. I've already sent friends over. Hands down the BEST BBQ in town!!!!! Decide to try something different for my Sunday afternoon gandering and stumbled upon this place. Boy oh boy am I glad I did because the food is INCREDIBLE!!! Everything is fresh and homemade, the chicken is so moist and has such a great flavor with their homemade BBQ Sauce. This BBQ is amazing! The ribs fall right off the bone and the brisket just melts in your mouth. The barbeque sauce is the best I've ever tasted. And you can't go wrong with any of the sides.
