Went to BBW for the first time tonight and wasn't impressed. I got the BBQ platter with pulled pork, Mac and cheese, and fries. The pork was decent but the sauce was below average- pretty much tasteless. The Mac and cheese had no flavor. Fries were good, but you can get good fries anywhere. Main thing that bothered me was... no corn bread! The platter said it came with "bread," which we assumed would be cornbread but was instead two pieces of stale white bread in a plastic baggy. The only corn bread it looked like they had was Saranwrapped "jalapeño cornbread" that had been sitting for who knows how long. Who serves bbq w/o fresh corn bread! Overall, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. Definitely not as good as all these deceiving reviews had me believing. read more

Mostly take out. They have about 4 tables inside. The menu is very limited. Beef brisket, ribs, and chicken and only a few side dishes. Don't take a vegetarian here. Even the baked beans have pork in them. Everyone in our group liked the baked beans just as much as the meat. All the meat was very good and we added this place to our list of places to go back to when we are in the area. The meats were all cooked perfectly and the wood smoke taste was great. There were many larger people here for take out, which is always a good sign. For what we got, the platters were a bit expensive for the cafeteria style dining experience. Plastic forks and knives. They do not serve beer, but are BYOB. Large and loud tv. The food was 5 stars, the dining experience was more like 3 stars, but it was clean and the staff was friendly. read more

I got the combo platter the first time I went in, as did the guy I went with. We each got different sides in order to try more. I got fries and beans-- both amazing. The slaw was great, a tad spicier than what usual slaw is. Unique and delicious. The mac and cheese was fantastic. Each meat on the platter (pork, beef, chicken) was great in its own way, but our favorite was the beef brisket!!! We liked it so much that we came back the next day and got a pound to share. We also tried the burnt ends... and I think I'll be getting that the next time I go. All in all, service, food, atmosphere... everything exceeded expectations. 15/10. read more

Heading to a gender share but arrived way too early so decided to try this place to kill time. Walked in and greeted but a friendly woman in the front. Asked her what to get and she enthusiastically said the beans and a couple other items. We got ribs, brisket, beans & corn bread. The beans were the best I've EVER had! Delicious food. Not sure why Yelp has not included any of the 12 prior reviews, but I'll give it a go. Just amazing food. This BBQ food truck is only there on Saturdays (front lot of a mobile home community), opening at 11:30. We have mistakenly gotten there at 1:30 before to find they were sold out of everything! We set our phone alarm at 11am now so we don't miss out. The brisket is so tender, the ribs meaty, just everything is great. This is one place where chicken does not play second fiddle. The coleslaw is my favorite coleslaw around. It's tangy, peppery, w a little kick to it. No sweet stuff. It's not often a side is worth raves, but this is. I really like their BBQ because it's not that horrendous corn syrup sickeningly sweet stuff...it's tangy NC variety, w some sweet to it but that's not the major flavor. It doesn't hide the meat. I love the celery seeds in it! Don't forget to bring your cash. No cards. Oh, and the corn bread is good too. Again, it has enough sweet without being cake, and it has whole pieces of corn in it. Just so you know I'm fair and balanced I find the mac and cheese to be pretty lackluster, too much on the velveeta side of the cheese scale. They're opening up a true restaurant location in the fall. We tried this place out of curiosity, and it was the best decision we've made in a while!! The BBQ is amazing, and that is coming from someone who isn't a huge fan of BBQ. The burnt ends are a must try, and the brisket and pulled pork are juicy, rich and seasoned to perfection. The homemade BBQ sauce is on point, and even the sides are fantastic. Delaware County needs some good BBQ, and they got extremely lucky that the good folks at Big Bad Wolf BBQ have stepped up in a big way. Upgrading from the former cart they used to have, the owners are getting their feet wet now in the main plaza right next to Victory Cleaners in Aston. If you're local to the area and looking for a lunch spot, this is it. About to move to a BYOB status, so add in some craft beer you bring and hello, you have a great spot to chow down. Atmosphere - This location took a long time to remodel according to the help (about 6 months) but inside there are a few nice tables, a small TV in the back, and a Coca Cola cooler up front. After that, the rest of this place is setup for BBQ, from the giant smoker up front (with the legit woods right next to it), to the high counter and chalk board of available items. Just the way BBQ was meant to be, simple, tasty, and gives you an appreciation for time honored TLC with great food. Waitstaff - No waitstaff here, just a really friendly counter lady with a bubbly personality and the gift of gab. Really don't mind waiting a few extra minutes for the meal to be prepared and always willing to be flexible and give you the extra wet naps/napkins when needed. Food - True BBQ lovers know good food takes time, and this place spends a good portion of their days getting the food ready. Open only from Thursday to Sunday, that's because the owners take their time in preparing great options from ribs, brisket, chicken, etc. When they're gone for the day, they're gone for the day, so it's best you try it early. I went with the three meat sampler and chicken in my part. This is some of the best BBQ chicken I've ever had, especially with the dark meat options and great BBQ sauce for the bird. Brisket was a bit briny for my taste, but a 2nd order proved to be that it was just my taste that day and not the food. Where they make their bread and butter here is with the ribs. Meaty, fall of the bone ribs, are just simply amazing. Their slow smoked tenderness and flavor are something even Frank Underwood can appreciate for breakfast (House of Cards reference for anyone not getting that). Anyway, well worth it, and I'm definintely getting one or two full racks for the Super Bowl in a few weeks. Throw in some homemade cornbread and delicious sides, and it's the type of BBQ we haven't had in this part of the county for a while. Glad it's only a ten minute drive from where I'm at :) Intangibles - Counter is kind of high and their marketing right now isn't too great. Facebook page is a bit outdated, but the food all makes up for it. Make sure you get in here before it's 'found out' by more foodies, because the lines will stack up here it's that good. If you're going, make sure to plan on enjoying more of a KC style BBQ, and not really a vinegary NC style. The best type of lunch out of office if you live nearby and have some hungry coworkers as well. Overall - Big Bad Wolf BBQ knows how to take care of the Three Little Pigs. They're doing a great job putting together some good food, and with a bit more info going forward for the public, they should really take their business to the next level. Haven't been out here in a while because I no longer work near the restaurant but whenever I have a bbq craving this is the place I'm happy to go out of my way to get too! The burnt ends are life changing!! The ribs nice and smoky! The baked beans!!!! They have so much pulled pork in them it's almost a meal by themselves! My fave is the 3 meat plate:3 ribs, brisket and pulled pork with 2 sides. The prices are decent,I think the platter is about 17-20 dollars including tax. Born and raised down south(Alabama) I almost got used to the generic Famous Dave's until I came across this gem!! I walk in and it smells like memories of helping my dad load the smokers for the ribs and brisket and chicken.. sometimes even bacon!!!! Lol, honestly you won't be disappointed with the meats here.. I didn't go much into the sides other than the baked beans because the other sides are pretty good but I find myself doctoring them a little.. more cheddar in the Mac, more mayo and seasoning in the Mac salad... oh but the cole slaw is very good!! On our way to the Philly airport we stumbled across this joint. Absolutely amazing. No sauce needed, homemade pickles, bomb mac n cheese and housemade slaw. Staff was very kind and helpful. I really don't want anyone tricked by this 4.5/5 star rating that Big Bad Wolf has. First of all, any place that literally serves velveeta shells and cheese as their "mac and cheese" should not have 4.5/5 stars. Absolute perfection, had the brisket with two sides of coleslaw. Is there a little fat, of course, it adds to the flavor. Ehh this BBQ place isn't really our style. The pulled pork has a kick so the kids refused to eat it. The adults thought it was tasty though. The kids ate the Mac and cheese sides and pickles instead of the meats. The chicken was good but a little dry. The kids kept asking where the bbq sauce was because the type of BBQ it is isn't the same that we are used to. It was a different place to eat and def better than fast food. read more
