For a time when I was growing up in Oshkosh there was a Big Apple Bagels near the college campus. Desiring some nostalgia, I visited the Grafton location to see if it lived up to my memories. I got the Big Apple Club sandwich without tomato on a cinnamon danish bagel and a cinnamon cheesecake muffin. The muffin was an impulse purchase and I wish I hadn't made it. There was no discernible cinnamon flavor and the cheesecake baked into the middle gave the muffin a texture like it was undercooked. The sandwich was fine, but not as great as I remember. It seemed to be a little skimpy on the ham and turkey and kind of pricey for what you get, though part of the price was due to the upcharge for the specialty bagel. I got the sandwich toasted, so the outside of the bagel became sticky due to the caramelized sugar in the cinnamon danish coating. I'd recommend some extra napkins if you get the same bagel toasted. read more

Someone here mentioned that Big Apple Bagels has the best bagels outside of New York and I have to wholeheartedly agree. I grew up just outside of NYC and have had many bagels. Big Apple Bagels truly has excellent bagels, and honestly, I'm surprised they aren't talked about more in the local threads. Their bagels are crusty on the outside, and fluffy, soft and warm on the inside. They have many varieties to choose from, from sweet to savory. They even make their own cream cheese spread, also in a variety of flavors. Can't forget to mention the awesome staff who are always pleasantly welcoming. To add, their breakfast sandwiches are pretty much some of the best I've had, ever. They taste authentically homemade, with real, fresh ingredients. My go-to order is a veggie omelette with ham and cheese on their cheddar herb bagel. It's divine!! We also love their baked goods and I kid you not, their muffins are Ah!-Mazing!! The jumbo muffins are exactly as it says-- Jumbo and packed full of sweet delicious flavor within its fluffy & moist texture. No dry muffins here! And their minis are my kid's favorites. So much so, that she refuses to eat the prepackaged big brand mini muffins from the grocery store. If you are looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat, whether for breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend giving Big Apple Bagels in Grafton a try! read more

Lots of bagel flavors. We went with an egg and cheese sandwich on a cinnamon sugar bagel - good flavors. I think I would have preferred just a bagel with cream cheese. The owner is always friendly and welcomes you in upon first stepping in the door. I always get the same cheddar bagel club sandwich toasted and it always hits the spot. Owner is an absolute hero! It had been ages since we had a good bagel. We just happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to give him a ring and place an order. With the current quarantine I didn't expect what came next! We arrived and my fiancé went in to pick up or order. He made us a dozen fresh bagels! Win! They won't last long in the house and it will probably be awhile before we get back because we don't live close. But please place and order and come visit him! LOXamillion! I understand the whole "chain thing" in terms of Yelp and reviews. My thing is, if I order somthing that is consistantly of high quality with enjoyable service, the chang gang goes out the window. I am a bagel and lox fanatic. When I am in Grafton for whatever errand, I must stop and buy a lox bagel sandwich. I choose sesame and it comes with an amont of lox that would rival any other bagel giant. Thow on cream cheese, red onion and tomato and you're golden. What I love about my take-out experience is that, I am going somewhere "Where everybody knows [my] name.... da da da da dadaaaaaa." The owner cares about every detail, every person and every dollar, which equates to the customer as quality. The only problem here is my sandwich doesn't have capers! I'm sure going to throw out my suggestion the next time. Alas, I still love its chewy, salty, creamy, crispy goodness. read more

After driving by several times a colleague recommended to stop in. The place is in a strip mall next to the auto parts store, which is a little strange. The bagels were nice and had a good selection. The staff was alright yet nothing over the top. A limited selection of bagels and creams compared to other bagel chains. Work stopping by if in the area yet nothing for a special trip. read more

Every few months or so I'll give this place a chance but it's never been better than mediocre. The coffee is weak and always tastes like it's been sitting there for hours. The bagels and pretty flavorless, you could go to any other bagel place or grocery store within 15 miles for significantly better bagels. As for the breakfast sandwiches, they are at least cheap but pretty bland. Also they managed to burn the sausage on the one I tried today. It's preformed, frozen patties. How can you burn one into a hockey puck and not notice? The owner is friendly but it doesn't make up for poor product. read more

The food is so so here but definitally not worth the price. 2 bagel sandwiches and a few muffins $25! My real frustration with this place is that we waited almost 30 min to get our to go food. The gentleman working the counter who I believe is also the owner is so concerned with getting money from his next customer that he allows his service after the register to go completely down the drain. This gentleman continued to ring up customers and let the one employee he had making the food struggle. Also the gentleman working the register very rudely interrupted me while i was ordering to converse with whom seemed to be a regular customer. I'm not one to get offended by something like this but when he started asking this customer about something facebook related I almost lost it but as my 4 and 2 year old stood there so patiently waiting for there mini muffins they where promised I kept my cool.
