If I could give this business 0 stars, I would. For starters, I ordered 2 calzones, the total was $39.00. The calzone I ordered was not the calzone I received. But let's talk about a calzone for a minute. It's a pocket, with cheese and toppings INSIDE of it. What I actually had in my possession was a medium pizza, folded in half, with 37lbs of cheese everywhere and sauce ("pace" thick and chunky salsa)/grease saturating the box i got the calzones in. Please please please do yourself a favor... when you think you're in the mood for a delicious slice of lake la's finest pizza.... Drive 30 minutes west and eat literally anything else. In fact, 7-11 has pizzas that have been sitting under a heat lamp for 13 days that may satisfy hunger more than big al's. But if you are brave enough to get pizza from this place, take a second out on your house first to finance the meal. It's not all negative though, the cheese was melted... that is all. read more

The delivery people are always nice. People who answer the phone always having a bad day. The product is always off. Wether it's the bread on the bottom burnt or the cheese isn't completely melted or not enough sauce on the pizza. The Good, I visiited Big Al's pizza because I was in the Lake Los Angeles area, I was not expecting much due to the outside appearance and it mostly lived up to my expectations. The pizza is decent, with good portions. The staff is friendly and provides fast services. The Bad, The place can look unfriendly from its outside and inside appearance. Paid $70.00 and the pizza didn't taste great, like not even a little and I usually prefer this place over the places in town, the last few times I ordered from them wasn't that great either. Very rarely you get what you ordered within 20 minutes...Sometimes you're waiting 2 hours...Sometimes the delivery guy will show up with only half your order...Once, we even had a delivery guy at our door when we hadn't ordered. LOL Oh, Big Al's I have such a love/hate relationship with you. We have learned that you MUST pick up your food if you want the slightest chance of getting what you ordered and getting it within a reasonable amount of time...So that sucks! Love the Peperoni Pizza, Pineapple and Peperoni, and double cheese pizza- heck they are ALL GOOD and the antipasti salad is the best I've ever had from a Pizza joint. I've had the tacos too, and they are pretty darn good...been coming here since they opened. During peak hours it takes longer. But I can usually have a salad in 15 mins, and pizza's take 20-30mins normally. Adjust your time accordingly. . .it's worth the wait!!! read more

Locals of the area so we consistently order from our neighborhood Big Al's. Crust is definitely the best part. Juan's pizza is my go-to but there has been times were the meat seems off. Other things in the menu can definitely be improved. The wait is a little long but what else can be expected for the only pizza joint in town. I'm a super huge fan of Big Al's. I love mushy mozarella pies filled with cheese and sauce. The pizza is so greasy and delicious. Yum! They also sell the biggest brownies you've ever seen. They are always pretty nice and have a decent dining facility to dine in as well. And if you go during the summer, you can even catch the raspado man outside. This place rocks! When I call my order in they are always respectful and attentive. The antipasto salad is delicious. The delivery times are usually between 45 min to an hour. The delivery guys are sweet and they are willing to go the extra mile to ensure that you are satisfied. One time I forgot to order drinks and the delivery guy drove back to the restaurant and brought back drinks. Can be slow on orders....seem to back-up... Even on a school night...and if they receive a large order, say 3-5 pizzas! Tell you ready in 30 minutes, waited almost 1 hour. Delivery can be poor, and take forever. Prefer to order and pick up... Pizza is always hot, and fresh ingredients... Salads are just okay...garlic bread is warm and do eye! Kitchen could easily be redesigned for efficiency! Just look at a Dominos or Pappa Johns.... For a small town hard to beat! read more

I used to be a fan of Big Al's but lately they've just gone downhill.. Lets start with the customer service.. The woman that took my order was just so rude, didn't care to be nice, and wasn't very knowledgeable of the menu. They are just not as friendly as they used to be. Second, they didn't have fried chicken OR WEDGES. Mind you I called at 5pm. But whatever it was fine so i ordered 2 pizzas and 3 orders of wedges. About 20 minutes after I placed my order she calls me back and tells me they had no wedges..?????? How? How are you not going to know you don't enough wedges? So i was thinking ok maybe she'll discount a little for the mis information but NOPE she was rude and did not seem to care and wanted to just hang up. I placed an order for delivery and was told that the wait would be 1 hour and 40 minutes. That time passed and our order didn't get here. I gave them an extra 20 minutes and still nothing so I called to check on the eta. I was told that the driver was en route. 30 more minutes passed and nothing. I called again and the girl on the phone said "well I'm not driving so I don't know exactly when the driver will be there. Ordered a pizza last night at 5:30 was told the pizza would arrive in an hour. 6:45 I called to find out how much longer, I was told my order was done they were waiting on the driver at 7:39 I called back and was told the driver was on his way at this time the pizza, chicken and salad had already sat for an hour and they thought it was okay to deliver it? I had this place for the first time ar work today and MAN!!!! This pizza was so good! I am going to start to tell everyone about this pizza. One of the best Ive had in the AV so far. The prices are extremely reasonable, the cheese and the sauce that they use is perfect. The dough is so soft and chewy. Amazing stuff. I will take a trip over the Lake LA anytime to get it. Best pizza in town! They're not stingy with their toppings, and it's the perfect cheese and sauce ratio. Wait time is about 20 to 30min and delivery is about an hour-2 hours, being that they're the only pizza delivery in town seems fair to me. My pizza has never arrived cold so I have no idea what some of these people are talking about. Prices are reasonable, it's what I pay at any normal pizza parlor.
