Big A Bottle Shop is the best in Cobb County, Marietta, GA; fantastic prices coupled with outstanding service. The hours are the best you can find in Cobb County; they are open as early as 8am and close late, the store is also open on all holidays including Christmas. The supply of beverages is impressive, if they don't have it in stock, the owners will submit a request to their suppliers to meet your requests and get the best prices when possible. Most of all is how they treat every customer with respect and appreciation. The place is not glamorous to make for low prices, the owners work extra hard to provide their customers with the best lowest of prices and the best customer service. Make Big A Bottle Shop your next stop for good service, and you will walk out with a smile, I guarantee. The weekend staff are usually part-time; however, the owners are teaching them the power of showing courtesy and love for "every" customer! Terrible customer service!!! Al is rude and disrespectful! I do not consume alcohol. I do however have a client that does, and on occasions, I go into the store to purchase items for him. My client has speech aphasia, so it is sometimes difficult to understand what he is saying. Al was rude to him and when I began to advocate for my client, Al told me to mind my own business and even cursed at me! I have been an ICU nurse for 30 years. I would never treat a member of this community the way I was treated in this store by Al. I am also a Veteran. The lack of respect and arrogance is ridiculous! This store is terrible and being a black woman, it makes me wonder why he thought is was ok to be rude and curse at me. read more

Very nice and friendly cashiers. Not the nicest looking on the outside but glad I went in.

The cashier was super pushy and rude. Attempted to rush me. Got snippy about me trying to use tap to pay, he said it didn't work. I then swiped it and he got annoyed telling me I HAVE to put the chip in. The screen still said processing so I was waiting for it to clear before inserting it but he grumped at me to put it in. It was a whole pain. The pink haired sweet human who showed me where to find what I was looking for is the only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1. read more

I have been to Big A multiple times and I generally thought that the store was great in terms of selection and price however, each and every time that Nader(the owner) has been working there I have received completely insulting and dehumanizing service. All of the other employees have been great but Nader's personality is completely inexcusable. read more

This shop has the best prices around. Honestly what costs me around $40 at another shop is a $32 purchase here. Its a huge difference. Plus: The owner and his staff are the absolute best. Fantastic liquor store. If you are a bourbon nut of any kind, then this is the place to be. They also have a solid selection of Gin as well. The beer selection is relatively solid. But, for anyone into craft spirits this, is definitely the place to go and They have amazing prices. The owners are very informed and super friendly. read more

Im from San Diego where the price of booze bruises your wallet. I recently attended a conference in Atlanta and decided to visit my uncle in Marrieta. Since i hadnt seen him in about 3 years he had a small welcome party. And by small I mean about 20 people. My uncle has expensive taste. What would have costed us several hundred dollars in San Diego, we got for less than a hundred bucks at Big A. Someone got lucky that night (my uncle). This is a great little shop! I was getting some car service done a few minutes away and just happened to be in the market for a particular type of whiskey, for someone's birthday, that was far more expensive in other shops near where I live. They did carry it, it was a much better price than elsewhere I'd looked, and they were very nice! It was a far more pleasant experience than a local store near me where there's an almost palpable sense of frigid disapproval from the store owners. It's a shame I don't live closer! read more

Went to this liquor store because my friend said this was her go-to store and they had the best prices in town. Well, okay. We went in and found the 1800 coconut tequila. It was $5 more than I pay at Minks. We told the owner and he proceeded to give us a long explanation as to why Minks was cheaper and how they won't be selling it at that price for long. Well I called Minks in front of him and the price was still cheaper. The owner did not want to adjust the price to keep me as a customer, so we left and went up the road to Minks. So he not only lost a new customer, but an old faithful one as well. read more

Big A Bottle Shop has never failed to amaze me with great prices. There is no other store that offers the honest and fair (and LOW) prices that they do. I realized it's no longer worth even trying to shop around for better prices for top quality and even middle of the road wine and spirits because they can't be beat. If you look closely at the labels other stores have, you will notice a lot of their own "generic" house-made stuff, and Big A only sells the best and doesn't mess with knock-off brands. The store is packed with such a huge selection I love that I get top-notch customer service and the guys will even pick the products for me from the shelves if I don't immediately see what I want. They know their product and can basically get you anything you want if it's not on their shelves. They are great for stocking parties and special occasion events as well. Great Prices!!!!Damn i was late finding this place but learn from my mistake. Great staff and like others have said for most liquors prices cannot be beat. Example as of 3/13/2015 1.75 liter of the Jameson whiskey was 39.99! I paid $47 at another place the day before. Angry Orchard $7.99. I was on my way to my new fiance's family gathering and along the way stopped into Big A for a bottle. I had no idea what my soon to be father and mother in law drink and I didn't want to walk in with a bottle of something ghetto! I needed a nice bottle of something that wasn't too expensive. I walked in and right away the gentleman greeted me, a pretty different experience.. actually said hello and asked how I was doing!?!? Not very used to seeing that in any store these days unless they're trying to be nice to upsell you. I was so nervous about what to walk in with since this would be the first time I'd be meeting the rest of the family. The gentleman came around the corner and asked me if he could "help me find it", got a giggle outta ME.. "I have no idea what I'm looking for" I said! I explained my situation as he listened carefully and came out with a few very reasonably priced items. He took the time to hear me out, and help me find the perfect bottle for my soon to be family. All with a smile! It's so wonderful to still be able to walk into a business these days and actually have someone happy to serve you... A week or so later, I went to another liquor store closer to where I live.. I walked in, no one said hello, and when I'd asked for some advice about the perfect Scotch, the response was "I don't know ma'am, you'll have to buy it and see how it tastes" .. I was thinking to myself.. this guy had no desire to be working there and I felt insulted that he clearly replied with a smart-ass answer. I let it go and continued looking down the isle and whaddaya know!!! I found the same bottle I bought at BIG A only this one was $4.00 more!!! So now we've got crappy service AND overly priced items. Instead of going to complain.. I decided to take this experience and turn it into something positive, such as this review. It's hard these days to come across any business with respectful, knowledgable and caring employees. Oh and there's a smoke shop next door too "The PipeLine".. Killed two birds with one stone! Since BIG A has such ROCK BOTTOM PRICES, now I drive 10 extra miles when I want to shop for my drinks. It may come out equal due to the cost of gas to get there , but I'd much rather have kind and knowledgable service. It feels better giving my money to people that deserve my business. I'm very big on customer service so I'd even continue shopping there if there prices were the same. I was a customer of Big A for eight years. Yes they have great prices, but the customer service recently proved to me that prices aren't everything. I was recently accused of stealing from this shop after I walked in & walked out without making a purchase. One of the brothers (owner) followed me out of the store & demanded to look inside my purse. Without hesitation, I allowed him to although I think it may have been illegal. I didn't have anything to hide, so I thought it could do no wrong. Boy, was I wrong! After seeing that I clearly had not taken anything, the clerk proceeded to walk off mumbling under his breath that I had walked in & out of the store four times without making a purchase. At an attempt to let him know that it was CLEARLY a case of mistaken identity, I let him know that I had been a customer for nearly a decade & I had never come in without making a purchase. I was simply going out to my car to get my phone to ask a friend what she wanted to drink. Nonetheless, this was the most embarrassing thing I've ever experienced in my life. The clerk yelled at me in front of five customers & was very adamant that I had previously stolen from his store. Even after seeing that I had nothing in my purse, never once did he apologize for his behavior. I cried all the way home. I'll NEVER spend another dime in that place. If you're going to watch your loyal customers like that & accuse them of such things, just get a better security system. I'm very disappointed. read more
