I've been shopping at Minks for over 20 years. The current people that own and run it are shady at best but mostly cheats and thieves. I buy the same thing every time and the price I pay is sometimes higher than what it should be, other times not. It's not an increase in price. I also bought from them through UberEats once and I was stuck in unusual traffic and I called them to ask if they would hold it until the morning. They acted as though they understood no English whatsoever. When I called UberEats they told me the store had already marked the item as picked up. Try and buy it to be delivered and see if they don't ask for ID. LET THEM KNOW YOU READ THIS! BTW DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A REPUTABLE PACKAGE STORE. I don't have one anymore. read more

I had placed an Uber order June 21st and canceled it within two minutes. I paid 81.08 for the drinks as well as service fees and tips. The drinks were 58.71 all together. However, I was charged a cancellation fee of 81.08. I tried reaching out to Uber and they told me it was the stores decision. I will not be going back. I am sickened by the actions. Especially because I went to that specific store to buy drinks after the cancellation. So I paid twice for drinks I only received once. I will not be returning. Used to be a great place to find bourbon at retail prices. Now they charge $130 for a $60 allocated bottle and you have to buy a crappy plastic jug of vodka and one of their store pick bourbons to even purchase the overpriced allocated bottle. They also refuse to post that information on their social media, so you don't find out you're getting price gouged and forced to purchase a package deal until you show up. read more

Was double charged for a transaction for $21. Spoke to Mark the manager to show the transaction hit my account twice. He claimed he could only see 1 transaction in his system disregarding the fact I clearly showed him two withdrawals and refused to refund me. Im now having to go to my bank to dispute the charge. Very shady handling of allocated bourbons and store picks. There have been incidents of lying to customers about store picks being "sold out", while telling other customers the same store pick "hasn't come in yet". Some customers can buy a case, and others are either refused or have to buy handles of vodka. The inconsistency and deception has turned away many previously-loyal customers. I've been buying from Mink's for years now. They always keep a fantastic stock of wines in all price ranges, the beer that I like and the best liquor selection around. Prices always seem to be the same, if not better than, the other stores I frequent, but every now and then they'll mark stuff down 20-30%. Mink's sold me the bottle of bourbon for $172, with the MSRP of $150.... And the Costco price of $129.99. All they offered was an apology. This is a rip-off practice that made me stop going to Minks after 5 years of loyalty. Mink's is a package store that I have been visiting ever since moving to this neighborhood. The have a very large assortment of beverages, in addition to a decent choice of cigars. They were never super cheap, but for a dollar or two above or below others, that was a place to go. We have been spending around $1,500 a year in that store. The other day, I noticed a bottle of Kentucky Owl limited Takumi Edition. I had heard it was good, and I knew it was expensive, but I was still taken aback a little for a price of $172. I bought it, despite the listed MSRP of $150, (of which I learned later). I blamed it on the market conditions. However, today in Costco, the same bottle sells for $129.99. When I confronted the staff, they apologized for the inconvenience and...see you next time. I don't think so. This is price-gauging and I paid for that experience. Plenty of other package stores in East Cobb. read more

This place is awesome. They have an excellent selection and very competitive pricing. Wines are very diverse and they have a cellar for the really rare items. You can literally spend an hour here just going through the inventory. Good whiskey selection as well. Mcallan 12 year for $54.99 very fair. Glenfedich 12 year for $36.99. Great spot !! read more

Stopped here while in Atlanta for the day; convenient location off of I75, well marked by a large sign and plenty of parking. The place is well laid out and spacious; with a sizable section for beer that is well stocked with both locals and more widely distributed regional and national craft brands. The bulk of the floor space is devoted to spirits, with a respectable wine selection as well. They even have a nice selection of cigars (that are reasonably priced at that) I had very little interaction with the staff; really the only staff that I even saw were at check out, and while friendly enough, were not overly engaging. Overall this was a nice store with a good selection, and conveniently located. read more

This place is the BOMB!! We've chosen it as our go to for beer/wind/whiskey etc & they don't disappoint never. Every time we go we get AMAZING customer service & the nicest staff!! These are some of the friendliest folks I've come across down here in ATL & if you ask about anything you don't see on the shelves, they will help you out and research your request! He's a massive whiskey/whisky and bourbon (which is obviously a type of whiskey) fan and I'm throwing in a review on his behalf because he'll probably never do it. His alcohol supplier was Perimeter Bottle Shop for a long time, since it has been convenient but on a trip to Marietta, either to go to Brazilian Bakery Café, Cuban Diner, or Douceur de France, we stopped at Mink's Package, to see if it had anything interest could be had. During our visit, AT was on the hunt for smooth, 20-year old Barterhouse Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey but the stars weren't properly aligned (and haven't been since--if you know where we can find this, send me a message or compliment, pretty please). Anyway, in Barterhouse's stead, AT got his paws on Jefferson's Ocean Aged At Sea (Voyage 3), Glenlivet 21 Year Old Archive Scotch Whiskym and Macallan Fine Oak 17 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky all at excellent prices, more competitive than the package stores in our area. A varied selection combined with great prices and friendly service makes Mink's a win. I was recently on Delk Road and mentioned to AT that I drove by, which sparked his desire to return soon. They announced they had 8 cases of a whiskey come in and was one of the first to get there. Found out they sold all of them (by the case) to someone else. A few minutes later, h see them for 4x the price on the second hand market... bad bad bad business practice! Was it really worth pissing off a lot of your customers and doing some sort of back door deal like this? Just lost my business and I'm sure plenty of others. No knocks here. Just wasn't able to find anything notable. Allocated whiskeys are locked up in a display when you walk in to tease patrons. They use a raffle system for those prime juices. Their selection left more to be desired. Nothing really stood out when compared to some well stocked stores. I'd probably come back in the area, as there is some promise. They recently went thru renovation and only store with temperature controlled cigar cabinet room. Price is better than other two. Terrible service! Heavy set young Caucasian young lady is a HUGE LIABILITY!!. She is more interested in playing gatekeeper to obvious OVER 40year old VERY GOOD customers than keeping this business off the YELP naughty list. What's REALLY CRAZY is that I'm a local business owner who probably spends I've $150-$200 a week on bottles of wine for myself ,wife and clients. This you g lady remembered me from when she asked me for my ID maybe a week prior and was told by her manager that I was OK , he knows I'm 44 by the way. Only having a pic of my NJ ID available on my phone while waiting on my NÉW GA license to be mailed(NEW Residence) she proceeded to deny my service based on the type of ID I had readily available, even though she KNEW I was Obviously of age. I've only been in suites / sport coats ect. So the complete lack of COMMON SENSE is beyond me. I would FIRE ANY employee on the spot who treated any customer that way. Especially if they knew who I was. I hope Mike wakes up and realizes that this you g lady is costing you revenue. I talked highly of my 1st 2-3 visits and spoke of how friendly the guys were and recommended you to many of my new local friends who were unaware of the wine selection you have. So going forward EVERYONE !! Steer clear of this place because from what I have read from some of the other reviews, I'm not the only one who feels this way. That your lady is the reason you have lost me as a customer for life and the reason I will make it my job to recommend ANY other liquor store beside Minks. Until this afternoon, I hadn't been to Mink's in FOR-EH-VER. Like, since I used to work at a nearby apartment community in 2003. Nothing much has changed in the years since my last visit. I have mixed feelings about that, but I appreciate any liquor store that finds a way to operate without bullet-proof glass (none of that here, thank you very much). The aisles are sorted by bottle size and not liquor type. Slightly confusing as first. Then I found the smaller ones and felt more comfortable about my purchase (and their selection). These guys have everything I remember back in the old days before the renovation they were always a great place to stop and grab a bottle now WOW they're literally an alcoholic heaven. You can get all kinds of beers and any type of booze. We found a tequila that we had in Mexico and couldn't find anywhere else; not only did they have it they had 3 different versions of it. How has no one reviewed this place before me? Seriously? It's big. Really damn big. I've only browsed the beer aisles and it takes a good walk to get to them. They have a serious amount of most everything you'll want or are looking for here, and can order what you don't find. I bought two kegs here back in 2008 and had a quick, painless experience on the order, the beer on the shelf is very generous, well varied, and easy to find, all organized well. I just bought a six bottle setup tonight and found it all easily with no effort, but the employees were still eager to assist even though I had it under control. Parking is a simple shot with lots of spaces around, they take all cards for payment, and are open good hours for the early birds or late boozers. I like this place... I have been here quite a few times to pick up some beer or liquor. My favorite thing about this place is that it actually has a pretty decent selection of imports and craft beer compared to others liquor stores in the area. They also have a variety of liquor... from rot gut to top shelf. The only thing that they could do better in was the prices. In the past, the staff has always been helpful. On this occasion, the staff was flooded with customers as it was the day before Thanksgiving and you know peeps like to get their booze on! The rose selection is very lackluster. There is an over abundance of fruit flavored vodkas. The wine prices are definitely not the best . This is a great store if you're in your 20s with all the cheap fruit flavored vodkas and 3.99 wines . I am more of a good quality wine by within the $10-$15 range. read more
