What a liquor store!! I visited Local Vine with my partner after a movie date and I'm so glad that we checked it out. Although I'm not currently drinking, I am a wine lover and my bf appreciates a really fine bourbon and whiskey, so it was worth a peek inside. This place is huge! We visited on a Saturday and it was extremely clean, quiet and not incredibly busy, which I love. The store was quite organized, laying out the different types of spirits, beers and wines in a very clear way. They offered an insane variety of various brands, from local to international, low-cost to big bucks, there was really something in stock for everyone. We walked down a few aisles just seeing what they offered, welcoming my bf to give me some background on some of the finer options for sale in the whiskey/bourbon section. I did notice that there weren't many employees on the floor to help guide folks through the selections, but luckily I was there with my own connoisseur. When we went to find some ciders to take home, I was almost disappointed as there wasn't much variety in the fridges but when we went down another aisle, we found some great options that were on the shelf. Let me start off by saying I have been going to this Local Vine since it opened here at Cumberland (I even have a couple t-shirts to prove it). I will go out of my way to visit Local Vine because of the variety and selection they offer for craft beer, wine, and champagne. I usually go for the Georgia craft and typically can find fresh Wild Leap, Firemaker, Scofflaw, Monday Night, and New Realm in stock. The staff is always friendly and everyone is usually willing to help. If you are looking for a specialty liquor for any event, chances are you can probably find it here. They will ask you if you are a member but you don't have to be one to purchase. Pro tip: if you check in, you can get a discount off bulk purchases (wine bottles for vino lovers). read more

You searching for something of the alcoholic variety? Local Vine probably has it, and if not...they got something very similar for you! Local Vine is located on Cobb Parkway in the plaza that is anchored by Main Event and the AMC. They feature a massive variety of all things beer, wine and liquor! I use the word "massive" as a true descriptor of the store as they feature booze from floor to ceiling and beyond! When you walk into the store they have it segmented out with all the wines to the right, that means that 50% of the entire store is dedicated to wine. The other side of is for liquor while the back left quarter is all things beer. I really appreciate the layout, segmentation and labeling of each section. The liquors are clearly marked in sections, as are the beers and wines. It really makes it easy to navigate and narrow down your search. They have all the big name brands, but also focus on carrying a lot of local brands as well! It is almost like a big box store, but of the local variety...so, best of both worlds! Prices are really great as well. A lot of their stuff is priced well below smaller stores and even the big box competitors. Service is always pretty solid, I am asked if I need help when they see me aimlessly wondering around and the cashiers are always friendly and expeditious with check out. A few other things I really enjoy about Local Vine is the murals over the beer coolers...it is all things Atlanta and really captures the essence of the city and all the things we love about it! Also, they have a lot of partnerships with vendors and through this they run a lot of specials/giveaways through the year. One of the most popular is their partnership with a local engraving company that comes and engraves whatever bottles you purchase with whatever message you choose...for free! I stopped by Local Vine at 9:40PM, on my way home from work to quickly purchase a bottle of wine. There were three employees at two checkout lanes - one was counting money at a register, one was just standing there and the other was checking out the 3 people in line ahead of me. When I approached the register the cashier bluntly announced ""card only", not "hi" or "good evening" or any other typically normal greeting. I usually always use a card, but I had lots of cash from a garage sale I preferred to use.....but apparently this store decides to stop accepting cash before closing - even though no signage indicated this company policy. I pointed this out and the attitude I received was unnecessary and unprofessional. She gruffly responded, "Do you want the wine or not?" If Local Vine wants to cut off certain payment methods before closing, they should make that clear in advance. Otherwise, they should train employees to treat customers with basic courtesy. With so many other liquor & grocery stores in the area, I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

It's between the theatre and Pier-1 Imports. ++ Ambiance is very clean and well organized. Wines to the right and beers and spirits to the left. LV has a Reserve Room in the back with eye candies for any cellar! Wines are organized by regions and varietals. +++ I shopped for wines and spirits. For beers, look at Michelle T's review. LV has the largest selection of wines in the area! Often difficult to find or special orders at other package shops are here...Alsatian / Germanic Müllers, Washington late harvests, Sauternes, certain Oregon Pinots, Bulgarian (new for me) wines, ports, Korean soju, sake along with the usuals. They had nearly a dozen different Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a good selection of Cabs, Pinots, Malbec, Brunellos and blends! LV had an entire aisle full of roses and lots of whites too. It's nice to peruse instead of having to call and special order! For spirits, I found single malts, a bourbon and vodkas I was looking for. They have mixers, provisions as well as a small case of cigars. + Price is very competitive! They discount a "1/2 case" YES! ++ Service was friendly and very helpful...much better than at the nearby package stores! Even though the store is a good size, their customer service made it feel warm. Whatever I asked they had it in stock (except for one) and walked me to the section...I was impressed. LV checked with their distributors for a bottle of import I was searching and found out that it is not carried in our state. Local Vine is a fairly new local spirit shop. I came in tonight to find a wine I tried at a wine tasting. I hate to say Local Vine didn't have that particular flavor. But they did have the brand. The customer service here was one point. The manager did his best to find the wine that I was interested in even offering to look it up on the computer to see if he could fine and order it for me. I walked around the huge store looking AWE...at some of the beautiful bottles of wine and spirits they have. And shall I say at some very eye boggling prices. I noticed they rapper/actor 50cent bottle of spirit for sale ( one of those eye boggling bottles) Geeesshh. I asked about the airplane bottle size of liquors. And dang do they have a large variety of shot bottles. If your ever in neighborhood and in need to purchase some little hidden happiness they have the for you. read more

Local Vine is a great wine and spirits shop when it comes to variety. I had great hopes for it when it first opened because the store is huge and the selection is comparable. I usually come here when I'm looking for something specific that I have not been able to find elsewhere. Local Vine is my last stop. The reason why my review is three stars is because the customer service is terrible here. I've visited quite a few times and have only once had a good experience when it comes to check out or finding someone to ask a question, and that one experience was when it first opened. If you're looking for something it's a 50/50 chance that the person you ask will know where it is. Of course, you have to actually find someone who works there who is not too busy to answer your question. Also, I think I have only seen 1 employee more than once. Maybe that's why they are all awful; they are not around long enough to get trained. When it comes to checkout, there is usually just one person, but 1-2 more will show up if the line gets long enough. However, twice I have had the extras walk away when it's my turn as if I'm invisible. Luckily, I don't have to come here more than a few times a year, but it's not usually the best experience so I only visit if I have tried 3-4 other stores first. read more

Came by to grab some beer for the weekend, walked in to see 50 Cent standing by the registers! Didn't get to meet him, but that was kind of cool (apparently he was promoting his new champagne). Huge liquor store with a lot of selection, they also sell cigars near the cash registers as well. What I really like about Local Vine is they allow you to build your own six-pack of craft beer singles, so you're able to try a variety of different beers before committing to the whole pack. Since they're new, a lot of the labels didn't work and they had to manually type things in - not a huge deal since we weren't in a hurry but I'd imagine this happening to a lot of the items here based on just the sheer quantity of inventory. Definitely would come back again, definitely rivals the selection and prices of Smyrna World of Beverages. read more

This is my favorite liquor store for many reasons. I literally live in walking distance to a liquor store but I opt to come to this one because they have such a huge selection. This store is located next to the movie theatre and I just randomly went in before my movie started because I had extra time to waste and stumbled upon this gem. Parking lot is big but it can get crowded so sometimes you may have to circle around to find a park. This place is huge and they have a big selection of beer, wine and bourbon. I like this location because you can order liquor online and pick it up in store/curbside. They also carry a lot of liquor that I have not been able to find at other liquor stores. This location is always very clean, the aisles are spacious which provides an extra sense of security during the pandemic. The employees are most helpful, knowledgeable and are always so nice. They have competitive prices as well so that's also a plus. read more

I had the pleasure of walking into this store by sheer accident. It was the BEST accident I had that day. As I walked into the store, I admired the setup of the store and found myself wanting to walk down every aisle. I was meeting friends so I had no time for that...but trust me I will return to finish my pleasurable shopping experience. This place is actually about 15 minutes away from me, and I pass four or five other liquor stores on the way. It's worth the extra drive. The prices are reasonable and the selection is amazing, and they're always friendly. It's also well lit and clean with plenty of parking, which is a big deal in Atlanta. read more

We are very disappointed and disgusted in the customer service we received today. My husband and I frequent here to buy our favorite tequila. We stopped here to pick up exclusive and expensive tequila bottles for our best friends 30th birthday party. As we checked out we were refused to purchase because although I had my license , my husband left his wallet at home. Two men said it was store policy to card every single person in the party. This is ridiculous because out of the many times we visited here this "store policy" has NEVER happened to us. The unfortunate part is that we saw white couples checkout without showing both of their ID's. Truly disheartening that this "store policy" just happened to apply to us today. I've frequented Local Vine since just about Day 1 and now I never need to go anywhere else! The selection is incredible for whichever alcohol you're looking for. This was made super apparent when I not only found one of my favorite Austrian shandies but also it's regular beer equivalent which I had never seen sold in America. Their local brewer's selection is also immense and so great to find many of the smaller breweries in the area's beer here. Furthermore, my wife and I utilized Local Vine for the alcohol we provided at our wedding last year. The staff was great I getting everything prepared and helping us load up our car(s) that day. They gave us a competitive price as well which made choosing them even easier. All in all, I highly recommend even just stopping in to check out Local Vine. You may never want to leave! read more

Soft Drink Refill Speed: Not Allowed :( Other than those massive bottles of Kirkland vodka, you probably won't find a better value in spirits. By price, selection, and environment, probably the best liquor store in the area. The space is enormous, the craft beer and whiskey selections are particularly expansive, and usually at the same or lower prices than other stores. I used to frequent Total Wine as my one stop shop for alcohol. When it comes to amount, they're both pretty comparable; however, the Total Wine closest to Local Vine doesn't sell liquor but Local Vine sure does! I personally love the layout of Local Vine more due to the lower shelving so it made it seem more open and brighter. Local Vine has my heart. And my wallet. read more

Don't waste your time! I put in an online order. They called to tell me that 3/4 things I ordered are out of stock. I said I'd come get the other one anyway. I drove 15 min to support them even though my local gas station has the same beer. Spoke to him at 7:50. Arrived at 8 pm and walked to the door at 8:01. They said it was too late and I could not get my order. Just wasted 30 min of my time trying to support a local business. I won't be back. read more

I really like Local Vine; they have a huge selection of wine and liquor, and the employees are very friendly. Their hours are also wonderful; they're open much later than a lot of other stores, so It's easy to run in for something if I forget. My only complaint is that, as a wine store, I'd hoped they'd have more (or any) natural wines. Instead, I have to go to Hop City or Perrine's, which are further away. read more
