Van was probably pretty nice when it was made in 1996. The full leather interior was badly worn, and the carpeted floor was quite dirty. The front windshield had a large ding from which 3 cracks radiated across the entirety of the glass. This was complimented by another footling crack just a nice eye level. My 2nd row seat was sort of loose/broken. Driver talked repeated on his hand held mobile phone ( but at least the calls seemed business related). Also typed a phone number in by hand while we were traveling about 70mph on a non-limited-access highway. Checked his calendar a little later when we were doing 77 up I-59. Passed a semi on the right hand side. If we had used Waze, we would have saved 15 minutes to avoid the construction Otherwise trip was uneventful, and the driver was very polite.

Mr Mathews is a retired welder on his second career. I learned of his service when Delta Airlines bumped my brother and his wife from a flight, and provided a voucher for Mathews Transportation to take them to a hotel in Columbus until the next morning. Mathews was at the hotel at 5am on time to get the family to their 6:30am flight. I've since used the service to take my mother from West Point to Tupelo for a medical appointment ($100 round trip including 3 hours waiting), and to get myself to the airport ($25 typically, though $30 for the early flight, price of course subject to change, call to confirm). The car is well marked, in excellent condition, with room for about 5 with lots of bags. Mathews tells me he'll also do pickups and drop offs in Birmingham (2.5 hours from GTR, cheaper airport) and Tuscaloosa (1.5 hours from GTR, Amtrak). Highest recommendation!

So what do we all know is at the beach? Water and sand!! My child was going onto the bus to grab her changing clothes for the next event and the male bus driver asked her to take her shoes off in a ride manor and proceeded to jump off the bus and kick her shoes about 3 times. Him not knowing that I was right outside of the bus. Thankfully there were multiple parents that witnessed his passive aggressive and rude behavior. And we all let him know that was not the way that should have been handled. She's a child. He went on to say she was rude getting on his bus and ruining his floors. I initially apologized because it was not intentional and I volunteered to clean it up. After he kept going on and on and basically looked pissed. I said what am I apologizing for if you're going to continue to act like a bully. Then I saw my daughter had tears in her eyes. She should not be crying on a field trip with her classmates and friends. We paid too much money for an experience like this. So I of course gave him a few words of how I was feeling. I had parents to remove our items from his bus and road on the bus with another driver. Later on I received information from other parents that he was always saying something out the way to the kids not knowing that parents were near or on the bus. Sad to say he has some growing up to do. But at his age, I don't see it happening. If you knew your contract involved kids and the beach then why accept the offer knowing that you would treat children in such a manner. My child's teacher laid into him really good and asked him to apologize. We never received one. I didn't expect it honestly. Scroll pass this company is my suggestion!

The flight supposed to arrive around 11 pm but was delayed and delayed and delayed. I was in constant communication with Xavier and he had infinite patience. I didn't get out of the Birmingham airport until 1:30 am but he was ready for me and took me straight to my hotel in Tuscaloosa. He seemed like a really interesting person with lots of stories to tell; normally I would have had a conversation with him but I needed to get some sleep because I had early morning appointments in Tuscaloosa. As bad as my flights had been, everything with Crown was smooth smooth smooth; I would definitely use their service again.

Was informed at that point that our daughter may have to share the ride with someONE else(as it was a busy finals week), and if that happened the rate would be less(awesome). One hour and twenty-seven minutes later she was still in Tuscaloosa picking up seven other passengers. We understood the possibility existed it could be a ride-share with someONE else. This led us to believe it could be two parties total, one other and our daughter. The dictionary defines 'someone' as singular, not plural. Lesson learned, we'll make sure to have all potential scenarios understood in the future. Made it to flight on-time, but disappointing experience.
