My daughter was here for two years, and I wish I could have taken every single one of those therapists with me when I moved. My daughter, who is nonverbal, could not use the potty at seven years old due to autism and a stroke. This therapy has tremendously helped her. She is now using the potty and using PECS to communicate everything to the staff at Action Behavior. They are amazing at what they do. They know exactly how to handle your child and take great care of them. I've never had an issue or problem with this location. Every single person there is dedicated. I want to give a shout-out to those who have left and those who are still there; your efforts do not go unnoticed. Thank you so much.

I get it, it's a big change for his routine and also exciting getting to play with new friends. However, I was lied to by his therapist Cole. Cole told me "he did very good he only has a few noodles left". Awesome right? Especially since I pointed out in our evaluation I wanted a goal to be for him to sit still and use his fork and spoon. I also packed him 2 bottles of water plus water in his sippy cup. When I get home and open his lunch box everything that I packed was still there besides a bag of popcorn and pudding cup. And at pick up I also noticed his sippy cup was half full and the 2 water bottles were still there. I thought hmm maybe they have a water fountain and refilled it. But now that I think of it he might not have drunken anything all day. Like I said earlier I get it big day big change. Everyone is still getting to know each other. What concerned me was the fact that I was lied to. Why not just be honest and say "Hey we had a big day and he didn't really want to eat." I wouldn't have been upset at all, I'm very understanding. We didn't feel comfortable continuing services because we just started thinking of what else could they lie about? Tiffany gave me a call back and told me it was me who misunderstood Cole. Cole supposedly said "he only ate a few noodles." She kept cutting me off with "sorry for the misunderstanding" "you misunderstood" Now why would I make all this up? Why would I stop services for my son when I know he really needs them and would benefit greatly from it? Why would I go through the whole evaluation process and paperwork, make people interview us and take time out of their day just for me to go "hey I know what Im going to do today, I'm going to make up a lie and stop services for my son" Tiffany good job at keeping it professional and not even giving me a chance to speak my concerns. I hope you cutting me off made you feel better because you obviously needed to feel superior in the situation and the ego boost.

would not recommend this clinic. The waiting room is not designed with children's sensory needs in…read moremind, which is concerning given the population they serve. Considering the amount this company makes billing insurance and/or ESA accounts, I expected a larger establishment or at least multiple gyms to better accommodate children. Another issue is that occupational therapy and physical therapy sessions take place in the same small room, which can be overwhelming and distracting for kids. I also highly recommend parents go back with their child, because I've overheard therapists say things like, "I know you don't want to go back to mom but our time is almost done." That was disappointing to hear, especially since that particular therapist once had such positive energy and tone. Additionally, I've witnessed therapists on their phones during sessions. One therapist was on her phone so long that my daughter mistook it for screen time. Another was pushing a child on a swing while scrolling on her phone. To be fair, I have seen some very positive and dedicated therapists here, but unfortunately they are mixed in with others who seem far too comfortable and disengaged. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but as a parent I feel exhausted and disheartened with the quality of care in DDD services. Vulnerable children and families deserve better.

The first Speech and Language Pathology Assistant ("SLPA") was terrible and we were told by the…read moreSpeech and Language Pathologist ("SLP") that it caused our child to regress in his speech... how do they allow that to happen(possibly due to lack of oversight as mentioned again below)?! We were still given a full non-adjusted bill despite the detrimental service. I should have removed my child from here at this point, but unfortunately believed them that things would be corrected. Our second SLPA was good. She was kind, patient, and tried her best, which was nice for our child. The issue is the actual SLP was never around and not involved in the care of our child. In about a year and a half of coming to this location, we saw the actual SLP once. The SLP is responsible for creating the therapy plan and making adjustments as needed, they also are responsible for having 10% direct and 10% indirect supervision on the SLPA (which should be documented). None of that happened. Our child had the same care plan the entire time. We had an assessment done at the end of our time which was wildly inaccurate (as determined by 2 other SLPs) where we were told our child was performing at a lower percentile than when we first brought him. Overall, the people are nice. The SLPA did her best with the limited resources available, but I cannot recommend this place. Side note, their billing was very lagged. We would gets bills for appointments 3-4 months behind. I did not hold against them as this is not uncommon in healthcare, just annoying.

The last few years with the whole pregnancy thing, and new twins has been packed with dr. visits, surgeries, pre ops, post ops, eye appointments.. so many visits!! We have had some good experiences with front offices, but mostly bad. It's probably a 1 out of 10 good experience ratio we are talking here. My experience with the Nelson Pediatric Therapy office was easily the best I have had when dealing with healthcare. Clarysa in Records is who I have coordinated with the most, and she is rad. Super responsive.. calls me, emails me.. She makes sure all my questions are answered. She kicks butt at her job, and my life is a little easier for it. Nelson is blessed to have her, and if the treatment is any reflection of how their front office is run, then I will be satisfied. Also, Wendy with Billing helped me out with some insurance stuff too and she, like Clarysa was on top of it. I will update after we have had therapy.. but so far, this place is excellent.
