The paperwork that I submit for him is irrefutable and have opened doors for him to get the support he needs. The location is very nice and, of course, kid-friendly. My copay was over $700, however, I still say it was the best $700 I ever spent. I had one weird moment when I was leaving the office and an employee jumped in front of me and blurted out that my insurance hasn't paid yet. It was very odd, embarrassing, and uncomfortable. Still worth the money. My lower score is because their follow through and support after the diagnosis is awful. After your diagnosis if they're over the age of 5, they send you out the door and you have to figure the rest out on your own. I called them twice after his diagnosis and both times they refused to help me. They were nice about it, but they wouldn't help. My insurance required validation from the psychologist and they refused to call them. So now my son can't get ABA therapy that they said he needs. Its very frustrating.

I would not be able to sleep for 3-4 nights in a row and was mentally and physically beat up by it. It started out happening every few months and by the time I first saw Dr. Townsend it was happening every other week and I was averaging 3 hours of sleep a night. I was very depressed and my anxiety was off the chain. I started seeing Dr Townsend this summer (September 2019) we met in his office 3 times and he developed and tweaked an individual sleep plan for me. I had a couple of major bumps in the road but he never gave up on me and was instrumental in me believing that I would sleep and could get my insomnia under control. I'm now getting a solid 6.5 to 7 hours of sleep a night with very little time spent trying to fall asleep. That is double the amount of sleep I was averaging before seeing him. I no longer feel so stressed about sleep; I've learned not to have any feelings about sleep (good or bad, it's just sleep). I lay down when I feel sleepy and I sleep. When I do have a bad night here or there, I don't spin off into a state of fear because I know I have a solid foundation and understanding of how to get myself back on track. He is extremely communicative (even on the weekends when he is traveling!) and checks in often via email. This whole process has changed my life.

My daughter was here for two years, and I wish I could have taken every single one of those therapists with me when I moved. My daughter, who is nonverbal, could not use the potty at seven years old due to autism and a stroke. This therapy has tremendously helped her. She is now using the potty and using PECS to communicate everything to the staff at Action Behavior. They are amazing at what they do. They know exactly how to handle your child and take great care of them. I've never had an issue or problem with this location. Every single person there is dedicated. I drove as fast as I could in stop & go traffic. There was no way to call in such traffic and they did not call me. I arrived 13 min late. I was informed the Dr just left because he thought I was a no show. What?!!! On Saturday I had to replace my brake pads...no wonder since traffic would speed up to 60mph then STOP! I just received a $50 bill for being late or a no show ! This is a very unscrupulous practice. I would NEVER, and I mean NEVER recommend them!
