Sunshine group are amazing as well and try really hard to make things as fun as possible. Staff are pushed over their own limit when having an aggressive difficult child. Everyone here has seen staff deal with aggressive kids that have caused bruises, scars, arms scratched up, a busted lip, things thrown at them, hit, bitten and we are supposed to "stay closer to them", we are ignored and pushed to continue our work when we are bleeding, or just need a break from being assaulted by a child. Our feelings our ignored and only few staff including TPS and BCBA is there for us if we need a break. We are expected to be okay with being assaulted and continue the low pay with this happening everyday.

I get it, it's a big change for his routine and also exciting getting to play with new friends. However, I was lied to by his therapist Cole. Cole told me "he did very good he only has a few noodles left". Awesome right? Especially since I pointed out in our evaluation I wanted a goal to be for him to sit still and use his fork and spoon. I also packed him 2 bottles of water plus water in his sippy cup. When I get home and open his lunch box everything that I packed was still there besides a bag of popcorn and pudding cup. And at pick up I also noticed his sippy cup was half full and the 2 water bottles were still there. I thought hmm maybe they have a water fountain and refilled it. But now that I think of it he might not have drunken anything all day. Like I said earlier I get it big day big change. Everyone is still getting to know each other. What concerned me was the fact that I was lied to. Why not just be honest and say "Hey we had a big day and he didn't really want to eat." I wouldn't have been upset at all, I'm very understanding. We didn't feel comfortable continuing services because we just started thinking of what else could they lie about? Tiffany gave me a call back and told me it was me who misunderstood Cole. Cole supposedly said "he only ate a few noodles." She kept cutting me off with "sorry for the misunderstanding" "you misunderstood" Now why would I make all this up? Why would I stop services for my son when I know he really needs them and would benefit greatly from it? Why would I go through the whole evaluation process and paperwork, make people interview us and take time out of their day just for me to go "hey I know what Im going to do today, I'm going to make up a lie and stop services for my son" Tiffany good job at keeping it professional and not even giving me a chance to speak my concerns. I hope you cutting me off made you feel better because you obviously needed to feel superior in the situation and the ego boost.
