Excellent service excellent place clean way better than what we have on Maui. That's for sure. I'm coming back to this place. He has five kids of his own -- so that connection comes easily for him. He's a smart guy, but takes the time to make sure we understand the procedure, any alternatives, pros/cons, and anticipated outcomes. I've learned that dentistry is an increasingly competitive profession. As a result, many dentists seek to supplement their revenue by performing work that has traditionally been done by oral surgeons. Most dentists don't have the specialized training required of oral surgeons. If you need your wisdom teeth removed or other complex procedures, you're far better off using an oral surgeon. Beacon OMS seems like an outstanding group of professionals and Dr Rehrer gets my highest recommendation.

At no point prior to or during the consultation was he informed that they were out of network with Delta Dental, one of the largest dental insurance providers. It wasn't until the end of the appointment that he was presented with a $600 bill for the consultation and informed that the procedure would require over $2,600 out of pocket. Having worked in the dental field for over 10 years, I was very surprised and disappointed that the out-of-network status and expected out-of-pocket costs were not clearly explained in advance. Financial transparency is extremely important, especially for a college student working part-time and paying for his own care. Patients should be given the opportunity to fully understand their insurance coverage and financial responsibility before services are rendered. I contacted the office and requested a call back from the doctor/owner to discuss whether this may be a training or communication issue that could be improved to prevent similar situations for other patients. Unfortunately, it has now been two weeks, and I am still waiting for that call. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously and improves its communication and billing transparency for future patients.

I was lucky enough to connect with Dr. Rapisarda during that emergency and he got me in quickly to fix my tooth. He is so good with Novocaine and how he administers it, painless. Recently I experienced a crown that was leaking. I feared what a painful, difficult, mess that would be from past dental work. But, SURPRISE....another painless, easy, beautiful replacement! BEWARE WORST DENTAL CLINIC WASHINGTON STATE…read more I visited Vancouver Dental on SE 164th Ave specifically for a dental cleaning, as advertised. However, after arriving, they only did a quick check-up and told me that I'd need to schedule the actual cleaning for a later date. This was not what was initially promised or what I expected from their advertisement. To make matters worse, when I requested my records to get a second opinion at another dentist, they refused to provide them. This whole experience felt misleading and inconvenient. I'd advise others to be cautious and consider other options. Formal Complaint Filed Washington State Dept. Health To Whom It May Concern, Vancouver Dental, located at 918 SE 164th Avenue, Suite 200, Vancouver, WA 98683. The office advertises dental cleanings but, in my experience, did not provide the service as advertised. I scheduled an appointment specifically for a cleaning, but they only performed a basic check-up and informed me that they do not actually do cleanings, despite what was promoted. After this, I requested my dental records so that I could seek a second opinion from another dentist. Unfortunately, Vancouver Dental has refused to release my records, which I understand is a right I have as a patient. This refusal is both concerning and inconvenient, and I believe it's important to address this issue to ensure that other patients are not misled in the future. I do not feel cared for and regret coming here for something that is so important to me. After having dental surgery I was told I would be followed up with the next day. I immediately noticed mistakes were made during my surgery that would require me to come back into the office. The work felt sloppy and rushed and mix of dissolvable and non-disolvable sutures were used in my gums. Many things regarding my post care were not communicated and they failed to submit a prescription for post surgery mouthwash which they told me I would need to use. It took 3 weeks of calling into the office and being told I would be contacted back before I eventually was contacted. Even then both the staff and endontist pointed the finger at each other to pass the blame. I'm exhausted and disappointed and now face another dentist visit and more frustrations. I'm not willing to visit their office again. I understand that mistakes happen and people get busy, but failing to communicate with a patient for 3 weeks post surgery while I regularly checked in with your office is unacceptable. I would recommend finding another dental office where their endontist and office manager don't travel between offices.  I did not work with their regular dentists, I have nothing to say regarding the quality of their work.
