Funny how the places you pass a hundred times are the ones that finally surprise you…read more We'd driven by this spot more times than we can count and never stopped--until now. Glad we did. It's exactly what you want from a small-town diner when you're on the road: simple, satisfying, and unpretentious. The portions are just right--not oversized, not skimpy. Perfect when you're traveling and don't want to feel weighed down. Prices feel fair for what you get, which is increasingly rare. I ordered the chicken fried steak with fries, toast, cream gravy, and a small side salad. My wife went with a grilled cheese off the kids' menu. Nothing fancy--but that's the point. The food was solid, comforting, and hit the spot. Is this five-star, big-city dining? No. But it's not trying to be. It's a dependable, well-executed stop that delivers exactly what you need in the moment. And sometimes, that's better than five stars.

The food is alright, nothing special. My wife's order was wrong but oh well. The place itself is cool located off the runway at the airport. This place is just ok. It would also be nice to have white staff that didn't whisper to you and could crack a smile.

I was particularly impressed with the kitchen cleanliness, as I stared behind the counter it was impressive. The grill, the fryer, the cook, stove, and the floor again, all very clean. Our food was delicious. It arrived quickly and exceeded our expectation. Chelsea did an exceptional job of taking care of us, she was attentive and friendly, which made our time there even more enjoyable. I personally enjoyed hearing laughter coming from the kitchen area, the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy being together and at work.... it was odd to see a child brought in through the drive of window, he spent a few minutes saying hi to everyone and then back through the drive up window to be driven away. It was just weird not wrong or unsanitary ..I guess it kind of added to the casual Family atmosphere.

When I proclaimed my love for their rice they even offered an extra helping. You can't beat that!! BAD Discrimination simply for an innocent complaint for a wrong order given to me…read more I ordered 2 orders of chilaquiles Mexicano. Got Eggs, beans, Rice for both. They had the order right on their end. I was thinking maybe I messed up- but no. They told me it would be comped. Weeks later- No compensation. Nothing. I paid $30 for something I could put on warmer for 5min. 4 eggs. Beans. Rice. $30. After being treated & costs for what I never ordered- They also- expected ME to drive 40 minutes from my job site to replace the order and PAY on top of it. Couldn't it be a free order some other day?? NO STARS. When I complained- I said 'aguachiles' (we all say the wrong thing sometimes) instead of chilaquiles. And the Family Del Sol said, 'Think you have the wrong place. We don't have that.' Giggled And hung up on me AGAIN. I strongly discourage any business like this. I never had a problem before. But maybe FIX - YOUR mistake?? 'No we're offering 10% off your next order...that's all we can do.' No it's not! It's eggs, beans, rice.. If that return is worth more to you than a good customer- I wonder on your sanity already. Not even common sense!! I've been in customer service & food over half my life. Ridiculous. And to be MORe than RUDE on top of it- when I had been nothing but polite. I even speak basic Spanish. I feel sorry for those that don't and go here. This family clearly has no idea how to run a business or treat people. But they continue to because it's a monopoly here- where else do you go? You want to be discriminated against- & laughed at behind your back- go here. I've heard 4 other terrible stories from people who live here. Just bringing up 'customer service in this town'... I don't even live here but have been for a long time working. These people are extremely rude & I can tell you- don't deserve business until changes in attitude are made. Yes it is definitely possible to be bitter against your own customers but I don't recommend it at all. Ironically- Don't bite the hand that feeds you..
