A bike shop I patronized for 20 plus years told me my bike was now too old to be repaired. Claimed they could not even get parts. I'm very attached to that bike which I've owned for almost 30 years, so I took it to Bicycle Clinic and was told "no problem, we'll make it like new!) Three days later I picked up a perfect bike with new parts, cleaned, smooth and running like butter! Thank you Bicycle Clinic! I'll never go anywhere else! read more

We feel hugely blessed to have found this place (special thank you to all the previous reviewers!). The owner Alex is as knowledgeable and nice as can be. We had looked all around Jax for a replacement cruiser for my daughter after hers was hit by a car. We found the best prices and a lifetime guarantee on the one we bought here. He even helped install a new bike rack I brought so we could get the bike home. We couldn't be happier! read more

There's a reason why he has so many 5 star reviews. The owner of the shop is extremely honest, knowledgeable. He also has the best prices in Jacksonville! Highly recommend! read more

I bought a Groupon Voucher, which was good for a bike tune-up, a free bike wash using their Cintas Safewasher, along with a free bike helmet. What a deal right? I'd say so..   I met Alex, not sure if he is the owner or just one of the main mechanics, but just hearing him talk about bikes, I could sense right away he really knows his stuff. He even gave me pointers on which products and oils to use on my bike in the future. This shop off of Old St Augustine has been opened for 4 months now, per Alex.   Great, quality work. Work was performed and done on time, as Alex said it would. Alex even added more oil to the bike's shifters. My bike rides like new. It shifts much better now.   Alex is an expert in bicycle maintenance and repair. Because of this, his shop is definitely now my go-to shop now for any bicycle maintenance and repair going forward. read more

This is the place to buy your new bike or eBike! Huge thanks to Alex for being so knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and accomodating. We couldn't be happier with our son's new eBike (highly recommend the Aima - and Alex is one of the only dealers around!). He even built it and kept it in the shop until right before Christmas. Highly recommend!! read more

I took my bike here for a tube replacement. The owner, Alex, was very helpful. When I dropped off my bike, he informed me that it will be done in 1 1/2 hours. I already had plans so no issues picking it up the next day, Sunday. The associate I spoke to when I picked up my bike was helpful too. Knowledgeable and nice. I will definitely be back here for my biking needs. Great staff! The quality of work and service are superb. For a limited time, you can get deals such as an all-day beach-cruiser rental or bike tune-up through Groupon. read more

William was very helpful. Reconditioned and fixed my brakes. Great service and hospitable. Will recommend and return in future.

My wife and I have only been in Jacksonville for 6 months but we have been to the Bicycle Clinic 4 or 5 times. It is a fantastic shop and they are always extremely helpful. We purchased 2 bikes that we both really love and I popped my front tire the other day. William had me headed back home in less than 30 minutes...including FREE bike tune-up and cleaning! Top-notch business! read more

I had called another bike shop much closer to me to get an estimate and appointment for assembly. Not only was the cost about $20 more than advertised, no one ever called me to schedule. I called Alex this morning, he quoted a cheaper price, and told me to bring my bike in. He had it assembled in less than two hours! It was totally worth driving from the Southside--my bike rides great :) read more

Was able to come sooner than expected. Handled the issue quickly and with great care. Will always use them!

My father and I have been coming here for a long time now and they never fail to provide the best service, advice, and customer service. They always go above and beyond on what they are suppose to do and I can honestly say I would recommend this to EVERYONE that's needs their bikes serviced! read more

The service was quick friendly and professional. I prefer Bicycle Clinic to REI even though I'm a REI member.

I took my bike their for minor tune up. They did not even clean the chain before they put thick black grease on it. In addition, they either damaged my gear selector indicator or swapped it out for a damaged one. He falsely claimed that he did not touch it. If you have an expensive bike, do not trust it with this shop. They are not honest! read more

I had a pretty bad experience with the Bicycle Clinic. First, I stopped at the location at the beach twice and they weren't open either time even though their sign and website said so. So I sucked it up and drove across town to their other shop. We had purchased two Groupons for bike tuneups and I wanted a new pair of handlebar extensions, I thought it would be as simple as going to their store and picking some out, right? Well, I walked in and the employee there didn't understand what I was looking for. After 10 minutes of back and forth it finally clicked and he said they don't carry them but I can order from the catalog which he held out. I reached for it and he ripped it away and said that no, they would order them for me. Huh? I told him that no, I would like to pick them out and he said no, no, they will order them and let me know how much they cost. At this point the whole thing felt weird so I left, as I was getting in my car I saw another customer on his way into the store and from what I saw he got much better service. At this point we still had the 2 Groupons so I decided I wasn't going to give up. I called to schedule the appointment - I tried both numbers listed and left messages at both. No response. I called again and someone told me I had to send an email. So I sent an email. No response. So I called back and he told me he didn't get the email, but then he magically found it while talking to me. He said he would call back to schedule our bike pickup. No response. So I called back and finally scheduled an appointment. In the meantime, I went to a local store and found the handlebar extensions that I was looking for. They came to pick up the bikes and told us they should replace the brake lines at $5 each. I also gave them the extensions to put on the bike. When our bikes were returned, the employee informed me that the extensions I ordered did not fit my bike but they got some for me and put them on. WHAT??? Why didn't anyone contact me for approval??? I hate the extensions that were put on - they are nothing like what I wanted. Also, when they dropped the bikes off they told us that yes, the brake lines are $5 each, but there are 4 lines per bike. Why weren't we told that up front???? Not that it would have changed my decision to replace them but we should have been told upfront what to expect the total cost to be. So now I'm stuck with a bike with crappy handlebars. I know that I should call and complain and have them fix it but I just got a weird vibe from the whole operation and quite frankly I don't have the time I'm sure it will take to get this fixed. It will be easier to find a different shop and pay them to fix the mistake. All in all, I had a pretty bad experience with this company and wouldn't recommend them. I know, my fault for trying to save money with a Groupon!! read more

Every time I take my bike to there shop some old guy is working and they take forever just to do a small simple repair, like changing out a tire tube it always takes 24 hours or more...Bad experience read more

We were in the market for a new bicycle so we visited this shop among others. We immediately came back here after our due diligence visits to other shops. The owner, Alex, is very knowledgeable and absolutely wants you to walk away with a bike that meets your needs. He will work with you to customize it not only because he is a terrific small business owner but because he has a passion for biking. We ended up with a great deal and a bike that is customized our physical needs. We have also taken our other bike there for a tune up. His turn around on both bikes was within 24 hours so it's a great deal. We would highly recommend this terrific shop no matter what your level of biking may be. read more

Took my bike here on Friday, and it needed new fenders as well as a check-up. The owner got everything knocked out and had the bike ready to roll by Tuesday at a reasonable price. No complaints at all. read more

Alex is the BEST. I wouldn't trust anyone else. They also offer delivery and pickup which is very convenient.

I bought a bicycle here last month. The owner was very accommodating and patient. I love the free delivery they provide if you live within a certain distance. I live near downtown; I purchased the bicycle at 2:30 and had it on my driveway at 4:00. This is a plus if you have a small car and have no bicycle rack. They also will arrange pick up for bike service. I have not used that yet, but look forward to it in the future. If that works out well as I think it should, then this business gets 5 stars from me. read more

Great customer service. My bicycle was fixed professionally in timely manner. The owner explain me everything about bike maintenance. The price is very reasonable. I will be back for my next bicycle service. read more

Don't take your bike there for service. I question the actual services rendered and parts that were replaced. Without getting into the specifics I ended up with these thoughts about my experience there. He has no real selection of quality parts on hand so he retro fits crap to your bike that you don't need and is not appropriate. It's definitely a low to mid range beach cruiser sales shop but without question not a place for honest and quality bike service. read more

Alex is the best bycycle mechanic in town ! He repaired my son s bike in no time, works like a charm and very reasonable. Highly recommend

First Class Experience! The perception of bicycle shops is that they are cost prohibitive if you're just a casual rider (at least for me). I was able to get the exact type of bike for me at a very reasonable price. The thing that impressed me the most is their ability to completely customize the bike to meet the rider's specific needs. I love my new bicycle! Brought my wife's bike in for a tune-up (not a bike we purchased from this retailer) and feel so much more confident that she will be safer, because of it. Alex (owner) is extremely friendly and accommodating. Will be a loyal customer for years to come. read more
