Duk Bokki (Rice cakes, carrots and onions sautéed in spicy Korean hot sauce)

SoSoBap Not fantastic. Not bad. I'll go back, but I won't rush. The bibimbap was missing flavor, missing freshness. The vegetables used were never the best, even the dried and rehydrated ones. The fresh ones seemed depressed to me. I wanted them to cheer up. I was happy to have found the place, happy to have a traditional bibim in a sizzling pot. Even one of my servers seemed a little happy. My appetizer also created some manic feelings for me. I was excited about the heat-- excellent spiciness. The onions were sautéed in a way I wish so many chefs everywhere could learn. Beautifully intact and flavorful, daring me to have more and more! I did!! After that roller coaster of outer goodness I dove in for the exciting yummy insides. The rice cake/ fish cake/ carrot ... Wha???? Ok now I'm sad again. I don't know what this is supposed to taste like but it tastes like dough. Not even good dough. Blechh. I'm not eating anymore. But wait. The sauce. The onions. One more bite. Blechh. Ok. Just one more... And so on........ Folks, just make a smoothie -- I'll drink this app. I spent my time at the restaurant watching a tabletop full of used empty plates that hadn't been cleared while the staff did other things. It was at a table right in front of the door so impossible for anyone to miss. It helped set the sad, yet somewhat manic (CLEAR IT DAMMIT!!) tone for my short dining experience. Unfortunately the high point for me was only a part of an appetizer. I will try again and hope to update with some less med-worthy information. In the meantime I'm craving onions for some reason. Mmmmmmm

Deep fried beef mandu with soy sauce. Nothing special.

Came here today for lunch with my mom. I wish they left the door open because it was very stuffy inside the restaurant and my mom (who's not asthmatic) felt a bit uncomfortable but didn't want to say anything because it could've been just this visit. She ordered the #6 bibimbap (Korean BBQ), I had the Spicy Tofu Soup (asked for it extra spicy), and an order of deep friend beef mandu. We were served tea and water. The mandu came out first but was nothing special. Just regular frozen dumplings that were deep fried. It was accompanied with soy sauce which was a little disappointing because a house sauce or black/red vinegar would've been a lot better. My mom's order came with a little bowl of soup, pickled cabbage, and kimchi. She was disappointed that there was no sauce with/on her bibimbap (I don't eat bibimbap so I have no idea if there is supposed to be one or not). I asked the waitress if she had any sauce for it and she gave us a bottle of soy sauce and sesame sauce. My mom tended up mixing the sesame sauce and the hot sauce on the table into her meal. She enjoyed her pickled cabbage and kimchi. My Spicy Tofu Soup came and it looked decent. It came with a small bowl of white rice, pickled cabbage, and kimchi. The egg was already mixed in and cooked in my soup (I prefer doing it myself but oh well). It wasn't very spicy and the flavour was okay. I was disappointed with attention to water and tea. Aside from giving us our drinks at the start of our meal and asking us if everything was okay when she gave us our meal, the waitress never came back to check on our food or our drinks. Our total came to a little over $33 after tax which is a little steep considering what we ordered and the quality (in our opinions). Both my mom and I thought the food was okay and probably won't be coming back. Seoul across the street have better lunch deals for the prices.

Menu for some of the best Korean meals at in town!

Best Korean food in town! Cannot beat the flavour of the kimchi from this restaurant! Love the vegetarian Pancake and all the Bibimbap!!

I always enjoy coming here with my friends and family to eat. The food is always piping hot and tastes fresh. The waitress is very nice as well. The place is a bit small though so I would recommend coming here by yourself or with two other friends maximum. The stone pot bibimbap takes a while to serve, but the wait is definitely worth it.

Food is beautifully presented. The colours are awesome and everything is super fresh. Could have been warmer but it tasted very good and service was great as well.

    A great Bibimbap

The place is simple, food served on a plastic tray (cafeteria type). Not many choices; but they serve what they advertise: Bibimbap (and some other Korean items) -- but you want to go there for the real thing, don't you? Well, I had the "classic" Bibimbap in a stone bowl and it was simply amazing. The best ever had. As a bonus, the tea is great. I would recommend the place to anyone. Friendly service by the multitasking lady (also cook). A rare find in Windsor

The food was very fresh, I could've easily ate 100 dumplings. The server was so sweet , the prices were reasonable. Overall enjoyed the experience, something quick and healthy!

Spicy pork Bibimbap in a stone bowl, it's so good and the Banchan are great as a side. An excellent and filling dish.

Definitely gets five stars, service is great, and it is not fast food but worth the wait. Food has consistently been amazing, everything is fresh and made to order.

Food is delicious and cheap. Love coming here though I do have some qualms. The tea is served in a glass without a handle so if you try to touch it right away you'll burn your fingers. Also it'd be better if the servers would come to the table more often to refill your water. But the actual food is amazing. Bibim is perfect, especially in the stone bowl, and beautifully presented.

The food is tasty and flavourful and comes out pretty quick. There is not very much quantity for the price, though.

This time we got the bibimbap, black goat soup, and a bone soup. We also got Jap Che for appetizer. Everything was satisfactory. Both the soups were piping hot. The goat had a unique taste that was not too strong surprisingly. The banchan was also pretty good, the best of which included bean sprout, cucumber, squash, and seaweed. We got barley tea, which was complimentary. The service was below average. It was busy but our server never came back once to check on us. She also had a lousy attitude in terms of simple questions I asked about the menu and seemed annoyed. Ambiance was warm on a cold day and pretty packed with many customers ordering Korean barbecue.

We had fried Mandu for an appetizer- they were delicious and crispy. We picked Combination A- which had bulgogi, marinated short ribs, chicken, and shrimp. All the meat turned out so good and tender. We also got the steamed egg- would definitely recommend this as well. All the Banchan that came with the combination meal were delicious. And comes with purple rice- we got one extra bowl so we'd each have one as the combination plate comes with 2. This was a good amount of food for me, my husband, and child. My 4 year old was a big fan of the food too- and they gave her a cute pink plate to use so she loved that. Also tried the Bokbunja, Korean raspberry wine, and it was good! Moderately sweet berry flavor, more of a dessert-y wine, it was fun to try!
