Just had our first visit tonight at 6pm with dear friend .Ordered Pomegranate chicken stew (Fesenjoon comes with white basmati rice ), ground red meat kabab (2koobideh) also comes with Basmati white rice, and Salad (Shirazi salad) ($59). Large portion, enough to save 1 extra meal for my friend lunch tomorrow. Pleasant, casual (paper plates), clean (including restroom). Finally ordered 2 saffron rose water rice pudding for dessert (sholeh zard) to take home ($20). Mrs. Bibi was professional, welcoming and wonderful chef. My husband and I stumbled into this out of the way Kirkland restaurant and now it is our absolute family favorite. When our kids come into town they insist we come to BiBi. Covid being what it is, I'm really hesitant about trying places I haven't been. That being said, I have no regrets about getting takeout from Bibi's. The space is clean and they're practicing good healthy hygiene and social distancing. But best of all is the food. 10/10. The falafel platter--I'm not kidding when I say the falafel was the best I've ever had. I think they saturate it with tzaziki sauce. My partner had the chicken kabob platter and said it was amazing. Of the items we tried, I would highly recommend the Chicken Kabobs and the falafel plate. Everything was spiced to perfection, and all the flavors blended very well together. Maybe just ok for a one time try. The so called "buffet" offers only 2 or maybe 3 types of main dishes. The buffet is barely kept warm. They put a lot of effort into making delicious dishes, but don't do a good job in maintaining the food fresh and warm enough to be served. The chicken kabab was disappointingly at room temperature. I don't think you'd need a lot of experience to know how to maintain freshness using a warmer. Least favorite part is that they charge $18 per person for an extremely poor service and food quality. read more

We enjoyed Chicken, Beef and Veggie Kabobs, housemade yogurt, roasted cauliflower, marinated olives, beet salad, Shirazi salad, saffron rice pudding and more... it was fantastic. Everything was seasoned beautifully and the meat was cooked exactly as ordered (the chicken was incredibly moist, too). I highly recommend BiBi! The food is, across the menu, over-the-top delicious. From the roasted Cauliflower, to the spicey shrimp, a variety of vegie dishes, and fabulous sauces, chicken, OLIVES extraordinaire! Most meaningfully to me was that, due to technological error on my part, I thought my order for take-out for 25 people was confirmed in the morning for 6 pm. in fact, i hadn't confirmed, yet at 5:30 pm, Bibi got my order ready by 6:45. She was so understanding and accomodating, and chose the perfect menu for our theater cast closing party. Everyone was delighted with the feast! Very generous, very reasonable. If I could, I would give this place 0 stars. I grew up with Persian food, so I know what good Persian food is supposed to taste like. The food I had at Bibi's was the worst Persian food I ever tasted. The koobideh kebob was so tough that it was almost uneatable. The loobiah polo was featured with tadigh, but we never got any. The asheh reshteh didn't have sauteed onions on top like we had requested. When I called to tell them about our not so very pleasant first experience, the lady I spoke with, whom I believe to be the owner, was extremely rude and arrogant. She told me that I shouldn't expect to get what was shown on the pictures of their website. Also, if I didn't like the kebob, I should go some where else next time. We spent $130 on a meal for 2 at this deli. The prices are way too high, the food is terrible and customer service is as bad as it can get. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like you would the plague. read more

I went to the new dinner service and loved it! They have an excellent variety of appetizers that you can mix and match 3 for $20. The portion sizes are generous and the flavors are rich and fresh. I ordered the Bibi ganoush, the yogurt with cucumber (pleasantly tangy and refreshing), and the dolme and they were all delicious! I can not express how amazing this was. We had them cater our welcome party for our wedding and many of the people attending were Persian. We fed about 70 people for what I consider very reasonable amount. They all commented that it was one of the best Persian food they had and that it was very authentic. Everyone loved the food so much. We had a lot left over because the portions were very large. They came to our venue in Redmond and set everything up so beautifully. They came at the end of the night and packed it all up too. I honestly cannot express in words how delicious it was and how much everyone loved the food. Even non adventurous eaters loved it! I'm hopeful BiBi will stay in our neighborhood because I appreciate good Persian and Mediterranean food with my family. The staff is genuinely caring and kind. I like straightforward menus that delve into ethnic flavors. I like the clean space. The vibe of the restaurant is a labor of love vibe which definitely warms the cold recesses of my food critic heart. I so want this place to succeed. Now the transition. Salt. You know what the kale salad needed? Salt. You know what the babaganoush needed? Salt. You know what cauliflower needed? Salt. Couple ideas. Salt and toast the pumpkin seeds in the kale salad and balance the dressing as it was too tart. Personal preference is for curly kale as I avoid slimy kale like lacinato. Serve the babaganoush with pita bread or cucumber slices. We simply asked for the pita bread afterward. so crisis avoided. Cauliflower could have been broiled a little longer as some was undercooked. Additionally, if you toss the seasonings in a bowl before or after you broil the cauliflower you will obtain a more consistent bite. Falafel. My wife's test for a Mediterranean restaurant is falafel. Her's was overcooked. I noticed it from across the table. Not a dish I enjoy. I had the beef kabab. Meat was tender but without char. You know what the beef needed? Salt. By now you know, I believe salt can revive most culinary fails. The tahdig, the rice crust of the rice on the kabob dish, lacked flavor. The waiter and kitchen were kind and apologetic, generous with complementary olives, beets and salad when our food was delayed. I liked the spacious clean space. The drinks were reasonably priced. I'm hopeful this was an off night for BiBi. We will come again because the warmth of the staff and generosity of the kitchen assured me of the effort being put into making BiBi a success. This was my first time here and its probably one of the best Persian restaurants IMO. Sholeh zard was amazing not too sweet, exactly how I like it to be. Gheimeh bademjoon was awesome. Chicken kabob was really tasty. Lentil rice was exactly like my moms lentil rice with raisin and dates. Everything was perfect. The warmth of this place and the hospitality of its owner are worth noting. She always has a variety of the most delicious salads and appetizers, another of vegetarian and no vegetarian entrees that are simply delicious. You have not had rice until you've tried the most amazing crunchy saffron rice she prepares. It is not burnt, like I read in some review, but is cooked with the intention of a crisp! You can finish your meal with some sweet saffron rice dessert or baklava with some hot Persian tea. All in all so yummy! read more
