I honestly recommend this company for your project. Everyone from project management to the workers were/are fantastic. The final product is true to their word. Jack was amazing to work with. David was always courteous and would hear any ideas and thoughts. And their foreman Cuba is extremely knowledgeable and always had the right results. Thank you Jack and crew for helping our home be that much more comfortable and enjoyable. read more

We are very happy with our entire experience working with Bibi construction. We had an area of concrete removed from backyard, replaced with turf, then we had a small wall removed, an area of dirt leveled with placement of large stepping stones to a specific design (to fit outdoor tub), and added lava rock throughout. David was our project manager, and all communication was fast and reliable. The quote was very transparent and seemed fair for the work that was done. No hidden/surprise costs. The owner of company even called to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Fast and nice workers as well. Absolutely happy with the work and will use them for future jobs. read more

Another nightmare update with the workmanship of Bibi Construction. My new pool contractor who I hired to finish my pool project discovered a MAJOR error this morning with the pavers Bibi Construction installed around my pool. I mentioned in my last post that Cuba and his crew had NO IDEA how to properly install coping around a swimming pool. Well, today I discovered they also had NO IDEA how to install pavers with a proper base and drainage around a pool either! The new pool company discovered that the pavers were an inch lower than where the coping should be. They removed some of the pavers and discovered that Bibi Construction did not put a proper "base" under the pavers, in fact there was NO "base" just dirt with some sand on top. When a worker stepped in the area his foot sunk down almost 2 inches so it was not even compacted properly! In my further research about a proper base, I discovered that dirt should never be used as a base for pavers because it doesn't drain well and can shift, sink, and swell depending on the weather, especially around areas that will get wet often (i.e. a swimming pool). I have already discovered the "sinking" part! Bibi Construction is a shoddy company that likes to cut corners with the job because it is easier for them, cost them less money, and may initially be cheaper for the customer. Well, in the long run for the customer, it never pays to cut corners as I am sorely discovering. Again, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of hiring an actual "pool contractor" to build or remodel your pool, one with a "C-53" license, NOT a "B" license. Those "B" contractors, like Bibi Construction, just do not have the expertise needed in such a detailed and costly project. read more

We contracted BIBI Construction to build a 30'x15' pool and firepit in late October 2021. Jack and Moses came to meet with us and were very clear about pricing and phases of the job. We decided on BIBI because they were very up-front with pricing and were responsive while other contractors were not responsive or weren't transparent with pricing. The job was completed in early May on-budget and just in time for the summer. We're really happy with the end-result. It looks beautiful and our family has been enjoying it a ton. What went well: * Contract - Jack laid out the phases and payment schedule in detail. * No Upselling - There was never any attempt to add more scope from the contractor's side. With the exception of additional landscaping/hardscaping we added, the scope and price of the job was exactly as initially agreed on. * Fair - Jack and Moses are good people and always willing to do the right thing or meet half-way in any misunderstanding. * Honest - They were fair and willing to correct mistakes. What could have gone better: * Design Phase - we had expectations that the output of the design phase would be a plan with detailed measurements of steps, slopes, walls, etc., but I ended up having to draw those myself for them to follow. * Permit Phase - the city asked for a drain from the pool/equipment out to the sanitation line. Moses had hoped the inspector would not bring it up again - mostly because he was concerned of the scope increase of running a line out to the street; after a couple weeks I contacted the inspector myself and asked if they would approve running the line through the house clean-out - and they did. Jack quoted the work and we ended up agreeing on both parties absorbing half the cost. * Project management - it seems like almost after every milestone payment, the progress would slow and I would have to call and ask for the work to continue. Sometimes they would have subcontractors who weren't experts at a particular task which resulted in corrections and rework, which they did do. * Communication - A lot of the communication was over text and I think it was difficult for them to keep track of things we had asked for in the finishing touches, especially when they manage multiple projects. Overall, we're very happy with our pool. Our backyard looks AMAZING and it's so much more enjoyable than before. We're looking forward to many pool parties with family and friends in the years to come. read more

Jack and Moses and their team are AMAZING! We did a full backyard remodel and added a pool, spa and fire pit. They were on it and were able to answer any questions and take calls/stop by anytime we needed to discuss things further. They made this process incredibly easy. They listened to what we wanted and were able to make it happen with our budget. We are glad that we went with Bibi Construction and will most definitely recommend their services. I thought I would be overwhelmed with the entire process, but they were clear in each step and fielded all my questions. Payments were so easy to follow as well. They gave us the best bid for the amount of work we wanted done. Everything turned out wonderful and we have received so many compliments. We plan to do future work and plan to go with them again. read more

Our backyard was left horrible by the prior owner. Overgrown plants, random bins of Christmas items, and dead grass everywhere. Jack came to see us and immediately gave off a very pleasant and transparent personality. He was kind and gave his expert opinion on what would make our backyard beautiful. The price is reasonable for the quality of work you are getting and now we have a beautiful backyard. Jack makes sure you are well taken care of and if you need additional time for anything he is more than willing to offer that. Overall loved the service he provided and the quality of the work when it was finished. He takes care of everything and we are so glad he helped us redo our backyard and make our new house feel more like a home. Thank you Jack! You will be hearing from us again down the line for more work :) read more

I emailed to inquire about setting up a consultation. I sent photos, etc. I told them me and my friend the owner were working Monday-Friday. They keep sending meeting invites during the week. I called as was on the phone for over 15 mins. First they couldn't see the messages then they found them. We set an appt for today, we called to confirm 30 mins before and they didn't have it in the calendar. When I message them again she said she left me a message saying she would have to cancel since it's with the landlord and not me. There is no landlord it is my friends house he owns it and lives in it. They have an overly complicated confusing and rude tone. I would like to add that they weren't very friendly to either of us. We will be taking our business elsewhere. You confirmed the appt on the phones my friend is the homeowner and the work is for him! You don't know what you are talking about and you didn't on the phone either. read more

I started the journey of building a pool last year, and Bibi stepped in and came up with a great design. We have a small space but Bibi found a way to maximize every single inch. Now this summer we have a beautiful pool and deck which the whole family loves and they came in as one of the lower bidders and got the job done in a timely manner. Lev, Sam and Nathaniel were in charge of the pool and their communication was top notch. I would highly reccommend them. read more

He came out to give me an estimate on my home. Absolutely rude, and didn't seem inspired or interested in the project. He kept asking me what I paid for the home. "What price did you pay?" Its Hollywood hills nice view, how much did you pay? I'm sorry but that's none of your business!!!! A hard no from me. Over priced, and honestly bad vibes all around. His bid was $200,000 over other contractors!!!!! read more

I received a flyer at my home for contractors and have recently been interested in artificial turf. In the brochure Bibi Construction was advertising turf so I contacted them and was then contacted by Jack who works for the company, very friendly and professional. Jack came to my house and gave me a quote and my main concerns was material and warranty. Jack assured me that he uses the highest quality of turf and a 15 year warranty and provided samples for my wife and I to choose. Yes, very good quality and after the paperwork was completed, we scheduled a date for the installation. The team was right on time and also very professional and did a fantastic job, very nice and clean and completed the job in one day. I watched to make sure it was done right and their pre-work before laying out the turf was great. I have large rocks and concrete edging so it was not your typical square but very curvy and I could not believe the care and details once it was installed, unbelievable that they could cut around the rocks and curbing, remarkable. Once they were done, they did a great job cleaning up and were very accommodating and again, very professional. During the installation, I was in contact with Jack and each of us provided updates to each other which I appreciated very much. To say the least, a top notch company, great work and professionalism and I would definitely recommend them for any job, big or little and will definitely use them again for any projects around my home. You will not be disappointed!!!! read more

I hired Bibi Construction for my pool, pavers fire pit and eventually for my adu conversion. I am so grateful that I did. All of our inspections with the city ran smoothly. They even helped me get a previous build patio cover permitted. After seeing the beautiful work of my backyard I decided to release my original contractor for my garage conversion and hire Bibi. Within a few months my studio was built, permitted and came out better than I imagine. read more

My Woodland Hills home, south of Ventura Blvd, needed a complete rehab, floor to ceiling. Inside and out, needing all new plumbing, electrical, AC, furnace, kitchen, appliances, baths, vanities and fixtures, flooring, inside and outside painting and new backyard patio pavers and grass. Bibi managed it all. They were at the property everyday and very hands on. The owner, Avi, and Project Manager, Jack, genuinely cared about the project and doing things the right way. If something wasn't done to their high standards, they would redo it, until their high standard was met. Bibi Construction takes pride in their work and stand behind it. You can't buy caring and they care. Bibi Construction did this large project at a competitive price it and came on budget! Plus, they were a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them highly. read more

After meeting with jack, we felt that he was the right person we could trust to do the job, we wanted a 16x34 pool plus a 15x10 Baja plus 10x10 jacuzzi, a retaining wall around the pool , a 12x10 bbq area with a wall for the tv, pavors in the backyard and front yard, yes this was a big project. They needed to demo my previous concrete, remove lots of dirt. At the beginning we had a few hiccups with one of his contractor, but I spoke to jack and brought in a new crew to speed up the process, I liked that jack was always there to listen if I had any concerns or questions. If anyone says a project this big doesn't have issues they are lying. But the end project came out better then we expected, the crew was great. Jack made it all come out the way we expected. I hired Bibi construction from an advertisement and was extremely pleased! Jack responded immediately and gave me a quote for redoing a patio (replacing concrete with pavers) and replacing a fence. Not only was the quality of the work superior, the communication by this company is top notch. Project was completed prior to anticipated date on both occasions that I had hired Bibi. The crew who completed job were extremely hard working and very respectful of me and my property. I truly appreciate the integrity of this company and plan to engage their services again for future projects. You will not be disappointed- hire this company! read more

do not use! if you do make sure you stand your ground when it comes to your contract! jack and Cuba tried to get me to pay more for a drain in the concrete for 750$ more when I already paying 6,600$ cuba very distrespectful! jack.. not honest when it comes to his contracts . first Cuba said the drain was optional then oh it's needed . jack said ok it's needed .. I'll do 500$ I said no it's in our contract of the amount to pay! so finally after from 8:30am-10am he agreed to just do it. I told him I'm not paying more I want my deposit back and no job. I can't believe this. also Cuba on day two of coming to pour the concrete he didn't even tell me he was here and went through the side gate and started working iv had a lot of work done to my house and always had the contractors come say Goodmorning and let me know there going to start heading into the yard . do not use them. read more

Words cannot describe the service, commitment and care that Jack, our project manager, Avram and Bibi Construction put into our pool project. As with all construction projects, there may be expected and unexpected issues that arise; our project was no exception. But the major difference is whether you have a highly trusted and capable project manager to ensure a superior outcome. I can honestly state that Jack not only has the highest level of character and skill as a project manager, but more importantly, as a human being. Unfortunately, that is a compliment I am rarely able to give but in this case one that is highly deserved. There are too many examples to share where Jack and Avram went well above and beyond of what is expected to guide us to the finish line. Thank you, Jack and Avram for building our dream pool! read more

We hired Bibi for a recent remodel and update of my mother's apartment. From the signing of the contract to the daily interactions, Jack was very attentive and straight forward. He spells every detail out in the contract and follows through, above and beyond. He really goes above and beyond to finish on time and has his team of people that can make it happen. If there is ever any questions or concern it is always easy to get ahold of him. Even when we decided on some additional changes during the remodel, Jack was able to adjust and accommodate as needed kindly and quickly. His workers are incredibly kind and sweet and the quality of work is beautiful. We redid the floors, windows, full 2 bath remodel, full kitchen remodel, new paint. Everything came out beautiful. We plan to use Bibi again for our home remodel, as well as an ADU build. Jack and Bibi construction have proven that they are reliable, trustworthy and punctual and I would definitely recommend going with them if you want someone straightforward about pricing, who isn't going to add sneaky costs on the back end! read more

I am a fair yelp reviewer and here is exactly what happened. They came out for 2nd estimate (I never met them the first time) and we were genuinely going to use this company. Their 3D designer Lily was great . However I was extremely offended by Jack's wife. She spoke so nice to me at first (seemed genuinely nice) until minute we didn't sign immediately because of the checks they would want in next 3 days-remember we were just getting estimates-she said "You are wasting our time-and your time". Well the sad part was we were going to go with them UNTIL that point, even though their estimate was high, we just needed time to discuss it. Unfortunately her lack of business decorum lost Bibi Construction our business. Beware and don't be afraid to say NO. read more

I have just filed 2 complaints regarding this Sleazy company. 1st with the FTC, They have made incessant calls to my cell number for weeks. After I inform them that I am on the National Do Not Call list they continue their sales pitch. On the last call today, 05/04/2017, I was told that they don't care that I'm on the Do Not Call list and that they have lots of money to pay the fines. After hanging up they called back within a minute and laughed. 2nd filed complaint with CSLB. They are also not in compliance with their CSLB advertising. Bibi is ONLY a General Contractor "B" license. That does not qualify them to do any and all work. Check the qualification with CSLB website. read more
