How we I was told so many good things about Dr. Suhendra and i had to choose her. When we had our first appointment, she was so calming and reassuring and it was everything that we needed at that point as new parents. I just recently went to my 4mos appt with my baby, and as always her staff is very professional and courteous. She is always able to answer all of my questions with complete answers and with clarity. I have recommended friends to her and I will continue to recommend others that ask!

Can't comment on the pediatricians here but as most of the other negative reviews have stated,…read morefront office staff extremely rude and incompetent. Called to schedule an appointment for newborn. On the phone, they ask insurance type which I provided. Appointment scheduled over the phone and I receive a text stating that I need to submit a copy of the insurance which I do. Appointment confirmed via text. I arrived at the office and they asked if I was paying out of pocket. I said I provided it via text. They said, "we sent you a text stating that we don't accept that insurance." I'm looking at the text, no text ever sent. I said they did not. They also asked me over the phone what insurance my newborn had, and proceeded to schedule the appointment. If I was out-of-network, wouldn't you have told me then on the phone and not went ahead and scheduled the appointment. Being out-of-network seems rather important. Why would you send something like that over a text message? That seems like something warranting a call (especially considering you shouldn't have booked the appt initially). But front office doesn't do that because they're rude and lazy. As I'm walking out the door and looking at the text messages between the office and myself, the front office girl then back talks and says, "oh we definitely sent a text." Avoid the lazy, incompetent front office they have employed.

There's no experimentation is any of his treatments, he is to the point and will call you on what you shouldn't be doing. They always pick up the phone, and they are also quick to respond on the patient portal, Appointments are usually not difficult to come by (even if you might need one the same day). The entire team of nurses and staff are all personable and highly professional. They have several physicians, so it's best to read the doctors' bios and request the one who resonates best with you/your kiddo(s). We personally LOVE Dr. Hathaway. She is so sweet, friendly, and has a great rapport with our little one. She is straightforward but also empathic & relatable. She is attentive & always listens to us and explains things thoroughly. Pro-vaccine, but conservative & never pushy with medication. We never feel rushed, and we don't wait long to see her either. There is plenty of parking, the lobby is spacious, and the facility is very clean & well-maintained. We have absolutely no complaints and have always felt so well taken care of here. This office sets the bar high for amazing & reliable medical service.

She takes the time to clearly explain diagnoses and treatment options to parents. Dr. Hathaway genuinely cares about her patients as individuals. If you are looking for a pediatrician in The Woodlands who combines exceptional medical skills with true compassion, Dr. Hathaway at Hometown Pediatrics is an excellent choice. We feel fortunate to have found such an outstanding physician for our children.

I took my grandson in for what I thought would be a routine visit. The first thing I noticed about…read morethe Dr (PA?) was she was very young. She took the child's temperature & looked in his ears. As we were talking I mentioned that when I picked him up from his mother, he was unsteady on his feet (he's a toddler) and BOOM that simple phrases changed everything. Even though there was no bruising or other signs of a bone fracture or trauma or abuse she demanded that I immediately take him to the emergency wing for a skeletal XRay to check for fractures. I refused and left. She then notified CPS and a case worker appeared at my home. The case worker examined the child, determined no signs of fractures, bruising, abuse & the living conditions & food availability were not an issue. We thought that would be the end of things, but we were wrong The bluefish doctor had told CPS that a complete skeletal x-ray needed to be done to close the case. The problem is bluefish, never issued any orders for the x-rays Today when we called in to get the orders we are told that the Doctor is not on duty today and we will have to wait for another doctor to finish their rounds to take care of this. In the meantime, CPS is pressuring us as to why we haven't taken the child to get x-rays This is preposterous. We took a child in for a routine examiner examination because he was running a slight fever and vomiting. Apparent saying that the child appeared a little unsteady triggered some kind of institutionalized CPS response in the medical community. This is outrageous. CPS should never have been involved. As I write this, I am still waiting for bluefish to get back to me with orders for an x-ray or to call CPS and tell them that the x-rays are not necessary If you choose to take your child to this group, be careful what you say, it may trigger a call to CPS merely by conveying a valid concern.

Our pediatrician and his staff - not to mention the other physicians in the office - are phenomenal at what they do and I'm so glad I chose them to manage the medical care for my triplets. Our Dr. (Dr. LaCour) is attentive, supportive in my choices as a parent, speaks In a manner that anyone - whether knowledgable or not - can comprehend, is available when needed, and never has an issue with seeing my boys. I take pride in their care and the caliber of what is received (after all I AM paying for it), and I've yet to be let down. After 5 years of taking my children here, I'm about to go find a new primary care doctor for my…read morekids. Pros: Dr. Muehe is great, he's knowledgeable and really cares about my children and gives good advice. Cons: Basically everything else. 1. Availability. Every single time my kids actually get sick and need to see a doctor urgently, there's never any appointments available. We've gone to the urgent care 15+ times the past few years because this location is always overbooked and never willing to see me on short notice. They should really save some spots for kids who get sick to come in and see a doctor. 2. Waiting. When you do make a scheduled appointment for your kids (for an annual checkup, which is scheduled months in advance) you get there on time. You check in, and give them your name. And then you wait. And wait. And wait. I'd estimate that I spend 45-60 minutes waiting around their office when I go. It's really ridiculous. 3. We've had issues with their MyChart system. It's mostly right, but not totally right, so it's hard to trust it.

I have NEVER had a bad experience at Northwoods Pediatrics. My daughter is now 14, but has been going to them for years. They are always quick to schedule her appointments and it is never a hassle. I have never waited for more than 20-25 minutes after my appointment to see the Doctor, unlike other offices where an hour later, I am still waiting. The office is clean and well staffed. The office staff is friendly and helpful, I have never encountered anyone that was rude or unhelpful. The doctors and PA are phenomenal. My daughter always remarks how much she likes Dr. Islam. He is very professional and nice. Our last visit my daughter had a bad rash on her inner thigh (Eczema). She remarked how she is sometimes nervous with male doctors, but she felt more than comfortable with Dr. Islam. He is professional, explains just what he is going to do beforehand, and asked her permission to raise her shirt (checking for Scoliosis) and to check her inner thigh. He answered both of our questions thoroughly and spent time speaking with my daughter. He even took the time to answer my daughter's questions about the medical field (she wants to be a doctor). You never feel like you are being rushed or he needs to get to the next appointment. I appreciate that. The only downside to this office is that they are closed on Saturdays! I wish they weren't because sometimes it is hard to get to the office for an appointment during the week with having to juggle my daughter's school and then her after school activities. I have recommended this office to my family and friends, and now several of my family members use Northwoods now as well and love it just as much as I do. I will be sad to have to say goodbye to Northwoods, when my daughter turns 18!
