Finally found First Physicians and loved the place during our first visit. Dr. Beaty is amazing. He takes time in knowing his patients, you are not rushed neither are you to leave the facility feeling diminished. There's no experimentation is any of his treatments, he is to the point and will call you on what you shouldn't be doing. He gives his best and expects his patients to follow through, otherwise, what's the point in seeking his medical advise and consult if neither patients/parents heeds to his advise. He has an excellent sense of humour! We love visiting this place I recommend to this facility and the treating physicians in this practice. I will recommend

Our pediatrician and his staff - not to mention the other physicians in the office - are phenomenal at what they do and I'm so glad I chose them to manage the medical care for my triplets. Finding a doctor for one child is challenging, so imagine the struggle with three! Our Dr. (Dr. LaCour) is attentive, supportive in my choices as a parent, speaks In a manner that anyone - whether knowledgable or not - can comprehend, is available when needed, and never has an issue with seeing my boys. I take pride in their care and the caliber of what is received (after all I AM paying for it), and I've yet to be let down. Regardless of which physician you see within 2920 pediatrics (we've seen them all at some point during an on-call rotation), you WILL get quality care. Pros: Dr. Muehe is great, he's knowledgeable and really cares about my children and gives good advice. Cons: Basically everything else. 1. Availability. Every single time my kids actually get sick and need to see a doctor urgently, there's never any appointments available. We've gone to the urgent care 15+ times the past few years because this location is always overbooked and never willing to see me on short notice. They should really save some spots for kids who get sick to come in and see a doctor. 2. Waiting. When you do make a scheduled appointment for your kids (for an annual checkup, which is scheduled months in advance) you get there on time. You check in, and give them your name. And then you wait. And wait. And wait. I'd estimate that I spend 45-60 minutes waiting around their office when I go. It's really ridiculous. 3. We've had issues with their MyChart system. It's mostly right, but not totally right, so it's hard to trust it.

My son, who has asthma, had a severe flare-up a few months ago, and when I called the office for an emergency appointment, I was told there were no openings. As someone who works in the medical field, I know how critical it is to see patients in need or at least guide them to immediate care. Thankfully, another location saw him, but this was after a lot of stress. More recently, I called to ensure my son was all set before school started, and I was told he only needed a follow-up for his asthma. After his visit, I realized he needed an asthma action plan form signed by the doctor. When I called to get this done, I was told he needed a physical, even though he had just been seen two months ago. To make matters worse, scheduling a physical was difficult due to the timing. The final straw was the poor customer service I experienced when I went in. The front office staff was rude and unhelpful, even prioritizing a delivery person over me, a waiting patient. This lack of care and respect is unacceptable, and I'll be finding another provider for my son's care. It's disappointing that this office has lost the focus on patient care and service.

We went to several offices but the main one was cy fair on fm 1960. The office staff however is a different story. If you ever need to speak with someone other than making an appt good luck. When calling about referrals or questions for the nurse, expect al least some days turnaround time for them to get back to you. We had to change doctors for insurance reasons and had the new doctor sent over a request for their records. Months later they still have not received the records. When I made an appt with the new doctor and I had to re explain my children's history (it's a long history). I called pediatric healthcare of northwest Houston at least a dozen times leaving voicemails for call back. If I did speak to someone about the situation they would just transfer me to the voicemail. When the medical records lady finally did call me back she said "oh we sent the records already earlier this month." I was like ma'am they have received nothing from you and I need you to send those asap. She was like "oh, I do see it is a big chart. I'll try and resend them today but we did already." Idk if she's telling me the truth, maybe it could have been an error but this is 2016. I shouldn't take more than 24 hours to fax a document. You can do that from the computer. At this point I'm thinking about going up there just to get a copy because the new doctor might never receive it through fax. I know I'm not the only person who requests medical record for their children and I know there's plenty of other work these people have to do. However it shouldn't take months to respond to faxes and phone calls. It's the principal of the matter. I'm just saying.

Im in there countless of times a year because my child does not feel good! All the doctors make me feel like crazy liar! They never want to prescibe anything. Dr Lei even took it further and said I'd be hurting my baby by giving him antibiotics if there is no reason for them. How dare she think id ever want to do something to hurt him?! I am desperate and asking for help!! My baby has not been well for weeks. Dr Lei even said "well take him out of daycare".....Really lady....do you want to pay my salary and bills so that i can afford to raise my child at home? Ignorant stupid lady. (RUDE) she has a "no can do attitude.. " almost like she is looking for an argument. It is hard to get prescription refills in a timely manner and if your child is approaching the age of 18 - I would highly suggest moving away from the practice before they turn of age. Some nurses will talk to you as a parent and let you call in the refill and others like to make it difficult and abruptly say "we can't refill ! You will have to have your child call in" There really is no rhyme or reason to their protocol. Because this continues to happen, we are moving to a new doctor. Life is too short to deal with unpleasant nurses, that don't seem to enjoy their job. :)
