I made the mistake of paying my copay instead having them bill me. Once insurance settled out everything, I found out I over paid by $450. That was back in March of 2026. It is now September and after numerous calls to find out that they have changed billing companies at least twice, and then finding the right number that even the local staff had a hard time finding. I have called 5 times this far trying to get resolution and get a different person every time, but the same exact answer: 1. The refund request is under review 2. I will talk to my supervisor and get back to you - never happens 3. It should be processed in 4 - 6 weeks. I have since involved my insurance company and they get the same answers and no resolve. My advice - do not pay the co-pay at the time of service. I know they don't like that but I don't like having my money taken and then finding out I overpaid for the co-pay. They can wait until the insurance settles it out and bill me. It is too bad that Dr. Pires and team only use this facility. They are decent. They too have their challenges but I'm a fan of both Dr. Pries and Barbara Irish.
