I felt $45/night was expensive for "full hookups" which didn't include tv or septic. There's also no store on the premises. What I thought was one was labeled as the "shop" on the map but was actually a wood shop! The play set is really great, especially because we had it to ourselves. There were only two other campers there when we were over Father's Day weekend. I was told the Sam Owen campground is better and much cheaper ($12 a night!) but doesn't include electric. But it also gets all the deer too and has sandy beaches. I'll be going there next time I think. This one is clean and well kept, nice showers and laundry area (bring your own soap, they don't sell any). The firewood is inexpensive vs getting it at a gas station ($9 per 7 logs). The campground offers a huge wagon full for $10. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beach and docks were nice and clean, and pretty. We didn't try the restaurant but I've been before and would have gone if our stay was longer. The water had a funky smell to it so we didn't use it for cooking or drinking.

They are so tame....please folk teach your kids about safety and don't let your dogs chase them

I went on a Monday night campground was not full. I had a great time they have 1 bathroom that is permanent with 2 stalls and 2 showers and then a private mobile station with 1 private men's and 1 private woman's.....very clean. I can't tell you how beautiful this place was. I almost cried at the beauty. Camp host was so nice brought us a torch with our wood. But the grounds, and views are breathtaking. I would like to do an campers public service message please don't walk through people's campsites it's rude they do like privacy and teach your kids this as well use the road and paths. The restaurant had a wonderful server Megan. I was so scared I would get a scary server in a super tight mini dress (how do you even serve in that) but I got the most sweet and adorable Megan. I can't even explain how sweet she was. I wish I could be that sweet as a server.

When we arrived, not only was Steve there to show us to our spot, but several others currently staying. For our rig size, it was a close call and tight fit getting in, but once in our spot it was perfect. They got us in site 11 no problem. Is it an impersonal overly polished concrete and blacktop parking lot style RV Park with perfect level geometry/symmetry everywhere you look? No, but it was one of the best and most relaxing locations we've been so far. It's in the middle of a game preserve, so there are numerous deer routinely wandering around the area. Ahhh nature! As far as quiet goes, evenings were like a cemetery (in a good way). Just lots of peace and quiet to enjoy your surroundings. And the sunsets on the dock & beach! They are about as idyllic as you can get for lakefront property. We spent time swimming, kayaking, and just siting our on the dock enjoying the sunshine. I can speak for the internet/WiFi as we had great T-Mobile reception and so were only on our own hotspots the entire time. 60Mbit down / 8.9Mbit up. Perfectly suited to my purposes.

We found this park when we were passing by. We turned around and spent three days here! Chris and Marcy have put their heart and soul into this place! They have the above and beyond hospitality as well as a plethora of information about the area and the fun adventures nearby. They have a gathering area with very comfortable seating and fire pit in the center. Great play area for children and a dog walk for your fur babies. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily and very accommodating to all. As you can see we have had our fill of other types of RV Parks that tend to be more concerned about the sale than the truth. This place is priceless! We rented a pull through spot with full hookups. There are adorable cabins to rent on this 12 acre pine covered area with a short stroll down to the river. The spots are level, that's important in a small rig like ours. The place is super clean and the bathrooms are a dream! The folks in the campground are mostly just passing through and some are there for a couple days to enjoy all the outdoor activities. Those there for awhile are super friendly and helpful, we me several in our little world of chaos! The owner though, he's the real hero of this little haven! We arrived later in the evening only to find an entire group of folks in our spot. Well, what we thought was our spot!! We called the after hours number and one of the folks actually texted the owner for us. Lo and behold, in the year and a half on the road, I had mixed up the reservation date! We were scheduled to be there the day before and they were full that night! The owner found us a spot to park though, luckily with a plug in since it was so hot!! The bed and linens were very comfortable, and the store, showers and laundry will likely be some of the nicest you'll run across in your travels. On-demand endless hot water was a favorite, for those of us that love long showers or baths. If you get to meet the wonderful owners, Munro and Rachel, you'll see why it is such a special place. Their caring, attention to detail and years of experience with luxury vacation rentals and real estate sets them apart. Nice RV spots, grounds are well maintained and beautiful. For "glamping", the Conestoga Wagons are fun, and there are actual Tipi spots coming that'll be right among the trees! Be sure to walk the nature trail through the woods when you're here. Close to town but not too close. Quiet. We've already booked our next stay, and we're picky. You'll love it!
