I felt $45/night was expensive for "full hookups" which didn't include tv or septic. There's also no store on the premises. What I thought was one was labeled as the "shop" on the map but was actually a wood shop! The play set is really great, especially because we had it to ourselves. There were only two other campers there when we were over Father's Day weekend. I was told the Sam Owen campground is better and much cheaper ($12 a night!) but doesn't include electric. But it also gets all the deer too and has sandy beaches. I'll be going there next time I think. This one is clean and well kept, nice showers and laundry area (bring your own soap, they don't sell any). The firewood is inexpensive vs getting it at a gas station ($9 per 7 logs). The campground offers a huge wagon full for $10. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beach and docks were nice and clean, and pretty. We didn't try the restaurant but I've been before and would have gone if our stay was longer. The water had a funky smell to it so we didn't use it for cooking or drinking.

They are so tame....please folk teach your kids about safety and don't let your dogs chase them

I went on a Monday night campground was not full. I had a great time they have 1 bathroom that is permanent with 2 stalls and 2 showers and then a private mobile station with 1 private men's and 1 private woman's.....very clean. I can't tell you how beautiful this place was. I almost cried at the beauty. Camp host was so nice brought us a torch with our wood. But the grounds, and views are breathtaking. I would like to do an campers public service message please don't walk through people's campsites it's rude they do like privacy and teach your kids this as well use the road and paths. The restaurant had a wonderful server Megan. I was so scared I would get a scary server in a super tight mini dress (how do you even serve in that) but I got the most sweet and adorable Megan. I can't even explain how sweet she was. I wish I could be that sweet as a server.

We own the timeslot that is at the end of June and beginning of July over the Fourth of July. The weather is always 85 to 95° with warm waters and the lake is amazingly always very open. Meaning you can be on the lake July 3 or fourth and maybe see 10 other boats on a busy day. They also have a firework show that lights up the entire leg. It's put on by Sandpoint and it something we look forward to sharing with our family and friends every year. There are also some new people that come every year that you get to meet from all around the US and we have friends that we have seen there year after year and become close with every year for the last 20 years. This is also the fifth deepest lake in the United States with some parts over 1000 feet deep they used to do submarine testing and part of the northern mountains were a glacier tens of thousands of years ago. Same point is one of my favorite towns in the Pacific Northwest with great food, cold beer, and fun places to eat and explore around the city it's a perfect destination for a family to visit for a few days during the summer.

Talus was eclectic, artistic and it felt like we were a guest in somebody's amazing house. It was a midweek stay. Maybe there was another couple there. We had the house to ourselves. That night we saw deer grazing out back and it snowed overnight. We woke up to a beautiful scene which included a few people ice skating on the frozen pond. We were in the Kipling suite which had a jet tub big enough for two people to swim is. It had a mini fridge, microwave, small coffee maker with coffee. A definite off the norm place to relax. On a side note, had an over the top dinner at 113 Main.

Hi Heather, Thank…read moreyou for taking the time to respond and engage with the feedback--it's clear you care deeply about the property. We hope that on a future visit, you might experience TRR from the perspective of a first-time guest--someone arriving with the hope of finding a peaceful retreat, but instead feeling somewhat like they've unexpectedly stepped into someone else's private space. While you see meaningful memories and personal touches, guests may interpret these items, photos, and instructions differently. The feeling of intrusion was heightened when the resident innkeeper prepared their own family's meal in the middle of the great room, making the shared space feel less like a guest retreat and more like someone else's home with lingering odors. There's so much to love about the property--the architecture and setting are truly stunning. With a bit of refreshing (particularly in terms of dusting all the bric-a-brac) and a shift in focus back toward creating a getaway experience, TRR could easily return to the high ratings it once enjoyed--as a place where guests can relax, reset, and grow.

My husband and I moved to the Spokane area earlier this year, so we have been excited to get to…read moreknow the surrounding areas. Coeur d' Alene has been on my list as everyone says how great it is. So, a friend flew to visit over the summer and we spent 2 nights at the resort in their North Wing room. Then another friend came to visit this month, so we returned (with a much better experience). Arrival: Both visits were easy and we self parked. Be aware that there is an elevator from the parking garage to the resort and it is not the same one that will bring you to your room. Easy if you don't have a lot of stuff, but one visit I brought my dog and I could have used a luggage cart. So unload up front and then go park. Check in: Very quick. No wait. On the 2nd stay we were allowed to check in early which was nice. Rooms: North Wing- yikes. It does say on the site it is for the "value minded traveler." It shows. Summer is expensive there and since we were going to be outside the majority of the time it wasn't horrible. However, the room is much like a motel with the window facing a walkway. Ours was right next to the elevator. ugh. The inside was just okay. As others have mentioned, it could use updating. My second stay we stayed in the Lake Tower Room with double beds and fireplace and balcony. It was lovely. Nice room, beds comfortable, but the best was the view. Housekeeping: Unfortunately, both stays no one came to service the room. The Lake Tower even had a button to push when you want it serviced. We were out of the room by late morning and had the button turned on. Oh well. When I called, they did offer to service the room but we were tired and wanted to relax. One minor thing is that there is quite the push for tipping. I believe it came in an email and text. Just thought it was tacky. I've never seen that done before. Amenities: Visited the outdoor Blu pool during the summer. It was busy. My friend and I found an area that was "adults only" (not near the pool) and enjoyed the lake more than the kids in the pool crowd. Restaurants: Dined at Beverly's and Dockside. I will write separate reviews for them. All positive and will be back. The pre fixe dinner (early bird) was a great deal at Beverly's! ***Only policy I would suggest a change on is their charge for pet fee. It's one of the highest I've paid (and I've stayed at 5 star resorts) There is a DAILY $75 fee (someone said they cap at $150). I understand a fee is necessary, but I think that is a bit over the top. Our pup is crated (and prefers it) so does not require that deep level of clean other dogs might need. It might be better to have a standard reasonable fee and then charge the owner if the animal's stay requires additional cleaning.

When we arrived, not only was Steve there to show us to our spot, but several others currently staying. For our rig size, it was a close call and tight fit getting in, but once in our spot it was perfect. They got us in site 11 no problem. Is it an impersonal overly polished concrete and blacktop parking lot style RV Park with perfect level geometry/symmetry everywhere you look? No, but it was one of the best and most relaxing locations we've been so far. It's in the middle of a game preserve, so there are numerous deer routinely wandering around the area. Ahhh nature! As far as quiet goes, evenings were like a cemetery (in a good way). Just lots of peace and quiet to enjoy your surroundings. And the sunsets on the dock & beach! They are about as idyllic as you can get for lakefront property. We spent time swimming, kayaking, and just siting our on the dock enjoying the sunshine. I can speak for the internet/WiFi as we had great T-Mobile reception and so were only on our own hotspots the entire time. 60Mbit down / 8.9Mbit up. Perfectly suited to my purposes.
