Just left Beyond Borders and had THE BEST experience. Quite frankly there was party in my mouth, an explosion of fresh flavors coupled with awesome hospitality. I grew up eating Cuban sandwiches and I thought no way can Beyond Borders top an authentic Cuban sandwich, but you broke your foot off in that Cuban Bob!!!! Live within walking distance of this place and it's a treasure to have in the neighborhood. They three types of meats for tacos and I get all three because it's too hard to choose. My son typically gets the Cuban sandwich and gives it rave reviews. The owner is very energetic and friendly adding to the experience. The food is very well prepared and presented. As others have likely mentioned, it's a small place and basically carry out only. Several nice parks within a couple of blocks with picnic tables to eat at if you are so Inclined. I've made two visits so far and have been happy both times. I've tried the chips and guacamole, salsas, chicken tacos, and the cuban. All have been delicious. The pickles on the cuban really seal the deal. The owners have been really pleasant on the phone and in person. Friendly and chatty. Finally decided to check out the new Latin street food place next to the Mayflower party store and it was fantastic! The owner was very friendly and let us sample the shredded pork and chicken, which were equally delicious. We ultimately decided on the chicken burrito and the Cuban Sandwich. The burrito was full of fresh ingredients and also has a nice little spicy kick to it. I can honestly say it was one of the best burritos I've had! The Cuban sandwich was ordered on the advice of the owner - apparently it's a best seller. I've never had one before and decided it was worth a shot. Wow, was it good. I will definitely be getting another one of those very soon. But next time, which will be very soon, I'll be trying out their tacos... This is still a little bit of a secret gem in Plymouth, but the word will travel fast. This is the place to go for lunch! read more

Extremely disappointed with this place. After hearing great thing and seeing great review, I had high expectations that were let down. We ordered the rice bowl, wet burrito, and 3 tacos (one of each kind). The rice bowl, was what I ate, had many uncooked pieces of rice and topped with dried out cheese. This was our first time trying this place and I expected it to be a lot better for how much we paid (close to $30). I would MAYBE give this place another chance and order something else next time. I just spopped in to check it out and grab a quick lunch as soon as I walked in I met Bob the owner he is so enthusiasts about his restaurant he talked to me about everthing that they have and how he cooks it hes definitely passionate about his cooking. Horrible customer service. Had to wait an hour for an order after being told it would take 20 minutes. While waiting I watched my order go to a "regular". Owner proceeded to chat with his "vip" customer while a room full of people were waiting on their orders. If you place an order you better hope one of his "preferred customers" doesn't come in after you because that's who your food will go to. Very disappointed. Used to be a favorite. read more

Just went in for the first time today, randomly found it on Yelp. Bob & Mary are awesome. They made me feel at home and we had a great conversation. They invited me into the kitchen for a little taste test of Bob's food, it was DELICIOUS. I had the Wet Veggie Burrito for $10, portion was huge and the food was literally amazing. The first time I went there I had a horrible experience, I ordered a burrito and the person making it was not wearing any gloves.... I asked him to put on gloves after watching him handle money and not washing his hands after and he responded "I'm clean" .... No.... Tried Beyond Borders for the first time today. Went to Taco Bell first, but wasn't willing to wait 20 minutes in line there. When I first walked in I was greeted right away, was explained the daily specials and given a quick overview of the menu. Ended up trying the tacos since it was Taco Tuesday and they were fantastic. I had the rice bowl with shredded pork. I rate the food ok, not great. Nice that they use brown rice, but some bites were a bit under cooked and the rice was plain. Service was great and food was delivered quickly. The pork was good and the chipotle creama had a nice flavor. Would have been great if the rice was more flavorful and maybe some pico de gallo or fresh salsa instead of the diced tomatoes and a sprinkling of lettuce to amp it up a bit. read more

Great takeout! We had a Cuban, chicken tacos, ground beef and brisket nachos with a side of guacamole. Everything exceeded our expectations...It's rare when Nachos have more toppings than chips. We used to love to go to Barrio but hate that they don't do takeout. Beyond Borders is much better quality and service. Excited to go back and try even more on the menu! read more

I finally got a chance to try this place. So delicious! It's pretty much carry out only. The place gets busy so I would order ahead and pick up. But the wait is well worth it. There is a reason they keep getting 5 star reviews. Tried the wet burrito which was the perfect hangover meal. My daughter had the chicken tacos.
