She now has uneven patches, weakened strands, and damage that will take months--if not longer--to recover from. This was not an overdue install. It was a recent, full reinstallation. Notably, my bottom row -- which had not been serviced for months (my decision) -- did not show the same level of tension, further indicating the issue stemmed from the installation itself rather than normal wear or timing. This was especially alarming given that the salon recommends repeated "move-ups" (approximately $200 per row), which another stylist explained can compound tension over time and increase the risk of damage when an install is already compromised. When I attempted to ask questions and communicate concerns during my appointment with the stylist, Rylie, who performed the service, the responses felt passive-aggressive and dismissive, making it difficult to advocate for my hair health or feel supported.
