Tell me why I had to wait TWO AND A FUCKING HALF hours for my oil change. This has happened every time I have come here (3). There was NO ONE else at this establishment, other than an elderly couple. I had an appointment at 10am and didn't leave until after 12:30pm. I KNOW in my heart and soul it is because me and my friend are young girls. FUCK YOU BEYER VOLKSWAGEN. Execrable Service Department. Arranged for Warranty Service (oil leakage from engine) the previous week to bring vehicle for appointment on the next Tuesday. Dropped off vehicle Monday afternoon. Was told "no loaners." OK, fine, but this assumed something close to a reasonable time for diagnosis and repair. Left my phone number, asked for update, said please "leave a message." Tuesday, no contact. Wednesday midday called, left message, asked for call-back with my number. Zilch. That afternoon, around 4:30, entire service customer service goes AWOL. VW Service left a sign stating go to Volvo Service counter. Flagged down a Volvo mechanic, asked him to find out what was going on with my car. He came back a few minutes later and stated Vacuum Pump leak. OK, good, not complicated, maybe 30 minute repair given that engine cover etc. are off anyway. He said, don't have the part, "may be couple more days." What!! 2.0T is about as common an engine as you will run into. Online, HUNDREDS of OEM pumps available. OK, went by Service first thin next AM, was told "good news," we have the part in stock. Come by at 4PM, but "It may not be ready until tomorrow. There are two cars ahead of you." I stated, I had an appointment! This was unacceptable. What about a loaner then? "No, we don't have any--uh, so there must be a LOT of other people getting slow repairs). The truly rude and unpleasant Service Manager said then "Maybe you should not bring your car back for service." Uh, excuse me, I BOUGHT the car here and it's under warranty. So, recapping things. It took TWO FULL DAYS to get around to diagnosing a simple problem. Then another full day (or possibly TWO) to do complete a minute warranty repair (literally a 30 minute job). This would be at most take two-days t any competent auto-repair place. Maybe an hour to pinpoint the leak, order the part, then 30 minutes next day to install the pump. The whole purpose of "Scheduling" a repair for a customer means DIAGNOSING the problem promptly and repairing promptly. Our car was taken to Beyer Volkswagen in Winchester, VA for an insurance claim. The service department rep was Kelly and her HUSBAND is her direct supervisor so it's no wonder that there has been no accountability. Kelly flat out lied to us multiple times regarding sending the required documents to our insurance company, and finally, after 2 months without our car, the work was done. Our deductible was 500 dollars and when we went to pick the car up, they said "$1,100 dollars". They put 2 additional tires on that they didn't approve with the insurance company or by us. And they wouldn't let us take our car when we went to pick it up. So now we are still without our car. Please avoid this dealership at all costs!!! read more

Worst vw service I have ever been to they broke my throttle body connector working on my car then insist I pay for the new throttle body they broke. Then when I denied paying for the part they broke they said come pick up your car we will not cover warranty work the whole service center are dishonest and money hungry people STAY AWAY! read more

This dealership made purchasing a new car extremely easy! We were in the market for a new VW Atlas and were not looking to waste a bunch of time or be pressured into a car we didn't really want. This dealership did what every other dealership weren't able to do. They listened and pointed us in the right direction then let us think and test out the vehicle to see if it matched our needs. We were in and out in under 2 hours, which is amazing! They even beat the big city prices and we didn't have to drive an hour away! They definitely will have our business in the future. read more

Shout out to Kelly, Dave, and Dan! We bought a used 2019 Jetta with 136K miles at Beyer 3 weeks ago. It didn't come with any warranties and, because Beyer had done all the previous maintenance and inspected it before selling it, I didn't purchase any kind of extra warranty. A week later the check engine light comes on. Then the tire pressure sensor (even though all tires were newer and properly inflated. Then the front sway bar starts rattling. Needless to say, I was disappointed. I took it back to the Beyer service department and they quickly made all the repairs. The bill was hefty and I humbly asked for a military, wounded warrior, and/or disabled veteran discount. I also reminded them they had inspected the car before selling it. Likewise, I also admitted I bought the car "as is" and that I legally wasn't entitled to any kind of free maintenance. Ultimately they were able to lower the bill by a good amount and added "we want you to be happy with your purchase!" I'm very grateful for their kindness and professionalism! read more

I actually didn't know where to write this review. The same dealership goes by Don Breyer Volkswagen or Don Breyer Volvo. Evidently I already wrote a negative review of Don Breyer Volvo before. I'm the queen of second chances, so when my son found a car Car Gurus said was over $4,000 below retail and was a good deal, we went. It was a used 2017 car with just over 13,000 miles on it. I considered it a new/used car and it was high end, or at least a high end kind of car. We test drove it on a cold and windy day. Had some concerns, but they did agree to let me have a pre purchase inspection. We decided not to buy the car so we didn't have the inspection. We didn't want to spend a day in Arlington for the inspection and we didn't want a car that cost that much again, but unable to find something else, my son said to ask for $1500 off and buy it. It has a warranty and not much miles, so we thought we were being silly in needing a pre purchase inspection. They came off $1,000 so I got a bank check and my trade car and told them I was on the way to buy the car. I've bought a lot of cars. When they know I'm coming, the car is usually detailed and shiny and ready. We got there and it's filthy. I was so nervous and I just thought it was because it's been so hard to find a car and we didn't want to make a mistake. We were filling out the paperwork. We got to the last page of the preliminary work and that page said no floor mats. I was stunned. That brand usually has floor mats. I had asked ours sales person, Kevin to go get the exact miles off my trade and we went to check the car we were getting to see if it had floor mats. It didn't have floor mats, but it also was not in the condition we thought it was. The paint was all scratched. It had a big scratch in the front and what the dealership termed buff burns on the passenger side. The paint looked cloudy and definitely ruined. I knew it needed repainted. They said they didn't know that was there and that they were glad I found it and that they could buff it out, offered $500 additionally off. They said they would buff it and they would take care of it. I said I didn't think I could buy it now. The sales person and his boss said that was fine, but they would look into the buff burn and I should consult a body shop too and we could see the costs involved. My son was so disappointed. He took pictures, but before we left, we told Kevin we won't buy it. He said he would shred the papers. So I did contact the body shop and they confirmed what I thought. The buff burns can't be buffed out. Has to be painted. We know that painting that brand of car hurts the value, it costs a lot, and given the other scratches, no point in painting just part of the car. We had already decided not to finish purchasing the car anyway. We thought Don Beyer Volkswagen had realized the same thing, and they knew I no longer wanted the car, and they hadn't contacted me all day, so I assumed it was over. Then, late in the day, the phone calls started. They spent all day on it and it looks much better they say and that I should come see it. I left another message that we won't buy the car now that and he had agreed to shred the papers. I'm not sure they will honor shredding the papers. We almost made a bad car purchase and they think shining the car up now will make me change my mind. A temporary shine doesn't undo paint problems. I liked Kevin, our sales person, but I feel they nearly got us into a bad buy, and I'm not sure it's over. He called twice last night and one time today, despite my saying three times now I'm not buying the car. He isn't leaving voice messages, and so far, hasn't responded to my email saying not buying it. I returned the money to the bank. Not buying that car. I now know my nervousness was justified. Would have been a bad purchase and I would have been stuck. I don't think I will shop there again. read more
