About a little over a month later (12/26/2016), my wife and I received e-mail notification that our car has arrived and ready to take delivery. Although not the idealistic transaction my wife and I wanted nor the dealer wanted, but the outcome left good impressions on both sides of the party because each party had to compromise something to end in good terms, which is well mutually respected. Read on for the story... We arrived at the dealership 1 minute before closing at 7 PM. Of course, I've notified Theresa and she was willing to wait for me due to the long @$$ drive to the dealership (1.5 hrs) and dealing with I-66 WB traffic. Both sides of the party had scheduling issue, but we tried our best to compromise. My issue that night was instead of receiving 1.99% APR for 60 months financing (they verified that I could qualify for it prior to me coming in on a different day), I had to take a 2.75% APR for 60 months because there was a couple ahead of us taking up so long (they were not easy to deal with) closing up their deal that banks closed at 8 PM by the time it was my turn and there wasn't much negotiation power the finance manager (JoJo) can do about it. The mixed up reason was that they thought that I declined their financing deal and went with my credit union's financing deal instead ($400 cash back on top of 1.99% APR for 60 months), but it wasn't the case (doing this to expedite the transaction before year end and gift the car to my wife). Also, my wife had to leave to go to work, so there's no way that I'm going to call my wife to come back and pick me up when she's 1+ hours away, and come back and do this another day and get the correct financing rate. In the end, I'll just have to refinance the car loan with my credit union which I originally planned on doing, but because of the holiday season, the credit union couldn't get back to me on time to close the deal smoothly. I received a compensated $250 off the price of the vehicle courtesy of the sales manager (Kevin) due to a mix up with financing, among other things. I would definitely recommend northern VA people and the surrounding area to do business with Miller Honda, specifically with Theresa Henson because she was very respectful and courteous (be sure to also do the same to her) throughout the transaction. She has also earned Gold Master recognition from Honda, so for those who don't know, those are the ones who sell cars in large volume, provide excellent customer service, among other things. Just prepare for a long drive if you're not around Winchester, VA to get an awesome discount off of MSRP that other dealerships around NoVA, Maryland, and New Jersey cannot even do (I've tried).
