I honestly love their 5 cent wine sale. It is definitely the time to restock. Everyone there seems to be very knowledgeable. Besides BevMo; there is also Total Wine which has an amazing selection of different types of alcohols. The great thing about BevMo is they will match the price of Total Wine with a penny cheaper. I went to BevMo today taking advantage of their 5cents wine sale when I realized the wine I want to serve for my wedding is one sale for $9.99. I immediately ask a sales rep regarding the deal and whether I can lock in the price. Sale rep, Bret was very helpful and provided a lot of useful information. Since I was not able to store 3 cases of wine at home, it is best to have BevMo do it for me. I order my 3 cases and the great thing is, Bret went ahead and check whether Total Wine has the wine for a cheaper price and indeed they do for $1 dollar cheaper. I end up getting the wine for $8.98. I was very happy with the deal. Of course we all wonder but what if the wine goes on sale cheaper than $8.98 between now and the date of the wedding. Well, BevMo guarantee that if the price is cheaper at a later time before the wedding, they will price match it and give me back the difference. I would give them five stars but there are a few drink options here that are on the more expensive Side by comparative standards.. but for wine, no one can beat the 5-cent wine sale with the exception of online retailers. Bear in mind that all of the wines at the $10 price point are almost always gone when they have this sale, so prepare for your lesser expensive wine price points to look around the 12 or $13 range. Still an awesome deal! I love the fact that BevMo is your One-Stop alcohol shop, everything you need from mixers to snacks to drink ware is here. Special occasion? They've got champagne.. Rare or fancy wines? They've got those too. Employees are always extremely helpful and friendly , it's very rare when I have questions about different kinds of wines that no one can give me any info on.. YEs I love BevMo it has almost everything, this location is close to home so it is where i go, its a bit more expensive but its worth it since its close enough, that the gas I would have to use to go to a place like total wine. This is a great location never to crazy busy, easy access and the staff is always very helpful. Three stars for the selection of booze and the price. In all reality, Total Wine blows them out of the water in both of these categories. But, one thing BevMo has that puts it to the four star category is that they sell AJ's Montana Banana beef sticks and jerky, which is the best stuff you will ever eat. Hard to find anywhere else. I went there this afternoon to fulfill an order for Instacart. It was my first time being in the store and I needed help finding the items on my list to purchase. I asked the short hair blonde white woman in the red shirt for help. But she was too busy sanitizing carts and had zero interest in helping me and rudely said that she was not obligated to help me since I was a Instacart shopper. I thought that was very rude because regardless of being with Instacart or not I am still a paying customer I went there to purchase items for my customer but was not kindly offered assistance. I never heard of any nonsense that a BevMo staff member could not help a paying customer. I had to convince her that helping a paying customer is more important than wiping down grocery carts for people who are not even waiting for them. I'm very disappointed in the lack of customer service and customer care from BevMo and will not be going back to that store for Instacart or for my personal needs again read more

They have limes, peach salsa, chips, glasses, reindeer mugs, kegs, in-store pickup, cheeses, triple packs of Italian saucisson... oh, and lots of wine, liquor, and beer. All at reasonable prices. A gallon of Tanqueray cost $27, half a gallon cost a dollar less. And in the back they have wine sampling. I liked one or two of the Californian reds I tried that day. I like how right when I walk in, I can smell the booziness of the place. It's well stocked with a good variety of alcohol, plus there's a big sign telling you exactly what's on each shelf so that you can find what you're looking for without having to walk up to and inspect the bottles. The prices here aren't so bad either, and if you join their club thing you can get an additional discount on some of their stuff! What's really awesome though is that if you don't have any time to spare browsing, you can go to their website, see what the store has in stock and pick items to have packed for pick up. Anyway, the customer service: it was okay. The employees here don't really acknowledge you unless you ask them a question and even then, the answers aren't very satisfactory. I asked someone to help me find a wine to go with what I was serving and all they told me what kind and where to find it. I guess that's an okay answer but I was hoping they'd give more information like why it goes well with it or at least how the wine tastes... But whatever! Chris the new Manager at Bev Mo, No Freeway. Is just a young kid who doesn't know what he is doing, doesn't know where certain items are- goes all over looking for what I want to buy. He is disrespectful. I haven't been in there in person since Dec 2019. My husband and I both have compromised health issues. Took a chance and went in yesterday with my mask- my husband who is on oxygen 24/7 sitting in car out front. Only needed two items. I was following him all over the store while he was trying to find one of the two items I went in for. Two young girls walked in- one with no mask. He abruptly left me and went to them. He gave her a mask, they started asking him questions. He ignored me standing there waiting and helped them instead. I finally went to him and asked him why he was helping them and ignoring me. He was very rude and called someone else to see if they could find the bottle I went in for. Why is he there? Doesn't know how to treat customers! Also, I had to ask for a receipt and they asked me if I wanted my two bottles put in a bag. What? Really? Get rid of Chris or give him the training he needs read more

Good selection of wine and hard alcohol. The building is much newer than the Arden location although the interior seems a bit crammed. Smaller walkways and a lot of displays set up throughout the store that often makes it difficult to maneuver a cart around the store. All in all, there was a bigger selection of specialty wines like Brachetto that have been incredibly hard to find. BevMo had four different brands the last time I went in, which far surpasses the Arden location. Another plus to this location is that there aren't any random weirdos drinking outside the store- a problem that the Arden location often dealt with. One of the biggest pluses to this location is that while it is in the large shopping center with Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond, it is at the far end of the center and so there is ample parking and there is not a lot of traffic going in and out of the area. read more

Gigantic selection! They have pretty much anything that would be sold in California. (I only say this because there is a beer that I like from Tennessee that they do not have but that's because the brewery only sells to select places) The employees are really helpful too! They helped me pick out a bottle of wine as a gift and it was amazing. They have periodic 5 cent wine sales that are great. They even let you return the second bottle for the full price if you don't like the first bottle! read more

This place is super convenient, very clean and never busy. The staff is knowledgeable. This is the only place I have been able to find Newcastle cans. The pricing at BevMo is better than BelAir/Safeway. This is a great BevMo. The employees are very knowledgeable about different types of liquors which is so helpful. I recently asked an associate for some information about whiskey and he was so helpful not only with explaining certainly whiskies and their flavors so helpful since I am a vodka girl and don't know about anything else. I love coming to this place if I've heard or even taste a new wine or even had some alcohol that I wanted to try to mix with some other things to make a cocktail of my own to serve to friends, etc. The workers aren't really too helpful since you'd have to search for them all over the store. The store, however, is clean and you can easily find what you are looking for. This place has a range of items from pirates booty, various chips, candy, serving items, wine, cheese, hard alcohol, glasses, etc. You can pretty much find it all here. You can even rent a keg which I thought was great even though I haven't rented on yet. I have been able to find some sparkling juices that I haven't seen anywhere else and they sell it at a pretty good price so that's always a plus. Sometimes they have what I'm looking for and sometimes they don't. Despite this fact, I like having a BevMo close by and being able to try new things. If only there were workers that were around and knowledgeable to help me out in instances where I'm unsure of what to get. read more

Fantastic store with great staff help. I've had two experiences here that could have pissed me off but both were handled so well by staff. 1) One time I was leaving with a handle of Bacardi. The employee put it in a plastic bag but for some reason when I was two steps out the door the bag broken open and the bottle slipped out the bottom. Bacardi everywhere No problem. They replaced it immediately and profusely apologized. 2) I wanted to make a cute gift for one of my friends and specifically need Cazadores mini bottles. I looked and looked at their great selection of mini's but couldn't find it. I asked an employee and not only did she hunt around all over the store and in the back but she did find them! I like coming to this place if I need something 'special.' I'll buy my beer or Mike's Hard Lemonade @ the grocery store (cuz it's cheaper), but if I need some special liqueur this is the place I go. I also like coming here and picking up the mini alcohol samples that are at the front of the store as gifts for my co-workers & family. This place is heaven! Tons of choices for Craft Beers and the usual. It looks as though it has a good wine selection too, but can't really comment on that. The staff is pretty friendly and knowledgeable...so if you have a question of recommendation. Just ask! Yesterday, I went to this BevMo and was going to buy a 12 pack of beer and a 6 pack of soda. I had them in hand and went up to the register to pay, seeing that there was a register open where someone was being helped and 3 employees just standing and chatting, I thought I could go to the other register. I was directed to go to the other register. As I approached the other register, I said half jokingly, "I guess you're the only one that works around here." The manager (at least I'm thinking he was the manager in a red shirt) started an argument with me about what I had said, saying that they were having a shift change meeting. Then he continued to argue with me. So I decided that I wasn't going to buy anything, and told them, "You know, I'm not going to buy anything because this guy is acting like an asshole." Seriously, here's the thing: If you're going to have a meeting with your team, that's cool. Just do it in the back, instead of standing around just chatting. What you have to say isn't more important than your customers. Put your customers first. It isn't going to take more than a couple minutes to ring up the purchase, and your store was basically empty. Here's hoping that the red shirt will go the way of Star Trek redshirts and get fired. read more

One of the more relaxed BevMos I've been to. I usually encounter pushy prying employees because I look young. I however usually have someone approach me asking if I need help finding or selecting something, but not here. So I guess there's an up and down side of having relaxed employees. read more

Probably one of the better located BevMos in Sacramento. The liquor selection is about the same as the other one's, but once in a while they will have something special in their inventory. Found a good price on Crown Royal No.16 here one time which was quite delicious. But as others have mentioned, customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I remember one day walking up and down the aisles just killing some time. Not a single staff member came out to ask if I needed any assistance. And when I did have a question about something I had to track down one of the employees in the back/recieving area of the store. He probably didn't see me as he was talking to another one of his BevMo buddies about Pokemon or something. But anywhoo, I would reccomend shopping here if you either A) need a lot of booze at one time, B) the "by one, get one bottle of wine for a nickel" (I think they still do that) or C) if you're in the area you might as well stop by, but if you're in downtown sac.... then AP Liquors is calling your name.
