Do better, BevMo. The manager on duty this evening, September 25th, was incredibly unhelpful. The pricing displayed in the store was incorrect, and rather than taking the time to investigate or help me, I had to pull out my phone and use your app to try to prove what the correct pricing should be. The 1.75L bottle of Tanqueray wasn't even on the shelf, and the 1L bottle was showing at $40. I knew that wasn't right, but instead of getting any assistance from the manager, I gave up and went to Gopuff. And here's the ridiculous part: Gopuff charged me $36 for the 1.75L bottle of Tanqueray, and it was delivered to my house from your BevMo store about 20 minutes later. So your own delivery partner was able to sell me the correct size for less, deliver it from the same store, and provide better customer service than the manager standing in the store. That is a pretty frustrating customer experience. If a customer is telling you the price or product information doesn't look right, the answer shouldn't be "figure it out yourself on the app." Please do better. read more

I like the fact that this exists in the neighborhood however I don't like how fewer varieties of collection they have compared to total wines. Visited here couple of times and was never satisfied seeing the options. Ended up buying something that I didn't want as such. The staff is not very welcoming but they do a fine job. Also, I wish they had some good offers like other competitive options. This is DisneyLand for Alcoholics!! Yippee!! Located in a large shopping plaza with tons of parking. I was looking to get a bottle of Hennessy VSOP and found it here. Rows and rows and rows of all things alcohol. They have everything. If you can't find it here than it doesn't exist. I didn't want to be recognized by my Christian friends coming into a place like this so I dressed up incognito. Wore shades, hoodie and a beanie cap while it was over 110 degrees outside. I went in, told a worker what I wanted and he got it for me and rang up my purchase in less than 5 minutes. I loved it. Next time I come here I'll check out the wine selection and come incognito again. Now, I'm no alcoholic but I do like a good IPA, wine, vodka, gin, whiskey, rum, sake, tequila, and the occasional beer on tap on most days. I have been shopping at this Bevmo since it opened. The selection of wine has been diminishing more and more each year. I shop the 5 cent sale sometimes as there are usually a few wines I really like on the sale. A little over a month ago I purchased a little more than a case of wine. Recently I opened one t find it had turned. The second bottle I opened from the same vintner was also bad. Today I returned to buy another case and tried to return the clearly bad wines. The corks had disintegrated and the bottles were still full. Note: I have two large wine coolers that the wine is stored in. So my recommendation to you is not to shop there unless you are going to drink the wine immediately. I'm done... a Total wine customer now! It is Thanksgiving Day and no business is open for miles around except this place. So I head on in as I assume by the name it is a liquor store and find out it is. Once inside I head on down and survey every aisle and see what they have. Unfortunately they don't carry my husband's favorite beer Michelob Light so there you lose a star. The next error was they carry my favorite wine Conundrum however not only does it cost more than my stores at home but what is on the shelf is out of date. 2016 I can assure you is not good to drink anymore. In fact if I had a 2016 not opened at home it would go in the trash. Trust me I know my wines especially this one made by Caymus I have been to the vineyard in California in Rutherford as well as been drinking it for 18 years. Luckily I packed one in my suitcase so not to go without. I settled on a Korbel sparkling rose which we had with our Thanksgiving meal. Also got some miniature bottles for the rest of my trip here. Fireball and Rum Chata combined so I can have a nice drink of Cinnamon Toast. Than later as well as a small Frangelico which will compliment the end of this day. Happy holidays everyone! read more

Fair warning their website is not up to date. I work from home and used my 30 min lunch break to go pick up a birthday gift that online said there were 27 in stock. I drove there to be told they ran out of said item 3 weeks ago. I'd recommend calling before trusting. The website be up to date. They have a decent selection of alcohol, and are centrally located the challenge is they have very poor staff on the register, this evening one member, I believe his name was Paul seem like he was about to have a meltdown was rude, discourteous and lied to my face. I'll admit to being a more frequent visitor to "the other wine place" but I really have to say that any time I've stopped into BevMo, particularly this Norterra location, I have always come away impressed even if, like today, I leave empty-handed. The staff is alway friendly and ready to offer some assistance if needed. This is generally true of the other locations I've visited. The selection of wines is pretty nicely comprehensive and varied; there is almost always something I want to take home. Best of all lately for me is the discovery that they now have back in stock my favorite vodka, Hammer & Sickle, which I haven't been able to find in well over 5 years. So right there is a guarantee on my coming back often. BevMo should be a regular staple of anyone's wine / liquor go-to destinations. read more

The store staff seems fine and the store is pretty big has a lot of product however this morning I went in and it smelled like a stink bomb went off in there. It had the scent of a grease trap if you've ever worked in the restaurant industry or dirty stagnant water - a real nitrogen centric smell that sticks in your throat. I couldn't tell workers from customers. One guy asked if I'm okay. I thought he was a customer being weird and later realized he was asking if I needed help finding anything. Another guy later approached me and asked if I needed help after seeing me pacing back and forth in the Cabernet aisle. I said you guys don't seem to have x wine, do you know of anything comparable in the same price range? He shrugged off my question and went to a cashier and exchanged a few words, I thought for a recommendation, but nope never saw him again. Was he just there to make sure I wasn't stealing because I'm wearing a hoodie? An American flag hoodie with clear military shirt and shorts combo I might add. I haven't been to this location so decided to give it a try today. The store was clean, organized, and friendly cashier. I liked that they have various discounts. I ended up getting small bottles (the kind you find on planes) of vodka, wine, moonshine, and my favorite cider angry orchard in cans. They are usually good about matching Total Wine's prices but not this time. The manager came out to the register and was very grumpy. I didn't catch his name, but he was an older gentleman. Total Wine's price was $10 cheaper and he said he couldn't do that. I asked if there was any type of discount, willing to accept a few bucks off, but he refused. Horrible! Went into BevMo with a friend tonight after hiking to grab a bottle of wine for dinner. When she was checking out, the cashier asked to see both of our ID's. We kind of laughed at first because we thought he was joking. But he wasn't, I said, oh I just got done hiking I don't have an ID with me, but I'm not buying the wine AND I'm in my 40's. He replies, yeah I know it's silly, but we just got busted for selling to underage and now our policy is super strict. So does that mean that when parents come in, they can't bring their children with them because they wouldn't have a license? WTF BEVMO. It's not my fault you got busted, and I'm not trying to buy it. Short story: I reserved a keg, tap, and tub at BevMo. When I arrived to pick them up, no tap. Long story: I was on a conference committee and was in charge of bringing beer for our social hour the first night. I reserved a keg, tap and a tub for the keg one week prior to the event (see first phone call of 9 minutes). It was my first time reserving a keg and I wanted to make sure that I understood everything that I would need to have. They were very nice and helpful and at the end of the call I reserved these three things that I would need to have for our event. On the night before our event, I made a quick phone call to ask if it mattered what time I picked up the tub, keg and tap that I had reserved for the next day. They said that anytime was fine. The next day (see my third call) I called because, due to a last-minute trip to the vet for my dog, I was going to have to pick up my keg, tap and tub and go straight to my conference. I wanted to make sure that they would be ready to go so that I could get out of there quickly. The female store manager I spoke to asked me to hold while she went and checked that my keg was ready. She came back on the line saying that she wasn't sure where it was and confirmed what kind of beer it was with me again. What?! She placed me on hold again and then came back and said that she had seen my written reservation and had finally found my keg of Fat Tire, but it did not have a tag on it. Whew! Crisis averted. I confirmed with her that they had a tub and tap to go with it and she said yes, they would be available when I came in and she had retagged the keg. An hour later when I arrived at the store there was a new store manager, as the other one had gone home, and I let him know I was there to pick up my keg and tap and he said, "Oh, we don't have any taps available, we're all out." What?! I told him that I had just spoken with one of their employees one hour ago and she told me they had my three items ready for me and tagged. He told me he was sorry but people were not returning their taps from Halloween and they did not have any left. Since I was certain she had one for me per our phone conversation, I asked him to please go look because I JUST spoke to her and she said she had one for me. Well, he was unable to find one and I was in a complete panic because now I had almost no time to find one and get to the social hour with the beer. He was able to call and find a tap at a BevMo in the opposite direction of where my conference was and I had to drive there in rush-hour traffic and then turn around and drive to my conference. It was extremely stressful and I have learned a lesson not to trust BevMo if you need the beer. Perhaps most annoying was their failure to take responsibility. Both he, and when I returned the tap, another employee tried to tell me that it wasn't their fault, it was the fault of all the customers who had not returned their taps from Halloween two nights prior. I'm sorry, but at no time did you mention that you were promising me a tap that you did not have, or that not having one was a possibility, or I might need to have a backup plan. You said that you would have a tap for me and you did not have a tap for me. It is your job to understand your customers' habits and needs - it's called supply chain management and you failed. Plus you failed at good customer service. Most importantly, you don't promise to have a tap that you don't have. You could say it's first come, first served and make that very clear. Had someone told me that I might not be able to get a tap at the last minute, I would have picked up a tap earlier in the week, whatever I needed to do to not have the experience I had scrambling and driving all over to find a tap for 100 people at the last minute. When I realized that I was going to have to drive in the wrong direction and miss some of my conference opening, I told the manager "Well, you're at least going to give me a great deal on this beer then, right?" He looked at me like I was crazy and said "No, I can't do that." While I waited for him to get the keg, I called my husband and was very upset about what had happened. I think another employee may have overheard me and spoke to the manager, because he ended up giving me a 5% discount when he rang me up. So apparently he could do something and was choosing not to earlier, and five dollars for all that stress? I'll pass. I stressed all the way to the other store because I was afraid they would again give my tap to somebody else since I had spoken with someone at the other store only an hour before and they had promised me they had my tap saved for me as well. The manager at the new store was very nice and they did have my tap and I managed to get to the conference too late to help with some of the early tasks, but in time for the social hour for our attendees. No thanks to BevMo. Poor supply chain management and terrible customer service. read more

Went there today for two bottles of wine for gifts and had the best customer service. Dean helped me He was so knowledgeable and so nice!!!! Got me exactly what I needed within the price range I asked without trying to talk me into more expensive. He told me what was good and where it was from. I was completely impressed. Normally I would give Bev Mo a good review. I'm giving them a negative review in hopes management actually take s a minute to listen. I've never had a problem with their service or pricing. But something happened yesterday that compels me to share. As I entered the store I grabbed a hand basket to use. I perused the store and found my items, placed them in the basket and headed to the cashier. Now, keep in mind she had to touch my basket on the counter , then, of course , she has to touch the bottles I was purchasing to scan them, then place them in the bag. After I paid, the receipt spit out from the machine. I asked her to put the receipt in the bag please. She responded, "I'm not allowed to touch it (The receipt) store policy" Wait a minute- you're telling me you can touch those bottles and basket that numerous people have touched prior to today, but you can't touch a freshly printed receipt out of a machine that no one has ever touched?? Recently had the kids in town from LA. Son was requesting a keg of craft beer for saint patty's day celebrating. The manger sales staff were great in making sure that they could get the special craft beer he wanted and then made sure I had the tub, tap and ice all ready to go prior to me showing up to pay and pick up. Oh man this place is awesome!! I walked out with a very heavy box of booze for $85. Bleu cheese stuffed olives, Gibson onions, Stoli, giant bottle of Bombay Sapphire, Vermouth, six-pack of Stella, Three Philosophers beer, cheap shiraz. This has to be the worst BevMo location I have ever been to. Not only are the staff unwilling to help you find what you're looking for, but the stock is horrible. I have never been greeted when visiting this location, nor have I been asked if I need help while looking through the store. The one time I did ask for help I was vaguely pointed to an aisle and then told to look there. When I returned still not finding what I needed the staff member told me to wait while he looked up the item on his computer. The staff member then proceeded to help other customers and never followed up.. I really don't understand whats up with this particular location as I almost always have great experiences at Bevmos. Beyond the terrible staff, the fact they have a terrible selection really seals the deal in my dollars going somewhere else. Do novelty snacks and knick-knacks really out sell beer? Only word of advice I can give is just make the drive and check out the other locations around town. read more

One of the smaller BevMo stores in the valley, and parking isn't so great at this location. Normally I don't complain about this for liquor but when you're carrying a case it can be a pain. The biggest problem I have in BevMo as a whole is they are way overpriced. This BevMo, on Happy Valley, is not only overpriced, but I find their selection limited at best. So here is my recommendation; If you are looking for something that is common, I find the local Safeway and Fry's has far lower prices as their beer and wine are ALWAYS on sale. Everything is a few dollars cheaper. If you are looking for selection, I would recommend going to Total Wine on 75th. Yes it is a little farther, but they have literally 4 times the selection of everything. Also, their prices are the lowest hands down.
