BevMoFoMe!  I like BevMo's, yes I do.  I'm not a boozer or a lush (well, that's debatable), but that doesn't mean I don't always find something -- I do.  The prices are fantastic, especially if you join the club they have lots of special items -- buy 1 at regular price, and get the 2nd item for a penny. Location specific: Lafayette, CA: ============================ * This is absolutely the smallest locations I've seen. It has the basics, but instead of aisles and aisles, it has a few shelves or a unit, and therefore, less items and less inventory. * They have a very small refrigerated unit for meat & cheeses. Other locations may have a larger selection of cheeses and accompaniments, this definitely should not be confused as CheeseMo! or SalamiMo! * Compared to other BevMo's I'd rate this a 3.0 star for the minimal selection. They carried ZERO of THREE items I was looking for. * The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. read more

This was a decent BevMo, but it was a super small store. The selections were slim and I wasn't able to find a couple of items I was looking for. There aren't many aisles to go through until you've walked through the whole store. The parking in that area of Lafayette can be tricky. There's metered parking all around, but it's normally full most days. The clerk that checked us out was ehhh, she made a snarky comment that I wasn't so thrilled about. She had asked that she had so many questions since I was buying a cold beverage on a cold day. Well, I guess the real question is why would you sell it if you didn't think people might buy it!? Overall, it's a store if you need to get something quick but there are definitely other BevMos that are more convenient. read more

This is by far my favorite community BevMo. The selection is magnificent and the service is stellar. Not to mention it's conveniently located next to several of my favorite eateries! Making it easy to grab brunch with friends in the Lafayette sunshine, then pop over to BevMo to grab a bottle of my favorite Prosecco LaMarca, to keep the mimosas flowing from the patio of my little home. Made an online order for a tequila aged in Blanton Barrels. I was given tequila aged in Eagle Rare barrels. I was told all of the bottles regardless of the barrel age select are under the same sku. It doesn't make sense to have different products listed under the same name. The associate helping didn't seem to care. read more

I used this BevMo location for wedding alcohol ordering. Online ordering wasn't great both from a selection, payment or advance delivery perspective. This said, everything went off without a hitch on the day of with delivery and fulfillment of order. The team was helpful when I called the store to discuss details and they did a great job. The 5cent wine deal was a fantastic way to save money and get great quality wine - My mom, a wine enthusiast, was impressed by our selections and we were happy we got such great pricing on it. read more

I've been a customer at this location for about two years now, I go there for all kinds of things, wine, snacks, sometimes even just to get change. Everyone there is extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this location, feel free to ask questions when you don't know what to get, the friendly staff will help you find something good. Management is doing such a great job here! They do NOT have to worry about getting my money ever again. I called to inquire if they would honor a coupon that had expired 1 day ago. Now yes, my bad for missing the cutoff date, however, it was their $10 off $50 coupon that they ALWAYS send in the mail, meaning I'm sure there was just an updated code they could use that had just not yet made it to my mailbox. All that being said, a girl named Jordan answered the phone. I asked her about it. At first, she was somewhat pleasant, and said she would have to ask a manager. So she did, and comes back to the phone to say they will only honor 5% off expired coupons, "so um, no". I attempt to ask if there is an exception that can be made, considering it was only a day over and it is their frequent coupon. To that she repeated the same info she gave earlier, ending with, "So yeah, have a nice night". At that point I had to yell over her to not get hung up on and asked to speak with the manager myself. The manager Kevin gets on the line, only to regurgitate what Jordan said, BUT only after agreeing with me that they "always have those coupons" and suggesting I just wait until the next one arrives in the mail....you're kidding me right? And you're a manager why? Doesn't that job title put you in a position to problem solve, lead by example and ensure your customer has a positive experience?? Perhaps that wasn't in his handbook. At the end of the day, it is not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it. And he stood by and heard the way his associate spoke to me, and did not so much as apologize for it. It was not at all about not honoring the coupon, but more so how he chose to handle the call/inquiry. So needless to say, while the location is somewhat convenient, I will instead patronize our local Jackson wines, Total wine or hell, Safeway at this point! Lafayette BevMo, and their poor customer service does not deserve my money....or fabulousness in their location. ;D read more

So glad to have another local BevMo! This BevMo location is on Mt. Diablo Boulevard in Lafayette. It is a smaller BevMo, but still carries all of your beverage needs. The staff here is friendly and helpful. Parking can be a bit tough - this area of Lafayette is becoming more crowded with new restaurants and condos, but there are metered spots that are designated for BevMo customers. read more

Definitely the most below-average customer service of any bevmo I've been to. Probably emblematic of Lafayette's overall snootiness as a town. It's a small store with plenty of staff... so it's not like they're overworked or anything. Oh and someone please tell Jim to stop being such a curmudgeon. Or maybe just retire. read more

The store is central in Lafayette for walking if you are local. Otherwise very limited parking and all metered parking. The store is very sparkly and clean. Very limited selection as this is a small store. Also the prices are higher than the walnut creek store (Bacardi 750 ml was $4.50 more). And carry mostly bombers of beer instead of 6 packs. Counter staff was friendly and helped me locate items. Next time I'll stick with the walnut creek location for ease of parking, better selection and better pricing. read more
