I want to give praise to the Asst Manager of this location, though I regretfully forget his name. ‍ He went above and beyond to accommodate me with finding some wine selections for a wedding anniversary later that evening (1/17/20). The wines he suggested were not only solid options and priced within our budget, but also his advise was a smashing success as everyone raved over the wine that evening. Kudos to him! Having said that, this five star review is more so because of his excellent demeanor handling the situation (He did all this with great poise; something you don't get all the time from retail stores in general). I needed to return some items and he was more than understand of if the situation. He then walked us over to the wine recommendations and spoke to why each one would be good. He will in no doubt be GM of a store soon enough. To you: Thank you for being a genuine person and delivering a pleasant experience. Great selection of alcohol anything you can imagine is at BevMo. They have a rewards program which is pretty decent if you spend a lot of money. If I could do no stars that would be amazing! I went into the store because my card was declined and I called Eagle and they said you have way more money. I went to BevMo! and asked if they could reimburse Steve and do mine instead. Gretchen the manager told me that if my card got declined they cant do it and I said again my card was declined...he did it at least 3 times. BevMo is the most expensive liquor store I've ever seen. It is NOT WORTH the trip. There's nothing necessarily wrong with this location, but you can absolutely find the same goods for cheaper. Also, this really pissed me off: their receipts say returns can be made in 7 days as long as you have the receipt and the alcohol is unopened. This is FALSE. We bought alcohol for $90 and found the same exact stuff at a different store for $30.... then we couldn't return (even though the receipt clearly said we could). I will not be returning. read more

Wow, the ONLY BevMo we have been to that requires a print out to price match, despite bringing up the competitor's price (Total Wine) on my smartphone. Manager iterated that a print out was needed. The four other BevMo's we had been to didn't require that. We won't be coming back. Thanks for the inconvenience. We should have known that this store isn't as good as the ones in Tustin and Torrance/Gardena area -- phone customer support was questionable (in comparison to other stores we had called in the past) before we even had set foot in the store. BevMo is well laid out, full of amazing alcohol choices, and pretty much always providing some sort of sale on a lot of their wines. I usually have some difficulty tracking down a staff member to help me with wine choices, but if I can find one, they are very helpful! Here's the thing, Bevmo brah who rang me up, When I'm buying six bombers of craft beer you can't just grab any old cardboard meant for a regular six packs of long necks and expect to cram the bottles in there. My first impression of the place was that it was a smaller version of Lee's Discount Liquor and Total Wine and More from Vegas. The selection of Wine was so/so...a little disappointing. Lol We discovered a product called Pocket shots. Omgerrrd. Best thing ever! I wish I had a pictire to share but they were genius. They were individually packaged 50 ml shots! They had rum, vodka and a whiskey of some type. The alcohol itself was of a generic brand but hey it did the job! And the convenience was amazing. I was happy to make my visit to this Bevmo location. This time I was spent a good deal of time looking at the different gift packages of liqueurs. I was happy to pick up a Jameson gift pack which I couldn't find it before at another Bevmo closer to my home. I was intrigued by their selection of absinthe, but I chickened out on picking up a bottle; not really my thing. They had a nice layout for tequila and whiskies. I was really excited to find a bottle of Mulderbosch Sauvignon blanc for sale at this Bevmo branch. As an expat South African I bought it and took it home, placing it in my wine fridge immediately. We were having some SA guests over a few weeks later and I wanted to surprise them with is, as it is really difficult to find in the USA. Well when I served it, it was corked. We were all so terribly disappointed. Bevmo's return policy is 7 days and as we had passed this, I didn't even bother to try and take it back. What this did teach me is to stick with Total Wine - never had an issue from them all the years I have been shopping there. Clearly Bevmo doesn't know how to store wine - shame on you. I will be sure to tell everyone I know and all those that I meet of this story and trust they will also go to total wine and not buy Bevmo's corked wines. read more

Great place to get that hard to find Wine or Liquor. Went there looking for a Chocolate infused Port and they actually had several to choose from. The staff was also very helpful and quick at the checkout. Loved that they even sell those little alcohol bottle shaped chocolates filled with alcohol... so cute and delicious! BevMo! Cosa Mesa was a spacious location as compared to BevMo! Burbank. There was a bigger selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. I bought a couple bottles that probably shouldn't sit in the car. Also, I loved their open refrigerator and pantry snack sections. When ever I am here I try to go in when Tahnya is working and I try to not go in when the short guy with a Napoleanic complex is on duty. She is very enthusiastic about her job. I work in this hospitality industry and own a mobile bartending company and her level of service and product is very good, ... They are lucky to have her here because she has the potential work at a much nicer place... but hey that money is probably going toward Shareholder Dividends and CEO salaries, stock options, and other benefits and we all know how much value that will bring me as a consumer. Rude! Manager is rude (younger female that works during the day on Friday's). And another gal that works there also had a snarky attitude. I work for DoorDash and went in to pick up an order and was asked for my ID. I ran out to my car and grabbed it and showed it no problem and then continued on delivering my order. Coincidentally my next order was for the same BevMo. I went in to pick up my second order and was asked for my ID yet again. (I had literally just been there 15 minutes prior). I was slightly agitated because I too was in a hurry to help MY customers, so I asked if I should just show everyone my ID so that if I had another order I wouldn't have to show it every single time. That's when the snarky manager with her bad attitude told me that they have policies and I would need to show my ID and the order on my phone every single time (in a very not nice tone). I was never asked to show the order the first time I picked up, so I suggested that they get everyone on the team on the same page with their policies - to which she replied, "Yeah, you'll never be allowed back here again!"
