Just spent $80 here, the checkout guy OFFERED us a box, once getting to my house (which is 1 minute away) the bottom of the box broke and shattered all of our booze. Since it was less than a minute since the purchase, I called to see if they would replace it since it was their box and they offered a box, and we probably could have just carried it with no issue, they pretty much told us to go kick rocks. Really? So I went to Vons, got a cheaper bottle, and a better experience with people who actually give a damn. I will NOT EVER step foot inside a bevmo again! Great place to get that hard to find Wine or Liquor. Went there looking for a Chocolate infused Port and they actually had several to choose from. The staff was also very helpful and quick at the checkout. Loved that they even sell those little alcohol bottle shaped chocolates filled with alcohol... so cute and delicious! I love the generic response from this dirt bag company that expects you to use CVS's restroom, then say they pride themselves on high standards. If you had high standards you let customers use the only place they can wash their hands. "Come in spend your money on our high priced items, but you need to go next door to use the restroom". When ever I am here I try to go in when Tahnya is working and I try to not go in when the short guy with a Napoleanic complex is on duty. She is very enthusiastic about her job. I work in this hospitality industry and own a mobile bartending company and her level of service and product is very good, ... They are lucky to have her here because she has the potential work at a much nicer place... but hey that money is probably going toward Shareholder Dividends and CEO salaries, stock options, and other benefits and we all know how much value that will bring me as a consumer. Bevmo has these cool buy 1 get the 2nd one for $.05 sales and their inventory selection is pretty good. They aren't always exclusive for these privately labelled brands (when a winery/brewery/distillery creates a specific brand just to be sold in that specific corporate store) Bevmo pushes on their shelves. So I gave my basket back back to the employee and told him he can take his restroom key and flush it down the toilet that doe not work!! Never again BevMo! read more

I was really excited to find a bottle of Mulderbosch Sauvignon blanc for sale at this Bevmo branch. As an expat South African I bought it and took it home, placing it in my wine fridge immediately. We were having some SA guests over a few weeks later and I wanted to surprise them with is, as it is really difficult to find in the USA. Well when I served it, it was corked. We were all so terribly disappointed. Bevmo's return policy is 7 days and as we had passed this, I didn't even bother to try and take it back. What this did teach me is to stick with Total Wine - never had an issue from them all the years I have been shopping there. Clearly Bevmo doesn't know how to store wine - shame on you. I will be sure to tell everyone I know and all those that I meet of this story and trust they will also go to total wine and not buy Bevmo's corked wines. read more

Not a lot of people comment about the work staff but these guys are awesome. BevMo! Cosa Mesa was a spacious location as compared to BevMo! Burbank. There was a bigger selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. I bought a couple bottles that probably shouldn't sit in the car. Also, I loved their open refrigerator and pantry snack sections. They carried nonalcoholic champagne and mojito gummy bears for impulse buys at the checkout counter too. Great customer service. read more

Rude! Manager is rude (younger female that works during the day on Friday's). And another gal that works there also had a snarky attitude. I work for DoorDash and went in to pick up an order and was asked for my ID. I ran out to my car and grabbed it and showed it no problem and then continued on delivering my order. Coincidentally my next order was for the same BevMo. I went in to pick up my second order and was asked for my ID yet again. (I had literally just been there 15 minutes prior). I was slightly agitated because I too was in a hurry to help MY customers, so I asked if I should just show everyone my ID so that if I had another order I wouldn't have to show it every single time. That's when the snarky manager with her bad attitude told me that they have policies and I would need to show my ID and the order on my phone every single time (in a very not nice tone). I was never asked to show the order the first time I picked up, so I suggested that they get everyone on the team on the same page with their policies - to which she replied, "Yeah, you'll never be allowed back here again!" (As if she holds that power) *insert eye roll emoji here* She's absolutely right! I showed them email and finally they found it .. she asked me to get order you need to show me the card that made payment.. This Bevmo is spacious and has a good selection like most other Bevmos. It is located right off the 55 making it easy to get to and can lead to some fun at triangle square when you're done! This place has two restrooms and won't allow thier patrons to use them. They actually has the balls to lie and say they didn't have one. I was wondering around using an app to check different wines when one of their employees came over and offered his assistance. I told him the type of wines I was looking for and he walked me all around the store recommending different wines and pointing out ones that were on the buy one get a second for 5 cents sale. seems bigger than the one in huntington, but that's still my homestore. this one was nothing special. no one asked if i was finding everything okay, which is fine by me. but i DID find a huge ass 1500ml bottle of duvel. When I walk in the store I feel like a kid in a candy store. Huge selection of Irish whiskeys and bourbons which is what I came looking for so I was happy. Big selection of imported beers you won't find at most places. The help is kind of crappy... I couldn't find what I was looking for and had to walk up to the checker to ask her. huge selection of liquor! Since I'm your typical asian that likes to drink Hennessy, this would not be your place for it since we can find it cheaper elsewhere. However, this place is convenient enough for me since I have a friend that lives in the Newport Beach area and we love mixing drinks like moscow mules so this would be the place to find everything you need. Store is neatly organized and labeled so it may seem overwhelming at first but you'll find what you're looking for. Besides World Market, this Bevmo location carries my favorite ginger beer in the fridge so its nice and chill for me! read more
