Yeah, you are brain dead if you can't get behind a giant warehouse of beer, wine, snacks, and all kinds of liquor. They even sell cigars, bottles, and caviar. They have almost everything under the sun (though I didn't see any Russian River brews) that you could want for a very reasonable price, especially if you're a BevMo member. This is a good BevMo to go to if in need for some discounted alcohol. This is a modern location that is a decent size, so they have a good selection of wines and other spirits. The biggest downside is the traffic and the parking- don't park in the first row next to the BevMo since it's difficult to back out with all the traffic going in and out of the plaza. read more

So it's xmas eve, and they're understaffed at the checkstand. Not trying to hold the line up, after I couldn't figure out what my Club Card number was, I said forget it and was trying to go ahead with paying the non-member price. Adam, the checker insisted that I don't mind the line behind me and sign up again to get my deal. There is so much alcohol at BevMo! We stopped by to purchase quite a few bottles of wine for a birthday party. We weren't sure what we wanted, but we definitely had a huge selection to choose from. We ended up getting a few different bottles of red wine. And then we moseyed on to the other side of the store to the Soda Shoppe! We picked up some bottles of Jasmine Tea Ginger Ale (so good - and made with real ginger!) and Root Beer. I think it was "light" root beer though so it had a weird after taste. By the way, don't drink your bottle of root beer when wandering around Costco afterward. People look at you weird. read more

Great selection of liquor and staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I always walk out feeling like an alcoholic... They always have 5c wine sales, the wine can be a hit or miss but if you do your research thoroughly you will pick a good one. I always love browsing every aisle in this store and take forever. Always has latest booze in stock and I love their seasonal picks. I really wish they had a better point system since I spend so much money here keeping all the booze in stock at home. I called in once asking about a tasting and Scott was very informative. The 5-cent wine sale brings me back here more often than I'd like to admit. It's not that I don't love BevMo, it's that everytime I go in, I can't help but buy in excess and in return feel like an alcoholic ;) All of the locations are great, but I think Colma is one of the larger ones in the SF area and parking isn't as much of a pain as other places. I know my wine pretty well, so I don't rely too much on the employees for suggestions. I prefer to help myself and peruse the aisles alone in my own thought, often debating between which wines I NEED to add to my wine rack. I'm in LOVE with the extensive micro brew beer selection as well. I got turned on to Stone Vertical Epic and Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin (hurry - it's seasonal and never lasts long!) last year during one of their great Friday beer tastings. My one hang up is that the prices are somewhat higher for certain wines that I often find for cheaper elsewhere, but overall, their selection and convenience outweighs everything. About to make another trip here soon to stock up on libations for a housewarming party this weekend. BevMo, you're too good to me! read more

People here take up 2 parking spots with a mid size and economy size sedans.. The cashiers are usually swamped in increments but sometimes its so inconsistent, the lines remind me of the toll bridge.... Boylan Cane Cola!...They ran out of stock faster than the US govt, ran out of money in their checking account. read more

I was attended today by a rude, ill-mannered, and aggressive elder philipino cashier. I asked, " Would you like me to place the items on the table or do you have a hand scanner". He responded with, " What do you think counters are for". My father took it offensive and told him to apologize since he's talking with a lady. The cashiers response was b "What for, she can hear me". I'm a regular customer here, I did not like his attitude with me and to my father. What kind of cashiers do you have working for your store. Overall, my experience at this location has been great. The customer service from MOST of the employees have been the best I can ask for and the prices and selection are the best in the area. HOWEVER, there is one employee which I feel is putting quite a blemish on this location. From the 3 recent times I have been in this location, an older man (roughly 6 ft. Caucasion male, gray hair, combed back) constantly asks for our ID's as we our shopping to check if we are 21+. At first, I did not see this as a problem until I noticed that we were the only ones which he was questioning. I am not sure how he chooses people to check, but in the numerous times I have visited this location, I had never seen this employee ask for any other customer's ID as they are shopping and it has started to feel as if he is being discriminatory towards certain customers and has been giving me, as well as the others I have entered the store with, an unwelcoming vibe. I F****** love this bevmo location, I've shopped here for every kind of alcohol that they carry, but I always keep coming back here for their great selection of craft brews. They house hundreds of craft beers from tons of breweries worldwide; with my favorite being Stone from Escondido, CA. I think that they have the largest Stone beer selection outside of San Diego, they carry every year round variety, as well as the seasonal offerings and collaboration projects; and somehow manage to sell them cheaper than other places. If beer doesn't tickle your fancy, maybe the wine or hard booze displays will, they have everything you could ever possibly want to drink under one roof; everything from Ouzo to Flora de Cana to Absinthe. Be warned. NO RETURNS. Agreed to buy booze for son's wedding, bought over $500 worth to make sure wouldnt run out and ended up with about $100 too much. Guess what? No refunds, exchanges, store credit or trades. Be warned therefore - either risk running dry or risk overbuying. To add insult to injury. Loaded a cart with over $300 worth of booze but when i got to the expensive locked up bottles, they wouldnt let me take it. Insisted on taking it for me to counter . Why?? SO i wouldnt steal 2 bottles worth $125? But im rolling with $300 worth? You'll let me take $300 but not $125? RIDICULOUS. Of course, once i went to check out, they forgot to grab the 2 bottles so I had to drive 15 miles back to go get them the next day. Poor policies. Poor service. Look for 'refunds' on web for Bevmo. BevMo is awesome! It's my go-to place for restocking my wine rack, easy holiday or housewarming gifting, picking up specialty beers, etc. Wine: They have a periodic 5-cent deal where you buy 1 bottle, get the 2nd bottle for 5 cents. The selections for the deal are usually good, but they could definitely benefit from rotating them more often. Beer: The beer selection is impressive... better than the wine selection overall. This particular store has definitely jumped on the craft beer bandwagon. It can be a little intimidating when you see so many bottles at first, but if you don't know what you want, they have a lot of singles, so you can try a bunch of different ones. The workers have also helped me narrow down some choices and haven't steered me wrong yet! The store is just right off the highway and parking is easy. LOCATION: This BevMo store is a huge warehouse with lots and lots to select from. There is plenty of parking, it's well lit (at night), and there is enough foot traffic to feel safe. There are other major stores nearby, such as Target, Michael's, Game Shop, and it's close to the Metro Center which has many other stores. This makes this BevMo centrally located so you can one-stop shop when out and about. THE STORE: Clean, well stocked, open, airy, well lit, well ventilated, modern. STAFF: The staff seem knowledgeable and willing to point you in the right direction when needed. They are professional and personable. There is one particular gentleman named DAVE who was a standout. He was extremely knowledgeable about his spirits and it showed. He was not an elitist or a snob and made recommendations while simultaneously giving you an education. I thought it was helpful yet it didn't appear he would shove his knowledge down your throat; after all, I engaged him because I was trying to find a very specific imported wine and he had lots of good pointers and suggestions. I would give him 5-stars alone. OVERALL: Bottom line.... This is a great place to go for all your alcohol/spirit and party needs. I will be going back. read more

Colma Bev Mo...truly...the BEST Bev Mo around these parts! Really spacious (used to be the Serramonte Six Theater, boasting $1.00 movies, back in the 80's and early 90's! Ah the good ol' days) AND plenty of parking because it's on the opposite side of the parking lot from Target! Bev Mo's wine & craft beer aisles ALWAYS impress me with the vast selection...easy to pick up old favorites and make new discoveries. Love the $.05 sales....though it does tend to put one in mortal danger of running out of space to store new acquisitions...bottoms up!!! = ) Yet another bright spot to this location that I don't see at other Bev Mo's are their in-store tastings!! I stumbled upon one by accident in mid December...rounding an aisle and lo and behold, a sparkling wine and chocolate tasting! JACKPOT!! Finally, while all the Bev Mo's seem to have pretty friendly crews, the group at Colma is among the nicest and I see alot of the same people so must be a pretty good place to work!!! Always cheerful, ready to dive in and help you track down some near impossible to find liqueur or obscure Madeira! AND cutey cute cuuuute drinking accouterments. Like what? Like plenty!! Having purchased kegs before, I expected an easy process for both pick up and return. Upon returning the kegs, I had misplaced my receipt in the mix of planning an entire party. Marianne, the store manager confidently said I couldn't get my $200 refund without a receipt, even though she remembered me and was the one who checked me out. She tried to look for a copy of the receipt in her own records and couldn't find it. Not sure why she couldn't just look it up on the computer with my name, the date, phone number, etc. Not to mention, her pricing was different than the list she gave me, but she said she couldn't honor it. After getting impatient that she obviously didn't want to help me, I told her I wasnt leaving until I got my money back. She then started yelling at me in front of the whole store, causing an audience. I was furious as I simply wanted my money back on the deposit I put down and all requirements were fulfilled to return. Mind you I spent almost $500 on two kegs and alcohol; but, this is how a store manager treats a paying and now a former repeat customer. Definitely not a good look coming from a store manager. Her lack of customer service and respect for customers who simply wanted their deposit back turned into a dreadful experience thanks to Marianne. I'll never be returning as I couldn't stand seeing her snooty face again! I recently used BevMo for my son's wedding. Jaime, the event manager, was extremely helpful. He helped me pick out wine and champagne that were part of the 5 cent sale. He also helped me estimate how much of each item I would need. Because there was only a week before the wedding, I was worried that delivery might not be available. But that was no problem! Jaime was able to schedule it for the time slot I needed. He also made sure that the white wine and champagne were chilled for delivery. I also ordered bags of ice. I wish I would've ordered beer kegs from them. I certainly had a great experience with BevMo in Colma! I would highly recommend them for any event. read more

someone had to drag me out of this place after perusing for an hour. not all the prices are impressive- but you can always find great deals here and a really nice selection of alcoholic beverages. drinking is an important part of life. people stuck on juice and milk look gaunt and their skin is dull and lifeless. the tequila, scotch whiskey, rum, gin, and vodka selections are my favorite. i appreciate that i can find a few hard to find items- my favorite gin called sarticious made in the santa cruz mountains, coffee patron, and quality potato vodka. I also enjoy being able to find the whole gamut of glenmorangie scotch and well aged talisker. You'll find a plethora of beer to boot. for wine, i prefer to go to world market for a wider selection of cheaper options- and a more knowledgeable staff (particularly at the Santa Cruz location). I also do trader Jose. but this place has good stuff too. I came here during the holiday raucous - so it was difficult to get service here. I imagine its easier to flag a person down to open the locked glass doors during the non-holiday season. read more
