I'm not used to having one of these stores in my area, so I wanted to check it out. When we walked in, we were greeted by the cashier and asked if we needed help. Honestly? We came in to look around and said the same. We did notice staff helping out customers and being very helpful with whatever the inquiry may have been The store actually carries quite a few items and this one was pretty spacious. They had the usual alcohol items--beer, hard kombucha, wines, spirits, seltzers/RTDs in different sizes--on both the warm shelf and some items in the cold box or lock up case. These were all well organized and stocked and arranged appropriately. And prices were pretty reasonable. They also have a cigar/tobacco section and even more items spaced around the store--party supplies, items for hosting (cocktail shakers, glassware), and a lot of food! The food items were snacks, frozen (ice cream), and charcuterie items. I had no idea that it was basically an all in one type of store. I actually went through the aisles to see what else they carry and stumbled upon the clearance section (up to 20-50% off). I checked dates and they seemed fine, but we basically just shopped the discounted section to find some snacks and drinks. I went in with the expectation of maybe buying some alcohol and coming out with something else completely unexpected. I will definitely check out this place the next time I'm in town. read more

While I was looking for a couple of items, a staff member came over, asked if I needed help, and even walked with me to find exactly what I was looking for. Booze Wars! No it is not an A&E series but the reality of the fight to sell you alcohol. We have Total wine, Target, Costco, mom and pop, Walmart, and a plethora of various and sundry retailers. BevMo holds their own. They have a very good selection of both wines, beers, and liqour. To survive and expand their are getting into food items ( frozen foods etc)...good luck with that as the margins are nil. Visited BevMo to get a variety of craft beers for a small gathering. The staff was super knowledgeable and suggested several new brews I hadn't tried yet. The selection of local and international beers was vast, and the quality was fantastic. I also found some great discounts, making it an excellent value overall! read more

This place has everything when it comes to liquor. What mostly saw was a lot of hard liquor. I really saw some discounts on most alcohol compared to a corner store liquor store in San Francisco. Employees in there were rude, asked few questions already got upset and didn't want to help. I went in and asked for certain items they're saying, "I don't know just go look around". I looked at their name tag one of them is a service lead and she doesn't know where the items are and how in the world I know. Same as the manager, other times I went in he was rude too and off topic talking bs. I love Bevmo. I've filled carts full of bottles to celebrate happy events, sad events, and everyday life. I've ordered and picked up bottles, had bottles delivered to my office and/or home, and have spent hours in the store carefully - no, lovingly selecting bottles to bring home. From 18+ year scotch to crazy expensive brandies for my relatives, Bevmo has me covered. Huge bottles with built in handles of Tito's Vodka or Jamesons for my wildly popular and highly coveted invite monthly parties are a must here because ...sales! Everyday bottles of new or old world wines can easily be found here. I buy here when my wine membership from the vineyards are all gone. Yes, I have wine with family dinner few times a week. I like to buy beer here ESP Lambic, Sours, and Guinness - but we won't get into that or this review will be too long. I haven't rented a keg here in a long time. 2018 goal for sure. I think I can still do a keg stand. I'm dead serious. Bevmo never judges me when I pick up a bottle of 21 year old scotch, random cheeses, meats, crackers, olives, and nuts at the end of my workday. They DO NOT open at 9am but 10am. Today I visited the BevMo and purchased a bottle of the Ole Smokey Moonshine Hunch Punch Lightnin' flavor. Upon opening the bottle and trying it when I got home, I had to spit it out immediately as it was a foul taste and not at all what it was suppose to taste like. I immediately brought it back to the same store to advise that the bottle had a foul taste and was bad. However, I was advice by "Rauren" that since the bottle was open, she could not take it back and to come back when the manager is there. WOW, really?! I thought they would want to know if there was a problem with one of their products. When I mentioned to Rauren that she may want to remove the item from the shelves to at least prevent further issues with others, she just walked away without responding. No acknowledgement, no "I will look into it", nothing. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service and concern here, will definitely be sharing this experience with others to beware of buying from them. read more

Wide open space! You're in the suburbs now. Everything was tidy, dust-free and they had plenty of displays to satisfy their vendors and tempt you to try something new. That's great but on some of these product islands (not all) there was no pricing information which was annoying. I also couldn't find anyone to ask a question: I gave up after asking two customers if they worked there and that made me feel foolish. So, I chose two different varieties of red and had the cashier scan both bottles so I could make a decision. Then had to go back and pick a second bottle since both were buy one, second $0.05 sale. The highlight of this store was the cashier who was pleasantly efficient. I wished I'd gotten her name. She made me feel good about shopping there. The store has a good selection of wines and spirits and is in a shopping center with plentiful, free parking. read more

Had the worst customer service experience all around. I know it's a bit hectic these days with this Shelter In Place, but I ordered 12 bottles of wine online to pick up at the Colma location. The price changed when my order was ready to be picked up. I called the store to have them correct this and spoke with an incompetent sales clerk there. He tried to pawn me off to the customer service number which was not accepting any calls due to "high volume of calls" so I called back and the same sales clerk answered and he asked for my name, number, and order number which I supplied to him and he said he would call me back. I never received any call back from him or status of my order which was ready to be picked up. I called back a couple of hours later and all I got was a busy answer. I called back several times back through out the day and seems like the store purposely put the phone off the hook so they would not have to deal with answering the phone. This was so frustrating. So, I called back the following morning and spoke to the store manager Phil. He was very rude I told him about my issue and he mentioned it was happening to other customers as well. I also asked him why I wasn't contacted back yesterday when his sales clerk said he would call me back. His apology was not sympathetic at all after I said I wasted my day by the phone trying to find out the status of my order that's when he rudely interrupted me and said "I said I was sorry what else do you want from me!" He was raising his voice and threatening to hang up on me. I just wanted to vent and he was just being rude and short tempered. I tried to ask him again and he said "you're saying the same thing over and over again" and threatening to hang up on me which he did. I called back this time very upset, I did tell him he was very unprofessional and ask to speak with his boss he was just yelling back at me and he hung up in my face again. I called back to ask him for his boss's name and contact number and he hung up the phone again. I tried to call back to get corporate contact number but he left the phone off the hook like they did the other day. That's when I called the San Bruno location and spoke with the manager there to have them contact the rude manager at Colma "Phil" and to either transfer my order to the San Bruno location or cancel it. I also got the information to the corporate office to complain about "Phil" I left a message for Matt Navarro his supervisor but I have yet to receive a call back about my complaint on "Phil". I did have to go back online and re-order everything again for the San Bruno location. The order was ready to pick up in less than an hour and the charge amount was correct. It was much better service at the San Bruno location than it was at Colma. This would be the last time I give Bevmo my business because of this one unprofessional manager "Phil" at the Colma location. I don't know anything about wine... Maybe just the difference between white and red, that I don't like wine with a lot of tannins, and that Sancerre is my favorite wine from France. My bf's dad is a man of few words. Our conversations are usually brief and to the point. I do know that he likes to watch football, he can keep his pokerface on at the Casino for 3 hours straight (and often wins too) and he needs a good amount of alcohol for him to start talking. In paragraphs. The bf spied a Johnnie Walker Red in his parent's pantry and declared it unacceptable for their upcoming Christmas dinner. Since we were in the area, we decided to check out Bev Mo's selection. A much prized Johnnie Walker Blue label was on sale for $180 (originally $205) and the Gold label was a steal at $69. I also scored on a Pinot Noir Bourgogne Rouge for only $18! a nice alternative if you're tired of pinots from Sonoma's Russian River valley. Don't be tempted into buying their $4 wine gift bags. It's half price at Target which is walking distance from here. I'm psyched to see his face when he sees the Johnnie Walker Gold that we got for him. Colma is the City of the Dead, known for all of the cemeteries. I am loving this BevMo. This location consistently has the best stock. They have great gift versions of top shelf liquor and novelty items. I saw a silver Jaegermeister gift I might purchase. They also sell Cuatros Coppas the only organic tequila on the market. This large store used to be the old multi screen movie theater "Serramonte 6" I purchased my "Obama Beer". This is the first store that I have seen it for sale. And I also made a drink menu of about 20 mixed drinks to go with my bar. So finding all the bottles of alcohol could be a hassle if not for bevmo. Vodka, Vanilla vodka, blood orange vodka, frangelico, grenadine, peach schnapps, don Julio tequila, patron, triple sec, Malibu rum, capt'n Morgan spiced rum, kahlua, bailys Irish cream, margarita, crown royal, Heineken, Stella, bud light, blue moon, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, orange juice, sprite, coke, 7-up. That's what I need for my bar for my mixed drinks plus beer. Bevmo had it all. So again made for some easy shopping. Everything is easy to find. Since I have now converted my schedule to include a weekly brunch called Mimosa Sundays, we had to come to Bev' Mo for our Champagne needs. Depending on the specials we can opt for a few bottles of bubbly or a large magnum of the good stuff for a great deal. This location is big for a BevMo. They carry a decent variety of wines, beers, liquors and sodas. Like any other BevMo's, they also carry a good amount of serving products and foods that goes with alcohols. The prices are generally higher than grocery stores, and even on par with liquor stores. But, the bright and clean interior along with having everything needed in one place makes it a one-stop shop's visit. The friendly staff helps too. I'm writing this review only because I'm $20 away from getting a 5% savings reward, when cumulative spending reaches $250 (doesn't include tax though). Was surprise this promotion was still in effect. Also, sign up at their website (www.bevmo.com) and get 5% off the first online purchase. Do a pick-up in the store to save on the shipping. I wish there were BevMo locations in Hawaii! I make it a point to stop here whenever I'm visiting friends in So. San Francisco for the great deals and big selection they have on spirits. I normally get just 1 or maybe 2 bottles of something that is about 1/3 less the cost than if I bought it in Hawaii. This last time it was just a bottle of Galliano and a bottle of Gosling's rum. Can never really get too much since it'll push my luggage over the 50# airline weight limit (my bags are already stuffed with Trader Joe's stuff!) But...the things I always HAVE to get are the little shot-sized bottles of alcohol. Some may not know but you can bring those onto the plane in your carry-on bag since it's under the 3.4 oz. liquid limit. I usually carry 2 of the small bottles on board and have them with some soda once we take off. That and popping a Lunesta really makes for a shorter flight. :) *Just make sure you have the bottles sealed in a quart sized ziploc type bag. read more

Very convenient location as I can get my shopping at Target and BevMo done all at once! I always come by during their $0.05 wine sales and whenever they send me a $10 off coupon. Last time, I got six bottles of wine for less than $50. Score for this wine addict! Make sure to to sign up for their reward program as you'll get a 5% savings award after spending $250. Plus, they send you random coupons every once in a while. I think I got mine because it had been a while since I shopped at BevMo. Good selection and this location is a decent size. I love BevMo! This one happens to be my favorite location, not because it is conveniently located to where I live, but because the staff here is so friendly and helpful. A few months ago (before I had an experience with wine) I went here to find my boyfriend's mom the perfect bottle of wine for her birthday. My friend and I were clueless as we strolled through the aisles trying to decipher what the descriptions really meant. BUT THEN...someone could see the distress in our eyes and came to our rescue. I have shopped alot at the Taget Store many times in Colma but never went to Beverages & More until today on a afternoon... This is the very first time for me that... I have been inside at this Beverages & More Liquor Store in Colma... When, I went inside... I was amazed on how much Liquor that this Bev & Mo had from Champagne, Wine, Beer, Rum, Tequilia, Vodka, and many many more... Not only do they sell Liquor they also sell food as well... The food items that they have are cheese, Salame, crackers... They also have German style beer mugs they are really big and huge!!! This is a really neat Liquor Store for all those people out there... Who really likes to drink acholic stuff but not me... I'm very upset because I purchased a $300+ bottle of Insignia (red wine) from them in February and had it in my wine fridge up until this past weekend, deciding to open it over the long weekend. I brought it to a wine dinner, with people who are in the wine industry, and immediately everyone knew it was corked and told me to save the bottle and take it back to where I purchased it and they should honor an exchange for the same bottle, as unfortunately this is something that happens from time to time. I went into this BevMo the very next day, no one there even knew what a corked wine was and told me to come back Tuesday (today) when there manager was back from vacation. So I did as they asked and came back today and even he didn't seem to understand what a corked wine was--I'm sorry but if you work in an industry that sells wines you need to understand this. Regardless, he said that he couldn't exchange it because I purchased it over 30 days ago. So, if you're like me, and like to collect wine and not open it the second you buy it, then I would not suggest buying any nice, pricey wines here just in case it happens to be corked, because they won't understand the issue and they will not honor an exchange. In my case, it's a napa wine so I am going to try going directly to the winery as this is too much money to just throw out, but if this was an international wine I would really be screwed. read more

Great selection of alcohol and alcohol related products but the prices are well above what you would pay at a grocery store or somewhere else. You pay for the convenience of getting basically any type of mixing materials you will need to bring the inner bartender in you. You need to sign up for a bevmo card to get take advantage of their specials. Also one time here I bought some tsingtao beer but the price in the fridge did not match what scanned. I asked for a price check and they said the scanned price was correct. After my purchase I just checked to make sure I was not seeing things and sure enough the price was listed lower. However the difference was 75 cents so I did not want to waste my energy. I'll only come here if my friends drive me here as Id rather go to a grocery store or a mom and pop liquor store for my alcohol related purchase needs. read more

Once in a while they have sales on some wines and other drinks....buy one and get second for .05 cent for certain wine which they had today. Once the buy one get second one for .05 cent, it goes back to normal price but if you have clubbev card membership, you can get some discounts on most of the wines and other drinks you want to get from. If you don't, you pay full price. This place, Clean, spacious, and theres a parking lot (usually pack since it's a plaza which have others stores and restaurants). Have a lot section of wines, beer, hard liquor, cocktail, champagne, non alcoholic drinks, and food/snacks. Came on the day where they have wine tasting on few bottles of wine for $2 but you can try as many as you want. We used BevMo in Colma for both our kids' weddings (Oct. 2018 and Feb. 2019). Phil, the manager and his staff were really helpful. Rather than seeing dollar signs, they made suggestions for better taking alcohol that actually saved us money by choosing item that were part of the 5 cent sale. They even suggested getting some of the mixers at others stores to save money. Not only did they save us money, they also helped to decide how much wine, champagne, beer and hard alcohol to order based on the number of guests and how many would drink beer compared to the other alcohol. I usually shop at this store for normal small amounts and never thought to use them for a wedding. Both deliveries went smoothly and helped make the wedding celebrations positive. The only reason why I'm writing this review is because one of the employees, Employee name: Isaiah, did a terrible job in handling my return and as a customer you should feel like you were helped at all cost. It was a simple return that could've easily been dealt with, but was given the dumbest excuses. I actually had to wait for the store manager to help me with this.
