Love this store ..!! Selection This store has a huge variety of pretty much everything you want. In particular I love their wine selection. Price. The prices are high but they offer good discounts and promos. Their 2nd bottle for 5 cents if you buy two is amazing if you are a wine lover. They also keep sending $10 off $100 or sometimes even $10 off of $50. So that's a real deal saver. Customer Service. They always greet you when you enter. I had a particular wine in mind and I asked them if they have it in store. They helped me find it and even offered help if I need to find anything else also. Parking Parking is huge and even on a Sunday afternoon it looks like the picture shared and Empty aisles. I would def not worry about parking here. Bonus - if you don't know it already, if you subscribe to their emails, they send you emails on special offers. These offers are valid for same day delivery/ pick up. BUYERS BEWARE-Always open the box to check the item. I am disgustingly disappointed with a recent experience at this store. I purchased what I believed to be a bottle of Macallan 18 which costs $432.99. However, after opening the box to double check at the cashier which I normally don't do, I was shocked to find a bottle of cheap whiskey inside instead. They did exchanged it to the right bottle after I confronted with the store manager. I asked what would have happened if I had walked out of the store and come back later? They explained that they would have giving me the correct bottle if I had come back later which I find hard to believe. This incident has shaken my confidence in this company. It is unacceptable for a reputable retailer like BevMo to engage in deceptive practices that mislead customers and tarnish the integrity of the brand.I understand that mistakes can happen, but this goes beyond a simple error. Placing a bottle of cheap whiskey in a Macallan 18 box is a deliberate attempt to deceive customers and is completely unacceptable. Not only is it dishonest, but it also reflects poorly on the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. I urge the leadership to review the inventory management and quality control procedures to ensure that similar situations are avoided moving forward. Another disturbing issue was that I was notified 2 hours later by Chase Fraud that there was an unauthorized attempt to use same credit card. There were too many coincidences to simply brush this off as being an unfortunate occurrence. read more

We've all been here. With a shopping cart. Armed with our money saving membership card. Because the prices are good, the coupons and sales make it great, and the selection often saves a lot of time going to a range of multiple stores. Having said that - not all BevMos are stocked the same so use your handy dandy phone to check inventory of the bottles you need before you show up or even better, buy online and pick up in person. I usually find great deals on reliable everyday wines because wine with dinner is a must In my world. Vintages that make dinner extra special can be found at K&L. I can also find my fancy aged whiskeys as well as my favorite, Hangar One Vodka here which makes me pretty happy. Porter, stout, and sour beers that I love are always easy to find here. That makes me happy! I have always found it a funny thing to have people go out of their way to tell me why they don't drink/don't like to drink. I personally don't judge people who don't drink. If anything you're pretty much asking to be the designated driver next time we go out! If you do drink this is the perfect place to stock your home bar. If you don't? You probably have zero interest in this review ...so there's that. I have been blessed with a palate that makes wine and spirits something I enjoy as immensely as beautiful cuisine. Bevmo. Update: Since writing the original review this morning (11/18), a store employee reached out to apologize for the error. The computer system had a glitch where it dropped some of the order to them but it was not complete as it lacked the pickup information. They canceled the order and put the items aside for me to pickup in store. So it was all resolved. Hopefully BevMo will fix this issue so no one else goes through this. == I have been to this BevMo several times without any issue. Now I placed an online order for pickup (before the store opened). I got back an email saying when ready an email would be sent. No email came, so I called up the store to find out it was "scheduled." Huh? This was a pickup. This is about BevMo's customer service as otherwise booze is booze. Anyway, twice I've had issues with delivery via a third-party delivery service (Drizly, Shipt, etc...). Both times I've had to reach out to BevMo as support with the delivery services gives you a generic reply and seemingly cannot help. Yesterday, I was supposed to get my order between 3-4 PM, yet Drizly took 5 hours to deliver (60 minute delivery my ass). Drizly wouldn't respond to my requests and wouldn't let me cancel. At 7:30 I called BevMo and they had to reach out to Drizly to get a driver to pick up my order. Finally received it just after 8 PM. Two weeks ago, same thing happened and someone from BevMo actually delivered it to me. I've been shopping here for years and though I've never had issues with BevMo, I've never left a review until now. It's been their great customer service that made me realize there is more than just a beverage store here. Thanks! read more

Had some ideas about what I wanted to get ahead of time and fortunately was able to find it. Considered just bring beer but that would not have been as interesting. Been to this location several times, today was my last visit here ever. Came with my wife and one of our friends, cashier was super rude about asking for all 3 of our ID's, normally only one of us provides and ID and it isn't a problem. I left my wallet at home today, I'm 33 and very rarely get carded anyways, had he been kinder about it maybe I wouldn't be as upset about being turned away. It's a BevMo! I'm not sure what more needs to be said. The store was clean, fairly well merchandised and offered a huge selection of wine, beer, cordials and liquor at amazing prices. Armed with a $10 Discount Coupon (minimum $50 purchase), we were in search of a bottle of celebrity whiskey being hired by Bob Dylan. As expected, they had a bottle of"Heaven's Door" locked in a locked case that one of the clerk's happily opened for us. The store personnel were friendly, the prices competitive and we were in and out of the store with our Heaven's Door (to satisfy our curiosity and sip on occasion) and a bottle of Jameson for more regular consumption within ten minutes. read more

For my 27th birthday, my boyfriend bought a 7.5 Kirin keg for my house party! Bevmo has a great selection of beer kegs and we wanted a very light Japanese beer to play beer pong and rage cage. You do have to order the keg beforehand, recommended at least 5 business days in advanced. Either call the store directly or order it in person. My boyfriend ordered the keg in store since we were in the area. Mike helped us the entire process and he was great!! Overall it, it was pretty streamless process, we prepaid the keg and provided a credit card for a deposit for the keg, the tap, and the tub (~$110). There is a $9 cleaning fee for the tub and tap. So in total the keg and the 7.5 gallon keg was ~$106. On the day we picked up the keg, Mike showed us how to use the tab, to place ice in the keg and to leave the keg still for 45 minutes before pouring it out. There's no specific timeframe you have to return the keg but we returned it about a week later. Just remember to bring back the receipt to get your deposit back! We forgot our receipt at first and was on the freeway already when we remembered we needed the receipt. So we drove back to get the paper and got our deposit back on the credit card. Overall, all my friends and I had a great time pouring themselves beer and it was definitely one of the highlights of my party. Highly recommend getting a keg for your event as well ;) read more

This is my neighborhood BevMo. Not really a lot to say about Bevmo. Plenty of alcohol, plenty of accessories for the home bartender/host, and good selection of snacks to accompany the drinks. This particular location is situated in Town Center of San Bruno right along SR-82, or as commonly referred to as the El Camino Real (ECR). Parking is plentiful, and spacious since the re-paving project was completed this year, and you can feel free to walk around the center and browse other shops and dining establishments before or after your Bevmo purchases. This particular BevMo is stocked to the ceiling with a great selection of beer, wine, spirits, coolers, lights, darks, and non-alcoholic beverages as well, including sodas and water, etc. My particular flavor is the whiskeys. I love a good Macallan, as anyone who's known me for two seconds can tell you, OBAN, RedBreast, Bowmore, Balvenie... simply good islay or highland selections. And when I feel the need for a quick cheap fix, Jameson. They stopped the Macallan 25 year old, which I understand, at $800 a bottle there probably wasn't much demand, but I always preferred it than spending $100 a pour at a bar... I recently settled for an 18 year old, not bad at all for $200 a bottle. Also, I love the 5cent wine sales because I love to cook and deglaze with wine, and I follow basic culinary rules where I only cook w/ wine that I drink; it goes hand in hand. The staff is fairly young and doesn't always know what specific kind of alcohol you may inquire about but that's okay, they quickly jump to their best friend, the computer and help you out as best they can. The floor staff is super generous, knowledgeable, and willing to help you find that perfect drink for your particular needs. No complaints here. It's a solid establishment at a great location, and if you're excited about being carded like I am, they do card people here. I actually love it, it's one of the main reasons I come here... It reminds me that to some people, after all these years, I still appear to keep my youth. read more

I used to think Bevmo was a good wine store and after coming to this and a few others locations I have come to the realization that I can find better wine at my my local Von's grocery store Yes they have selection but of very things that are good Their promotion of buy a bottle full price and get the second for 5 cents is brilliant yet you can buy both for less than that at other stores If the wine is not in sale their prices are not so good But In a pinch it is okay to go here For beer and liquor hey have the staples but again unless the items are on sales the prices are not so great I would have to give a BIG edge to Total Wine as a much better chain read more

I happened to be that annoying customer who came in 15min before they close, to try and find one of the hardest beers to locate (cali creamin) Tim was able to look it up on the computer and told me there were 2 left in the store. They had to finish ringing out customers so I quickly searched. Anjoe came back to help me try and locate it, but I'm telling you it was like a needle in a haystack lol. I finally just grabbed another beer knowing I was defeated and didnt want to hold these guys up any longer. You know you're an alcoholic when you find yourself thinking up reasons to go to BevMo when you see one even though you didn't even plan to go. After a late lunch/dinner at Red Robin, I saw BevMo's sign and quickly said "hey, there's a BevMo, can we go and get the sake2me stuff?? I think I'm out of jaeger too". I was pretty sure BevMo won't have it because I've checked sake2me's website before and I thought they only listed the colma store. I was right. This BevMo is notably smaller and not as complete. But I almost never make special trips to BevMo so I take any chance to go to the damn store when I see one. Sure enough, I walked out with $50 worth of booze. read more

This used to be Petco and its a nice addition to San Bruno but I didn't visit until New Years Eve. The wine I love at Lunardi's was $1.00 less here and there were many specials. Where I grew up, you had to buy booze at a liqour store so this was a little nostalgic for me Upside is they have much more inventory then even the best stocked grocery isle. San Bruno has had a few vacant spots for a business this size and there will be a few more (CompUSA, Washington Mutual, the theatre on Noor). This is a move that looks like it worked. The San Bruno location brings this discount liqourland to anyone who doesn't want to trk to either Colma or San Mateo. I wonder what will fill the other spaces?? read more

New BevMo location recently opened across from the Tanforan mall. I never stepped food into a BevMo until I wanted to buy some dessert wine. Of course, they had it. AND it was $2 off that day. They have awesome deals where you buy one at regular price and get the second for 5 WHOLE CENTS. Totally worth it if you show up at a party with one bottle for the host and keep one for yourself haha. And I love how they have a "point-system" where some wine expert grades the wine off a max scale of 100 points. The wine gift bags they sell are at least a couple bucks. Well, it was either hotel bar drink prices or buy a ton of varied and delicious beverages at the liquor store. Not to do anything half assed, I queried the locals as to what liquor store had the best beer and wine selection. BevMo was the general consensus. They weren't wrong. If you like Belgian beers, they have an awesome selection (dangerously so). Those Canuck-Belgians (Unibroue) beers made us and our conference hosts jump into the sea later that night... but I digress. They also had some nice specials on Oktoberfest biers and the wine selection was decent. Did pick up a few bottles of wine that surprisingly made it home undrank. Among the harder beers for me to find locally that BevMo had were: Gulden Draak, Unibroue's Terrible and 16th anniversary beer, Jubelfest (seasonal anyway), and Meridsou 8. To sum it up, this is like a fireworks superstand of alcohol. Only thing missing was that they didn't sell Styrofoam coolers (they did have ice). read more

Oh BevMo, I love you. I've never "shopped" for root beer and hefeweisen before. I could have stayed for days. I love root beer. I had NO idea what I've been missing. And you can buy individual bottles--do you comprehend how wonderful this is?? I had to stop myself at 8. The beer--my god, the selection is really, really great. I can't say anything else about that. Just great. With one minor exception, the staff were amazingly kind and helpful. I had my 10 week old with me, which means fewer free hands and more stress. Someone came over and boxed up all my goodies in one sturdy box, then started to put it in my cart. Another employee came over and said, Hey, that's going to be too heavy for her, then asked if I wanted help getting my goodies out to my car. My jaw almost dropped. In this day and age, it can be really remarkable to receive service like that without even having to ask for it. I was helped to the car, he loaded the box, closed the door and then very politely waited until baby was safely in her car seat, then offered to take my cart back for me. Gasp...gasp gasp gasp gasp gasp. Wow. It's such a small thing, and it's sad to have to make such a big deal out of it, but I'm truly impressed with BevMo's great service. I was here the other day and didn't realize how horrible this store was until I had gone to the one in Serramonte. I know you can't do much having such a small store, but the way everything is setup makes life even more difficult. I walked in yesterday and there were a few people in the back sipping wine, so I walked back there to check out what wines they were tasting. After a minute they finally stop ignoring me and said that it was a $20 to taste all of them. After being insulted by the lady I tried looking for what I needed just to find it locked up and no one around to open the case. So I went to Serramonte to buy it. There was also a wine tasting here to, but theirs were free. And they even had some caviar for people to taste. And the item I was looking for was just sitting on the shelf. read more
