Bought my very first Keg for my 26th birthday party and decided I would go with Bevmo. MISTAKE #1 They tagged the keg wrong. My on-line order was for a half keg and they filled me a full keg. The lady at the register told me that I would either need to pay the full price or pick a half of whatever else they had available which happen to be only Miller Lite which I do not dig. SOLUTION: I guess after realizing for sure it was their fault, they completed a price adjustment so I got more beer (I liked) for my buck.... we had a lot of left overs. MISTAKE #2: I go back to return the tap and empty keg. They tell me that I am going to get my full deposit back( 93 bucks). The next day I am checking my bank statement and notice that Bevmo CHARGED me 93 bucks!!! SOLUTION: I call Bevmo and the manager tells me that he can reverse the charges and give me the correct deposit. UNRESOLVED: I check my statement today and no such transaction has been made, yet. I called my bank and they told me that it could take a couple days and maybe up to 15 days to show in my account; which is way to long, because I have bills to pay. Overall the keg was a hit and Bevmo tried to correct their mistakes;however, there were way to many mistakes made during this whole scenario to allow me to have any faith in Bevmo's service. Not sure what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly crowd that Michael has generated - regular friendly locals who are all very inviting and all love beer. I have to admit I'm kinda still a noob when it comes to appreciating good hops, but I'm learning quick with the likes of these regulars. A full round of tastings (and more) will cost you a measely dollar - similar to Total Wine & More. Only difference here was that you pay your dollar at the cash register after you finish your tasting... so you technically can get away without paying anything, but that would just be asking for it (aka bad karma). Overall, great service and a great community feel here at the Chino Hills BevMo! I came here with my wife for the Saturday afternoon wine tasting from 1-4pm. For $2 a piece , we actually got to taste 9 bottles (Yes 9 bottles!) of some really great wine ranging from California Sav Blancs to Spanish Temprallio. Damn why go to a happy hour when you have this?!?! I told the guy at the wine tasting that he had the best job in Bevmo and he said he wasn't complaining!! On top of that though he was real knowledgable and made some great recommendations. Needless to say this is going to be weekly thing for us!!! I have been to this location a couple of times. Same as all other BevMo's, lots of wine (sorry I only pay attention to the wine, not a beer or hard liquor person), basically too many good, tempting choices. I try not to go to BevMo too frequently because I would go broke and be drunk all the time. Well, I guess drunk all the time could be interesting, as long as I don't get the hangovers. The last time I was here, I got to partake of their wine tasting. 6 wines for $4. A good selection of wines. Found out that some wines that had caught my attention, weren't ones that I wanted to buy so it was definitely a good thing. Basically any store that has wines at good prices is a good thing. Love the 5 cent sale --- buy 2 bottles of the same wine and get the second for 5 cents. Hopefully, the next one isn't until the summer, so I have some time to drink those wines I already have. The selection at this store is 1/2 of the old or your "typical" BevMo stores and the prices resemble those of a street corner liquor store. First of all, I'm not a raging alcoholic. But I do like to have a sip or two once in a blue moon. And when you're having that party, poker night, dinner, or lonesome self-pity drinkfest where you need to get a certain wine, or pear cider, or case after case of sweet hard liquor... this is the place to go to. They have a kick ass wine selection and pretty much have any type of beer you can think of. (Including what I think is a Jewish beer called "HE-BREW." HA! HA! Come on.. that's hilarious!) They also have all the mixes, barware, and peanuts you need to make your party and/or self-pity drinkfest complete! That's the "& MO" part. I can usually find my favorite wines at Bevmo... even those from smaller California wineries. What makes it more fun to shop is their selection of cheeses and meats to go with it! I go to school in MN and can't buy Dogfish Head beer there, but I was able to pick up a pack of their Midas Touch (made using the oldest beer recipe) at this location and bring it back for my bf to try. BevMo! is a great franchise, and the usually have the largest selection of all sorts of booze. However, this location is unexceptional. The employees are not as helpful or enthusiastic as I have found at other locations, and the beer and sake varieties not as extensive. I often come to this area because of the petsmart. I asked a cashier if I'd be ok to bring my dog inside and she said yes. Today I tried to bring my dog inside and this old man told me in a rude tone I couldn't bring her in. Another time I called and asked if they had a certain whiskey was in stock and the employee sighed and rudely told me no. This place lacks customer service and I do not feel welcome here. Get all the employees on the same page about the pet policy and hire people who aren't so rude. I guess I'm going to have to start driving to the BevMo in upland from now on. read more

This BevMo is nice and secluded... As always, BevMo is packed with all the whine-sale goodness. I managed to see the various Absinthe brands they carry, well over 4 or so... and in the $60-$70 range. I might have to go get me a bottle of Lucid Absinthe... For the cheapos, they sell tiny bottles of the stuff for $6.99 each, looks like it provides you with 2-3 shots of the stuff. So looking throughout the beer section, I noticed a very enticing blond ale, with very nice packaging. The packaging was beautiful enough that I wouldn't want to drink the beer (yeah, I have a thing for cute blonds ;) ). My buddy picked up a bottle of jagermeister. I might come back to stock up for a future Rock Band party and/or the BEach Party'08 I need to plan out. Great stuff BevMo! read more

I think I might need help . . . I just keep on going back to this place. I like BEVMO that much. Every once in awhile they will have have taste testing of various drinks or wines. Great for us on a budget. And it is very hard to try everything they have. This a good way to weed out the bad or not your style beverages or spirits. Recently their selection of Dessert wines and Sakehas gotten better. So for you aficionados, this is the place to be to satisfy your sweet tooth. If you're looking for a great deal and are not a snobby drinker, try the Gina wines. They are a great deal and are decently rated in a wide variety of grape varietals. My favorites are the Gina Merlot and Cabernet. As for something sweet, try the most recent Dolce or Mondavi Moscato d'oro. Not much as far as Late Harvest Rieslings, but they have a lot of more expensive Ice Wines. Cheers! read more

This BevMo is awesome. It always comes through. They even carry the specialty, flavored vodkas that I see on tv & want to try out. *Found Pinnacle Whipped Vodka here. It's a whipped cream flavored vodka that is delish! It makes the drinks taste just like Creamsicles from when you were a kid. Used to come here during college times, and when they had their 1cent wine sales. Came back recently to look for a gift for a friend ; left rather disappointed. WHY? I was disappointed by their selection of glasses as well as their prices for the alcohol. Just because it's a "specialty" or "Gimmicky" store doesn't give them the right to OVERCHARGE us. Wines were $3-5 more than wineries themselves, or the grocery stores not too far away. And... I was also looking at Libbey Champagne glasses and it was $24.99 for a set of 4. I was appalled at the pricing, and walked over to Bed Bath & beyond (a 5 minute walk in the same strip mall) and found the same exact thing for $9.99 for a set of 4. Bed Bath & Beyond even let me use my expired 20% off coupon and helped me gift wrap it for free. I will be forever grateful for BBB. and I am not very impressed by BevMo whatsoever. read more

Bevmo is awesome! Great selection and they almost always have some thing new. They have beers from all over the world. Plenty of choices of Bourbon and whiskey. The scotch selection could be a bit bigger. To many big names like johnny and not enough small batch scotch. Staff is very friendly and polite and most have a good knowledge of the alcohol. Place is kept clean and well stocked and well organized. My only complaint is that the prices are some what high. They aren't the most pricey place, but its still not the best price around. But I guess its a price I have to pay because a lot of the products they carry are very hard to find anywhere else. Other than that, Bevmo is a great place to go buy some alcohol. read more

I love BevMo!!!! This alcohol-filled warehouse has wine, beers, and liquors imported from all around the world! They don't limit themselves to the run-of-the-mill stock. I've found international items as well as my favorite champagne is sold here for 1/2 the winery's price (Wilson Creek Almond Champagne BTW)... They also have a "BevMo Club" card. There's no fee for registering and it will help in defraying the cost of all the alcohol you'll be spending. read more

I placed an order online for delivery. There was a box for 'delivery instructions' when I was checking out, so I put "leave on doorstep if no one is home." No where did BevMo inform me when I was checking out or when I received my confirmation email that 1) someone had to be home to accept the delivery, 2) to show an ID, and 3) that DoorDash is the service they use. DoorDash attempted to make the delivery but of course no one was home. The delivery guy then called me to say he needed an ID, so I asked if I could send him a photo of my ID. He said yes and we texted back and forth until he had what he needed. He even sent me a photo of where he left the package on the doorstep. 45 minutes later my phone is blowing up, saying that he went back to get the package and that he returned it to BevMo. He said the photo of my ID could not be used and he needed to see it. BevMo then canceled my order. I called BevMo and they said it is not their responsibility since it is DoorDash and their policy. Well, BevMo ... it is BevMo's responsibility to at least inform their customer that someone needs to be home with a valid ID! It is beyond comprehension how you just washed your hands of it and blamed it on DoorDash and their policy. It should be your policy to inform your customers who place the order via you! I will NEVER shop at BevMo again. read more

If I could put zero stars I would. I am pretty upset with the way they handled things. I ordered a keg two weeks ago because online it was out of stock. It said to call store to order. I called, placed my order for one 5 gallon keg. They said okay we will call you when it comes in. Didn't give me an estimate of when that would be. So I called them a week later asking if the keg came in. They checked the back, no keg. They said it usually comes in a week before. No problem. I called again, a week prior to when I needed to pick it up. They said it's not here, call back on Monday that's when we get shipments. Mind you that's 6 days prior to my event. I said okay fine. I called on Monday. They said no we don't get kegs on Monday, we get them on Wednesday. I told them it was making me nervous that they don't have the keg and have no idea if they will. They assured me it would come in. He said that they never not get an order that was placed. So I believed him. Why wouldn't I?! Here it is.... Wednesday. I went into the store and asked if they have received my keg. The girl went to the back to see if it was there. Came back saying we have no record of that keg order being placed. I'm speechless. Three days before my event. Super! I will never be purchasing from them again. I would rather drive to total wine and more before considering them again. Which btw total wine and more not only had the keg I wanted in stock but was super helpful at making sure he ordered a backup keg to be delivered in store just in case. So yeah. F BevMo. read more

Going to a party, need to bring the vino. Where do I go? Where's the closest grocery store? WAIT!! Where's the nearest BEVMO? Okay, so what can you say about a trip to one of my favorite stores? They have everything related to beverages, even snacks.They have a very nice selection of wines, which is what I went for. I was even lucky enough to show up and take advantage of their 5 cent sale. Buy one bottle and get the second for a nickel! You get a $20 bottle for $10 - but you have to buy two. So I found the three bottles I wanted - and grabbed a second bottle of each and was happy as a clam. The service at Bev Mo is always good. While you are perusing the aisles you always get asked if you are, "finding what you are looking for." When you get to the register on your way out they ask you again. The cashier was friendly and helpful and thanked me for my business. Now - the only reason I couldn't give them a five is because of their limited selection of chilled wines. They have only one refrigerator door allocated for chilled wines and half of that was "bubbly." I was looking for a Sauvignon Blanc - chilled and they only had one in there and it was not on the 5 cent special. So I had to take a Chardonnay chilled and chill the Sauv Blanc when I got to the party.
