Likely last time will be here, I really don't care for what I call an invasion of privacy. There was a sign clearly visible at the front informing us that we had to provide a valid state issued ID for purchase of anything alcoholic. There was no indication that my ID would be scanned into BevMo's computer system where they can get all sorts of information about me. I purchased Athletic Lite non alcoholic beer, which is clearly labeled as containing less than 0.5% alcohol. When asked cashier said they would require to scan ID even for potato chips sure to having a liquor license. There are plenty of other ways can get non alcoholic beer without this and will be doing that from now on. read more

I would avoid this place. On a busy Saturday there were 18 customers in line and only one checker with four employees behind the service desk. When i asked if they were going to add another checker the manager told me to go shop somewhere else. read more

Bev Mo is like the Fred Meyer of liquor stores. What's on your list today? You'll find it at Bev Mo. Beer? Check. Wine? Check. Mixers? Check. Barware? Check. Rolling Stones Vodka in a skull-shaped crystal bottle and kept under lock & key in the "pricey spirits" case? Check. Yes, B-Mo pretty much has it all. They're your one-stop shop for that big party, that romantic date, or that vow you've made to start making exotic cocktails in your spare time. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and they even have a growler fill area with the best prices in town (sorry, though, no tastes allowed). On Fridays they have a free wine/beer/cider tasting. And if you're getting married you can schedule a private tasting (they are super good about working within your wedding budget, too). My only beef is that their prices are high, especially on wine. Love BevMo for their selection, great service. Great store. However keg prices are ridiculous. I Was charged $99 for 7 gallons of Coors Light. HAD to buy a $60 tap, $45 deposit on the keg. Went to Glynns pub and instead got a 15 gallon keg of Coors light (twice as big) for $150. Tap rental $50 (of which I get $40 back) and keg deposit ($50, which I get back.). Twice as much beer. Same price basically, for twice the beer and I don't have to keep/buy a tap I'll probably never need again. And I got to shop LOCAL. read more

COVID-19 had me in need if adult beverages. However, I did not want exposure to too many people. Bevmo provided a way to get my specialty beverages online and then pick them up curbside. The website was easy to utilize and confirmed my purchase. I was notified quickly that my order was fulfilled. A quick drive to their location and produced my ID to verify that I was over 21 (LOL). Terrible service. Because my 11 &12 yo daughters touched two items at checkout they refused to allow me to make a purchase of non alcoholic beer, and low carb beer. The manager Brianna was extremely rude implying that I was either purchasing for minors or that they were stealing by saying, "they touched two items, and we just don't know what's going on here." Why would I bring minors into the store if I'm buying for them? Zero common sense was used here. Briana attempted to explain their policy that if minors touch items even with an adult present, a purchase can no longer be made! A completely nonsense policy that's also apparently false! I contacted the DM who gave me an apology, and stated that this was not their policy, Briana was incorrect in her incomprehension of their policy. I wonder if they would have accused someone of a different or lighter skin tone as well. Disgraceful. And FYI kids can touch things and an adult can still make a purchase. We were having so much fun planning our party and buying the supplies. The guy that waited on us was helpful. The next week, we went back to return the unused items. Ugh! Absolute nightmare! If you have left overs, EVEN WITH A RECEIPT, BevMo will NOT allow you to return anything. I went in without the receipt ( thought they could find the sale electronically with my debit card like every other retailer) and was told no-- so I went home to find it- and I called first to say I was coming, and they told me it was too late. When I reminded the sales person that I was there previously she got surly and rude. It was an expensive mistake shopping at BevMo! It's not worth the drive down to the end of the guide for this kind of treatment. I'm surprised they are still in business. Why would anyone want to go back after an experience like that? Not me! Next time, I will just go to Fred's or Haggen. They stock wine, beer and spirits --AND the customer service is exemplary. read more

If you've never been to a BevMo! ("Beverages & More") you'll be loving this little Disneyland of bevvies. The variety is really amazing. There is every kind of libation imaginable plus all the accouterments that go along with them. If you're throwing a party, you might want to make this your first stop and it might be your only stop. This is their opening weekend (April 13th 2013) so there is wine tastings and snack sampling. The prices are comparable for the most part but we did find some of the same products at TJ's for 1.50 less. The beauty of BevMo! lies in having everything under one roof. Also, the variety of gluten free beer is pretty impressive in itself and we'll definitely be returning when we have more than 12 below the 49th. read more

I've been a fan of BevMo for several years counting and with the covid-19 pandemic decided to take advantage of the curbside pickup. I won't do it again. The guy stuck his head into our car. No mask. No gloves. We were so anxious to leave we didn't notice that our order was incorrectly filled. Local breweries and cideries are doing a good job. BevMo is not. As a store: The store basically has everything. For the typical to the seasonal. The employees: I've been in there probably 15 times and it bothers me is that no matter if the store has quite a few customers or not, I always walk in and there's a cluster of employees gossiping and playing on their phones. It's rude and off putting. I also find most of them knowledge-less about their products. I'm not an alcoholic, but this place could very well turn me into one. I ended up here in a roundabout way, in search of a gin that I failed to pick-up for a friend in San Francisco recently. We returned to Vancouver from Frisco by way of B'ham and a family friend recommended we take a look at this liquor superstore. I can understand why this Behemoth may be a turn-off for some people, and I do find it more satisfying to fill my growler at a craft brewery than at a corporate entity, but BevMo! is a great resource if you are looking for something specific...especially if you live just over the border. This is the best BevMo I've been to. Loren is very knowledgeable and exceptionally helpful. Recently, I had foot surgery and am not able to get around very well. I had a large order of alcohol to purchase and was wondering if I was going to have to trust my husband to do the shopping. Instead I called the store and gave Loren my order. Not only was he more than happy to take it over the phone but also was able to tell me about some specials they were running and provided me with some great recommendations. I just had a very disappointing experience at bevmo in Bellingham on 1/15/19 at 2:20pm. I only needed a bottle of champagne and quickly got to the register. The cashier greeted me with a curt "let me see your id." I obliged and she checked me through. When it came time to check out I had some trouble locating my card in my wallet and began To feel bad for those in line behind me. I asked the cashier if she could skip over me and void the transaction while I try to find my card. She said "uhhh... the transaction is already started" and gave the person behind me in line a "are you seeing this shit" look. I apologized, located my card and finished the transaction. The cashier hovered between standoffish and rude the entire time and left me feeling very uncomfortable. I own a corporate events company. I shop at BevMo fairly often for various clients/events etc. they are great. But what I really appreciate is that they are great when I am there for clients with unlimited budgets and fancy tastes but equally helpful and accommodating when I come in looking for killer deals for events that have crazy tight budgets (looking at you my lovely non profit auction ppl!) Loren and Maria and the team are always very helpful, they really do have excellent deals on some high quality wines. They occasionally can't fulfill the most esoteric requests but they always try and their customer service is really key to my continued patronage. That makes all the difference and I know it is a huge company and they don't "have" to be so helpful to make a profit but they are and really honestly their absolute can do attitude when I am on deadline is fabulous. read more

The beer selection here is amazing. There wasn't anything on our list to try that we weren't able to find. The customer service person was also very helpful when we had questions about when certain seasonal beers were usually released. If you were planning a large event, this would be a great place to stock up on a variety of good beers. We will definitely be going back. read more

I have never in my life been so disappointed with customer service. I walked into the store with my mother in search of some wine. Upon approaching the register, the young gentleman manning said register asked to see my ID. I was not purchasing the wine, my mother was. Being located near a university, I understood that he was asking for legal reasons but as this was not our first purchase at this particular BevMo! it was jarring to be asked for my ID - something that had never occurred before tonight. After I had refused (as I did not have my license on me, because I again, was not the one purchasing alcoholic beverages) and the sale continued, my mother was asked if she would like a receipt to which she said no and the employee responded (and I quote) "No evidence, got it," as if my mother purchasing wine at a BevMo! that we frequent was somehow participating in a shady, illegal deal. As I have said, I have never been more disappointed nor have I seen my mother so embarrassed or frustrated by any establishment's customer service. What an awful way to end Mother's Day.
