We really like the service here. Always super friendly to us and our Caesar. Thank you for caring the heavy bag

This review is based on the hours of operations Opening a place of business that has necessity at 10 am is extremely late. I can't believe in 2021 a pet store is open at 10am. I was waiting at home and giving them to 9 am. I get here at 945 thinking I can run in and out and I have to wait an additional 15 minutes. Now I know for sure I have to find another place or use Amazon be because I can't come here for emergencies during regular normal working hours. Updated.. The service abs prices are good. They just need to open earlier

One of my teenage boys favorite places! Beverly's might be the biggest pet store in the area. They have a huge selection of pet supplies and foods at discount prices. Like Other pet stores, they have a frequent feeder program available (buy 10 bags of food, get 1 free). Beverly's also has a large selection of animals including birds, reptiles, rabbits, and more. What Beverly's really specializes in though is fish. Beverly's sells both fresh water and salt water fish, plus anything you would need to set up an aquarium. The staff is experienced with aquariums and can give expert advice. If you need more than advice in the store however, Beverly's also provides aquarium service! They will come to your house for new tank installations and full tank maintenance. My teenagers maintain their own tanks but every now and then the tanks have had issues and the folks at Beverly's have been lifesavers! If you want a new aquarium or help maintaining g your current aquarium, Beverly's is the place to go.

i come from a corporate background 27 years and have ran 25 store all over the US, Integrity to me is EVERYTHING. Farhers day my husband visited lBeverlys pet store with his besty passing time while i had to work in Miami all day . I came home and my husband one of the nicest most humble selfless men i know fell in love with a puppy at Beverley's. The employee quoted him 400 dollar price for a very expensive dog bc she apparently needed sugery for a double hernia. Because of his heart and compassion he agreed to get her. when it was time to cash out a hispanic young guy appeared and made a big deal that he was the manager and now she was 500 after all the girls ( working( convinced him the puppy needed him to take care of her and get her for 400 dollars . My husband felt insulted with the demeanor and bad business practice he was demonstrating . He refused to honor the price originally qouted. It was more important for him to be right than to do right. When i got home my husband explained all this and with my experience in years of management felt it was a misunderstanding. i called and spoke with a lovely lady named Margery and she recollected the incident . She said the price was 400 and the manager should be ok so i sent him back up again! About 50 minutes later he came back with no dog!!! Just to avoid the back and fourth i went up there entered and asked to speak to store manager and Mardgery together for clearing to avoid any he said she said. He refused to have her be in this requested by me meet ing. stating she was busy . I explained my side and my concerns and he basically called my husband a liar. Well after 3 trips 20 minutes away which is totally uncalled for . i was angry by him calling my husband a liar especially when i know hes an exceptional man with great core values ( i've know him since 5) . i became agitated. after he said my husband was lying and i told him this was more about his pride and this was F ing not necessary nor fair. Yes i did use the f word and offered to give him the extra 100 for her to get puppy ready and he said he was no longer going to sell to me and for me to leave his store. I asked for corporate , district , or regional number to resolve this another way he was arrogant and just had to be right. It wasn't no longer about a sick puppy that needed medical attention or to do what's right he had to be right. He called the police to try to have me removed and they couldn't be bothered bc there wasn't an incident just a young hard headed know it all in charge with no heart or honor. At the tail end when i realized it just waant happening and i was wasting my time i chose to leave and a tall elder man jumped in the situation KNOWING NOTHING and started ordering me to leave that he is a retired police officer . Well im retired also from county as well so now we have a retired police officer wanting to have a pissing contest with me outside. He was talking to dispatch outsude the two front doors while i was going to my vehicle HE (apparently frequent customer) was yelling don't touch me , back up , don't touch me and i was literally at my car. He was trying to stir up a ruckus so PD would show up thinking he was being threatened. Now mind you I'm 411 almost 60 years old and he's like 6ft 5 and I am at least 500 ft feet away from hiim.! Im by far an angel of any means but I'm a good person and I have never been so appalled . I spoke my mind to this guy when he was outside being a fool but i continued to leave. i spoke with the officer that called me on my way home and he was very sympathetic and kind and he also gave me some ideas on how to follow up on this situation. This should never have escalated not even a little . We are talking about a pet store supposedly private owner selling sick animals and yet more concerned about being right than the welfare of the animal and not honoring their price, we all know veterinarians are extremely expensive and a double hernia surgery would not be cheap. The animals best interest should always be top priority no matter what. It is a shame that someone let their ego get in the way of a wonderful man's Father's Day and a sick dogs Destiny so very sad. My husband spoke with another manager today and she told them they have me on camera and are going to expose me to being a racist if he doesn't take down his bad review . This Is the icing on the cake fo me?! lol i have an international family and my husband is African-American. Let's see how this plays out. I cannot believe I live in a society with these type of people in it. It's all getting to be too much. I wouldn't EVER EVER recommend this place to anyone and those poor animals are under the care of a store lead with no compassion or honor. So very SAD

I went to Beverly's pet center to check up on reptiles and saw these two adult bearded dragons housed together. I was told they have been raised together since babies. Yet they were selling them separately for ~$250 each! Mind you, the tank was probably about 40lbs -that's the minimum size for a single adult dragon! Please, buyers, beware!!!

This place is awesome. It's large and has almost everything you could possibly need for any pet, and it's the only place locally I have been able to find live mice for my pet snake. The customer service is also always a plus.

If you are thinking of going to Petland Pembroke Pines to purchase a dog. I encourage you to read…read morethis post. It will take you a few minutes, but might not regret reading what we are dealing with by purchasing a sick puppy from Petland Pembroke Pines. Petland Pembroke Pines sold us a sick puppy. Within TWO days of purchasing the puppy, we took him to the vet for a wellness check; he was diagnosed with parasite, ear infection, found to be underweight, and excessive coughing. Petland of Pembroke Pines states they provided a heath certificate which indicates the puppy was fit for sale. When purchased on 12/20/2025 health certificate provided was dated 12/11/2025. This means the puppy was under Petland Pembroke Pines for eight days prior to us purchasing. Furthermore, Petland Pembroke Pines says and I quote "Licensed, independent veterinarian visits the store weekly to examine their puppies " if these puppies are health checked weekly as Petland Pembroke Pines replied to my complaint, I'm sure these licensed independent veterinarian provide the store with a health certificate indicating health conditions. I asked Petland Pembroke Pines to provide us with health certificate for the puppy between dates 12/11 - 12/19 for the 8 days under their care. Petland Pembroke Pines have never send such health certificate. I submitted complaint with BBB, FDACS, Humane World for Animals. Petland Pembroke Pines' rest to my complaint on BBB is that i'm being hostile towards them. I give my permission or will sign and document giving the right to Petland Pembroke Pines to make public my emails and show where at any point I'm being hostile! We paid lots of money for the puppy; we never expected the puppy's health to be in such poor condition as the veterinarian found him to be. Obviously, I'm upset (with reason) how much Petland Pembroke Pines charged to sell us a sick puppy. Since veterinarian diagnostic, my wife, 4-year-old daughter and I had been enduring personal and emotional distress due to Petland selling customers like me who believed them to be reputable pet stores to find out they sell puppies from puppy mills as indicated by an investigation from Humane World for Animals. Below reply to my complaint submitted to Humane World of Animal "Unfortunately, Petland is particularly notorious for selling sick puppies from puppy mills. See our numerous Petland investigations here: www.humaneworld.org/petland I advised Petland Pembroke Pines on Humane World of Animals investigation. Their response to me was; all Petland's are independently owned, and investigation does not mention Pembroke Pines location. Just like any other independently owned franchise, all Petland's operate under the Petland brand. When submitting my complaint to Humane World for Animal s, I specifically mentioned the Pembroke Pines location. Their reply was a link to investigation on Petland. As mentioned, my family, especially my 4-year-old daughter have been dealing with this situation since purchasing the puppy on December 20th, 2025. It was our gift to our daughter. Based on provided report www.humaneworld.org/petland ; Petland is the largest retailer of puppy mill dogs, and while the company claims their puppies come only from reputable breeders and are in good health, Humane World for Animals prove otherwise. I urged you to visit this website www.humaneworld.org/petland before going into one of these Petland locations. In my case there is nothing I can due about my situation, we just must deal with it and continue spending a lot of money trying to get our puppy in good health. I hope I can help someone else not go through my personal experience with Petland Pembroke Pines

At Breeder Luis Gonzalez's location a puppy was found "lethargic and cold to the touch," another dog was underweight with his ribs and spine showing; the facility had over 500 dogs." I am beyond outraged by the inhumane and negligent treatment of these animals at Forever Love Puppies in Pembroke Park. We purchased two puppies: a 3-month-old Chihuahua and a 2-month-old Pomeranian. They came home sick. No family should ever experience the fear and financial burden of bringing home a puppy only to find out it is already ill. The so-called "complimentary" veterinary visit that this store "gifts" buyers to use is completely misleading. Our puppies were never examined by a veterinarian, yet we were assured by a staff assistant that they were "perfect" without any tests or physical examination. Side note on this fraud of a clinic: When I walked out of the examination room, there was a dead dog on the bench next to a lady in the waiting room. Such a level of unprofessionalism or disrespect is unbelievable. The attendant called someone to "come get the body". Didn't offer a room for the lady to grieve and choose the urn made her pay and choose in front of everyone with her dead dog on the bench behind her. Days later, our Chihuahua puppy ended up in the emergency room severely dehydrated with signs of Ataxia, a neurological symptom. The result? Over $1,200 in emergency veterinary bills and weeks of emotional distress, all of which could have been avoided with proper care and honest medical screening. We were told that a simple fecal test would have immediately detected Giardia. That basic test was never performed, even though the paperwork states otherwise. We took our boys to our private veterinarian, and both were diagnosed with Giardia. Even more disturbing is the breeder listed on our paperwork. A quick search reveals serious public concerns tied to this breeder. When we looked up the address ourselves using publicly available satellite imagery, the location appears to be a barn-like structure with no visible evidence of adequate shelter or proper housing facilities. At the time, temperatures were around 32 degrees. The thought of vulnerable puppies being housed and possibly transported in those conditions is horrifying. The fact that this store continues to source from breeders surrounded by red flags demonstrates either a shocking lack of due diligence or a complete disregard for animal welfare and consumer protection. There is also a publicly available news report involving the owner's son, Larry Master, which every potential buyer should watch before considering a purchase. Reports and documentation show that puppies are transported in freezing temperatures, with hundreds crammed into trucks and distributed to pet stores across the country. These are living, breathing animals, not merchandise, not inventory, not commodities. This entire experience was irresponsible, unethical, and deeply disturbing. If you care about animal welfare, please do your research. Seek out truly reputable, transparent breeders or consider adoption. No puppy deserves to suffer for the sake of profit, and no family deserves to bring home heartbreak instead of joy. https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/lawsuits-forever-love-puppies-accused-of-selling-sick-dogs-11711531/

PETCO vs PET SUPERMARKET…read more Big difference immediately between the two pet stores. The Pet Supermarket felt exactly like the name, a big nothing unique pet store with several aisles of various inventory. The Petco surprisingly had many sections that mimicked an amusement park theme providing a pet shopping adventure instead of a common pet store. Upon entry they had a small carriage full of custom doggy treats for sale in a variety of flavors. In addition to endless bundles of dry food including a cooler loaded with gourmet healthy option called Just For Dogs and Just For Cats, but be prepared to pay the piper from $10.99 - $44.95. The flavors vary including Venison Squash and Turkey & Whole Wheat Macaroni. The Petco Zoo was my favorite section with live rabbits, hamsters, ferrets and fish amonst many other pet options. The prices at Petco seem to be in line with other retail pet stores who continue to deal with the behemoth Amazon at every turn. Fortunately, this store provided a fun shopping experience which Amazon cannot. They offer a Vetco total care veterinary hospital for your pet's health needs. In addition, this store provides a full service grooming area that includes washing, nails, and tick care. Also, cats are available in store for adoption and dog adoptions from a Hollywood location called We Love Animals Rescue Inc.

The second time I went to purchase a cat, I noticed they were all in their own cages, and I asked if they are are always like that and they said they only let one out at a time for about 30 minutes. A few weeks ago, I bought my second bengal from here. They said she had a bad reaction to her vaccine so I couldn't pick her up because they needed to monitor her. That was on March 1st, I ended up picking her up 11 days later and she was still throwing up and having diarrhea so I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with FIP coronavirus and Giardia. I told them that she is still sick and I have Another cat at home. I took her to the vet because she was extremely sick and they told me that it was my fault and it could possibly be a toxic plant. I had at home even though I have a healthy cat at home And they admitted to me that she was not feeling well after her vaccines. It turns out it was not for reaction to her vaccines. It was Giardia FIP and coronavirus. I have been spending $3000 on a cat. I immediately got hit with a $1200 vet bill and a sick kitten that I had to nerve back to life. She was on medicine three times a day and she was extremely underweight. It was extremely stressful. I also found out that they put the kittens in cargo and shipped them from Ukraine, which I think is extremely unethical. Most animal foundations do not let their animals go into cargo cause it is extremely unsafe for them. I wish they would've just given me her from the beginning and I would've helped her get better soon sooner rather than letting her sit in a cage sick for weeks. They won't help with the vet bill. They're putting the blame on me. Even though I could tell something was up with seeing how all of the cats were separated all of a sudden And they admitted that she was not feeling well. They said she has a housemate at the time and I'm really hoping they took her to the vet. When I went to go meet her the first time they didn't let me pick her up because she was feeling unwell and they've had to wash diarrhea off of her. She's five months old and 4 pounds. The vet that "cleared" her didn't document her weight on her health certificate and did not mark her as underweight even though I called them and she was only 1.9 pounds. I'm not sure how they even were able to get her neutered When the requirement for neutering a kitten is 2 pounds. This place is extremely unethical and they will gaslight you saying that the sick kitten is your problem because they don't wanna pay for it and they need to be shut down immediately.
