    Nice neighborhood pet shop with Owners that really care.ive purchased tissue cultures for aqus landscape and they really have done well.

    Did this happen to anyone else: when I released a fish I bought into my tank, there were little white particle on the bottom, does anyone know what this might be?

    It's probably poop if not maybe it's from the water if you didn't use a net and you poured the water from the bag into the tank you might of poured the substrate from the stores tank into your tank.

    This corporate Pet Supermarket in Davie FL had a large front parking lot and two employees cleaning…read morethe windows and the front sidewalk upon approaching the front doors. Immediately thought that this store was managed properly. The interior was spaced out well with the big dog baths off to the side wall. I spoke with the guinea pigs, rabbits and birds like a whisperer. They heard me but they never said anything back. Lots of pet toys and accessories including pet carriers and push strollers. Huge aisles full of doggy feed. Watched the employee feeding the fish against the real wall - I think he was jamming out to some rock n' roll tunes through his ear buds.     I love this pet supermarket and i come all the time because it's so close to me, but today i had a…read moreless than ideal experience with alecia. i purchased 5 mollys and 10 ghost shrimp and while she was trying to get the mollys out of the tank, she joked about the fact that she squished one against the back corner, saying he "seems fine". while she was bagging them, rather than spin the top to twist it, she spun the FISH with a... rather forceful rotation. that seemed to be her approach to all fish bagging. she asked if i had plans for valentine's day, and after i gave a short and simple answer she launched into a tangent about her personal life, her friends, her cheating ex going back to THEIR cheating ex, etc etc etc, and honestly it wouldn't have been that bad if she worked while she talked, but she would pause what she was doing, monologue for several uncomfortable minutes (please remember- i have never met this person in my life), and then go back to catching shrimp. i was hoping for a few pregnant shrimp, and i got two that were heavily pregnant, but while transferring them from the little box into the bag, she dropped one of my big pregnant beauties and had some difficulty scraping her off the floor, and it was dismissed with another "she seems fine". all and all i will be coming back, but i will be actively avoiding alecia as the whole experience was just so awkward and uncomfortable. i like my fish though!

His positive attitude and knowledge truly stood out. Unfortunately, a distressing situation that followed my visit has deeply affected my experience with your store. I purchased a Golden Dojo Loach, which died less than 24 hours later. Shortly after introducing it to my tank, my betta fish--who I had gotten on Father's Day and had cared for over the past two months--began to show signs of illness. This fish held deep sentimental value for me, as I got it shortly after the tragic passing of my father in a car accident. As a veterinary technician working in the exotic animal field, I was quick to recognize the symptoms and took immediate steps to quarantine the affected fish. I later learned that all of the Dojo Loaches at your store had also died, confirming that the fish I purchased was infected and introduced illness into my aquarium. This was not the result of negligence on my part--I maintain a clean and well-monitored tank. The source of the infection was the fish your store sold me. When I reached out to explain the situation and express my distress, I was met not only with a dismissive response--"It is what it is"--but also with laughter, as though the situation were humorous. I found this response deeply unprofessional and frankly hurtful, especially considering the emotional context and the effort I've put into caring for my animals. I had to spend $96 on medication to try to save the remaining fish in my tank--treatment that should never have been necessary. I did not infect my tank; your store did, and yet I was left to bear the financial burden. As someone who works in the veterinary field, I fully understand that animal loss can and does happen. What made this situation so disappointing was not the loss itself, but the careless and unempathetic way it was handled. The lack of accountability and professionalism, combined with the visibly poor conditions in your store, left me extremely concerned. I'm sharing this feedback in hopes that it leads to positive change. I urge you to take a closer look at your store's health practices and customer care policies to prevent similar situations from happening in the future.

    I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the grooming service I recently received for my…read morepuppy. First, I was initially informed that the service would cost $115, which is already quite expensive. However, I was later charged additional fees, including gas charges, which were never clearly explained beforehand. My previous grooming service did not include such fees and was much more reasonable, the reason I wanted to use your service is because the ideal of the webcam. Secondly, the camera setup was unnecessarily complicated, making it difficult to monitor the service. I ended up using FaceTime instead, which worked without issue. During the appointment, the groomer (Paula/Paola) spent less than 45 minutes in total, and I personally observed that the actual cleaning of my puppy's teeth took less than a minute. While on FaceTime, she appeared uncomfortable and complained about the smell of the toothpaste, which was concerning. Additionally, I requested nail trimming, but this was not properly completed, as my puppy later scratched me with overly long nails. The entire service lasted approximately 27 minutes, which does not justify the price charged. Most concerning was the safety issue at pickup. My puppy was not properly secured and jumped off the grooming table, exiting the van. This could have resulted in a serious accident, such as being hit by a car. When I brought this to the groomer's attention, her response was that "they know to go back to their house," which I find extremely irresponsible and unacceptable. Overall, this experience was disappointing, unprofessional, and unsafe. I regret using your service and would like an explanation regarding the charges, as well as how you plan to address these concerns moving forward.

My one and a half year old Basset Hound Winston needed new kibble so I called 'em up -- and am I glad I did! Carlos was kind, knowledgable and genuine about telling me the pros of the food they carried and what would be best for my little man. You can tell that Urban Pets prides itself on carrying quality product + forming happy connections with their customers and our fur-babies. We went with Orijen brand dry dog food, which Carlos explained had much more benefits and nutrients than Winnies old stuff, some treats, and a fun new (indestructible) dog toy called a Monster Mouth (which Winston LOVES!) Fun fact: they even stopped by the grocery store on their way to deliver our order for pumpkin puree to mix into Winston's new food so it would be easier on his tummy. I mean, talk about 5-star customer service! Urban Pets is now my go-to whenever I need something for my sweet pupper. I simply call them up and they already know what we need and have it delivered same-day. Oh! And did I mention that they beat any price/price-match Chewy? Offer curbside pickup and FREE DELIVERY? Because they do!
