I've taken my dogs for grooming for over 3+ years, and never had to leave them for more than 4+ hours. I had to call at hour 5 worried about whats going on to them finally responding hes ready. Horrible haircut. Meaning, patches all over his legs. Didn't smell groomed. Had major anxiety which he does not suffer from. And his groomer only had complaints and seemed annoyed that he was too nervous and wouldn't stop moving. He's a dog.... Never going back. Came to this location for the puppy training class. The class itself was in the aisles of the store which was odd. We did learn a few tricks, but our puppy had already learned the basics. So this class is really for new baby puppies, not almost 1 year olds lol. read more

I came here to buy some dog toys foe neighbor's good girl. She is so fun and I really enjoy seeing her on walks so I decided to surprise her and her Dog Dad. I looked through the toy section and I had a whole lot to choose from. They have so many styles and types of toys..I was there probably half an hour just deciding what to get her. I finally decided on some chew toys and some squishy ones. You can get lost in this store. There is so much to look at. I also peeked in at a dog training class. I always have a good experience at this PetSmart. The isles are wide. The store is clean, and well stocked. I'm pretty basic when it home to my wt supplies. I pick up food and occasionally a new collar or a leash. The staff are helpful and they have walked me through how to use the dog tag machine. It's nice to know that they don't mind taking the extra time. Somehow there is hardly ever a wait to check out. That makes it convenient to stop in for just one or two items. read more

If you're looking for pet food, toys, bedding, literally any kind of pet supplies, chances are you'll find it at PetSmart. They also sell fish, birds and assorted reptiles as well. You can actually spend a nice amount of time looking at the pets they carry here. If you go here, don't forget to look at the adoption center where sometimes they have kittens or cats for adoption. During Halloween they also sell some really cute costumes for dogs and cats. At Christmas and Easter you can bring your pets here to have pictures taken with Santa and the Easter Bunny. The only negative is that some of the items they carry here can be a bit on the expensive side so keep that in mind. In the past I've used both the grooming and the vet services and I have nothing but positive feedback for their services. The employees here are always very helpful and friendly. read more

We visited this location to take pictures with Santa for our little munchkin. This was our first time at this location. It seems like each Christmas, we visit a new location for Santa pictures. We also needed to find a good harness because our baby has a bad back and the one we purchased years ago does not work-she is like Houdini and gets out of it every time. This store is massive. Usually for Santa pictures, there are signs leading the way but not this time. I was just listening for a lot of barking and looked for the crowd. The Santa line was all the way in the back of the store. I have never seen so many people and dogs on line for pictures before! We found the end of the line and waited. There were at least 15 people and dogs ahead of us! While we were waiting, I went looking for harnesses for the munchkin and brought them back to the line to see which one fit best. I found one, which we still have and is in great condition. We probably waited on line about 45 minutes to see Santa. This was not the best Santa but from my experiences, it seems like it is 50/50 with the staff dressing as Santa. Some are joyful and others act as if it's a horrible chore. When we were finally done, we walked around and let munchkin pick out toys and treats. She gets overwhelmed in pet stores so she struggles to focus! We picked out some things and checked out. For the most part, the store was well stocked and neat. The check out process took longer than expected as well. It was definitely a mission and I think we may try a different location for Santa pictures next time. read more

HORRIBLE! I took my dog last Saturday, Jan 4th early morning. Gina was the groomer she did an awful job on my dog. He got one pump on his testicle as a result of the razor machine. I noticed one of his legs was not trimmed right, apparently this woman was chatting too much and she wasn't paying attention of what she was doing that one part of my dog's leg was trimmed so low than the rest. I found this PetSmart as the ultimate last minute shopping for a Birthday "Paw"ty / Yorkie meetup my Luna was invited to nearby. For one, this store is in a strip mall with free parking. That's always a plus! The store layout itself was pretty spacious and there was a large toy aisle. They have them pretty well organized for pup sizes and play style, as well as for cattos. Heck, they even have an "Emergency Toys" aisle built extra tough for police dogs (mostly German Shepherd size Kong's). There's also a decent variety of dog food available. However, I didn't see that many doggie clothes in the store. Lines at the cash register moved pretty fast, and the cashier who attended me was super pleasant (and of course a pet parent herself.) Believe the horror stories. I dropped off my dog the day before her birthday to get groomed. It was supposed to be a positive experience and it turned out to be a nightmare. A few minutes after dropping her off, they called to notify that they had clipped her paw pad by mistake and took her to the vet next door to get it checked out but "it wasn't that bad". When I went next door, we asked if we could go inside to see her and they said no because the vet was working on her. There was so much confusion and miscommunication between the guys at the front desk who didn't seem like they knew what was going on and the people in the back. The lady from the groomers barely showed any empathy about what happened, all I got was an ungenuine "sorry" and just acted like it was not a big deal. My dog walked in to Petsmart to get groomed for her birthday, and was carried out of there with a bandaged paw and several medications for pain, inflammation and antibiotics. There have been so many horror stories about this place but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and that was my mistake. I feel lucky that at least my dog is alive but I definitely learned my lesson and will never bring my dog here to get groomed ever again. It's like a factory, with so many dogs coming in and out on the daily that they're now lacking the proper care and empathy required to properly handle these beings. I had plans to take my dog out and have fun for her birthday but this has now been completely ruined thanks to Petsmart and their grooming staff. My pup is now spending her special day laying on her bed, in pain, taking medications with a bandaged paw courtesy of Pembroke Pines Petsmart. TL;DR I deeply love and care for my dog, if you feel the same about your pet, I cannot stress this enough, stay away from this place and research a better option. There are plenty. read more

Management here must be doing a good job hiring employees because the employees are always so knowledgeable and proactive in helping this first-time dog owner. I take my golden retriever to their grooming department because of their competitive pricing and convenience. I'm rating this location four stars only because on several occasions, their check-out lines have reached the back of the store, and for anyone that's been to this location, you'd know this is a pretty massive store! Usually, they'll only have two to three registers available when they have over five registers available! This becomes an issue for people that are looking to make a small purchase but run the risk of waiting in a never-ending check-out line. I almost went home with animal poop on my shoe had it not been for the yelp I heard coming from hubby's mouth. The horror, lol. I was walking along, minding the reason why I came and right there, in the middle of the aisle was, yeah you guessed it. And, after that I started seeing it everywhere which made it an interesting visit that included me playing hopscotch down the aisles. Other than that I really enjoy shopping for my cats needs here. When you place an order on line rather than not letting you order the item, they allow you to order it, pay for it then send you an email telling you it's not available with NO WAY to amend the order. Even if you call the customer service number in these instances, they will do nothing but apologize. What good is an apology when you've placed an order for 10 toys (buy 3, get 2 free) & they can only provide you with 7? No attempt to extend the sale offer. They should honor what they advertise. Absolute worst grooming experience in my life. I wish I had the name of the groomer that took care of my dogs. Older woman with short red hair had a bad attitude from the moment I got there. Took one look at my dogs and said that she will be shaving them down completely. I told her no and to just brush out the knots at the top of their heads. She proceeded to tell me that she would be charging me $1,000 to brush out my dogs hair. I should have known better and left without the service but hindsight is always 20/20. 5 hours go by and I don't receive any calls telling me that my dogs were ready so I showed up. When I picked up my dogs they were shaven all the way down to the skin with bald spots and long patches. They both came out crying and screaming. One of my dogs was cut and bleeding from both of her ears. Jose yelled at me and told me that I signed the paperwork which apparently gives them permission to do whatever they want to our pets. I then took both of my dogs to the vet to be looked at and both are now on antibiotics and ointments from what she had done to them while she groomed them. read more

If I could give this location negative stars, I would! I made an appointment for my dog Lucy to get groomed & her nails trimmed. While I was waiting for my turn to go inside the grooming salon, one of the workers, Aerin, had changed the appointment to just a bath & brush, without my consent. Then tried to tell me that I was mistaken & the computer was right. After I showed the confirmation email, the groomer, Natacha, came out & began to give me every excuse in the book about not being able to groom Lucy. She said that Lucy does not have enough hair to be buzzed & that dogs with short coats do not get groomed (which I know is a lie). Then she proceeded to tell me that she can't even trim her nails. She then said that since Lucy can get anxious, she basically can't do anything for her. Majority of dogs get anxious about grooming, this isn't a secret. They both came off as just plain lazy & not wanting to deal with a dog that is almost 45 pounds. By this point, I was already frustrated & had told Natacha that we had given Lucy anti anxiety medication prior to coming to the appointment. She replied that they can't take her because it's in their fine print. Which was never made available to me at all. Natacha came off as extremely unknowledgeable about everything related to dog grooming & just plain lazy. This experience left the most sour taste in my mouth. I'm happy I didn't leave Lucy with her, because she probably would've hurt her or not done anything at all. I'm never going back to this location ever again. I have been bringing my dog here for grooming for five (5) years. Today, I arrive for my scheduled appointment and told that they might not provide grooming services because she has a heart murmur. She has had the murmur for several years. This information was communicated after I arrived. It appears they have changed their policy. If the heart murmur is a level three (3) or above, they cannot provide grooming services. Unfortunately, it is a level four (4). It would have been nice if this information was communicated before I made the 20 minute drive. Very poor coomunicaton! Very disappointed! read more
