I only wish I could remember the story of the name Turkey that I put in my first review of the place, which I overheard on m initial visit here. Located on Walden Parkway, it's part of a small strip of shops here. They have mostly children's items, like toys, clothing, and so on. There's also a selection of jewelry, cards, and candles/home fragrance as well. Service has been friendly when I've been in. This time when I was in I purchased a small doll that I thought would be cute for my little one. Parking doesn't really exist much RIGHT here. There are about five parallel spaces directly in front of the strip of shops along this stretch of Walden Parkway. However, it's right next to the 99th Street Metra station; the station house is on one end, and the parking lot/platform is on the other side. But there's parking on the surrounding streets.

You know in the old days department stores gave you free gifts and samples but those are pricey and dwindling. My bottles at home dwindling and some old.... so on a shopping trip to Ross. I stood there looking up every scent in Google to see what it smells like. Google will tell you main scent, middle scent and underlying scent and if it lingers. It took me about 35 minutes to work my way around the shelf and they were all sealed and the real deal..not watered down. Senorita another great one. Perry Ellis 18 the bomb! Guess and many other great colognes all with my hints if sandalwood and lavender. I bought 12 bottles for about $150. Some pricier than others and beautiful bottles. They are all the lingering designer scents that are not cheap in department stores. It was a geek moment for me and I took those treasured bottles home that look like jewels on my dresser. That first spray and you know...it's a winner! The store is not heavily stocked, a mish mash of home items, broken and damaged furniture they will take another 10% off sales girl said, nice rugs, kitchen stuff, clothing ok, some items look worn. I go there mostly for home goods, pet supplies and other non essentials at good prices. You have to hit it just right to get the good stuff and I will have to ask what day the truck comes in for the future.

This place seemed like the largest of the businesses in Church 103--once a Lutheran church, now a variety of local businesses. The name is a nod to place--Haven for the sanctuary, and 1890 for the incorporation of Beverly Hills (Beverly's formal name). Their space is gorgeous, with the centerpiece being the glass window on the south wall. They have some lovely things here, and a great variety. I came in near St. Patrick's Day and since it's on the Southside you'd think a Leprechaun threw up in here! Lots of fun seasonal items, but also everyday art, Chicago-themed gear, stationery items, baby toys/clothes/things, household items, and a lot more. Service was friendly. I believe there's parking in the lot, but I also easily found parking on 103rd.
