I asked to speak to a manager. I was told in no uncertain terms; the District and Regional Managers do not talk to customers. The owner does not talk to customers. If you have a problem their phone person is it, whether the issue is addressed or not. Strange way to run a business. I did some research and called the President of Weedman in Orono, Ontario and spoke to the CEO. I shared that her franchisees refused to speak to customers to deal with concerns. The next day I got phone calls. The Regional and District Managers visited my home. They were cordial and appeared knowledgeable. I understood future applications would be adjusted. This year I learned that Weedman would not be continuing our services. We are virtually "red flagged", I guess for contacting corporate and tattling on their customer service. The phone person that shared this said their Regional person would contact me. Of course, "crickets". Recall, they don't talk to customers. I prefer to do business with customer-oriented organizations versus those who's management isolates themselves from pesky customers. It would appear to indicate they do not value customers enough to address concerns.

Explained to them our lawn was covered with creeping Charlie, some dandelions and now some thistle which we were attempting to manage with continual weed pulling. Was sold an annual plan for lawn growth and weed control with add on services- aerating the lawn and some booster. We did get a late lawn growth and one weed application in May. After 2 hot Summer months of no new services/weed applications and the weeds thriving, I began receiving repeated calls at work for grub control- we don't have grubs and requested help with the weeds. Calls continued for additional services which they were very slick to just mention - hello I'm calling to get " such and such" service scheduled. Thankfully I always asked them is this included in my prepaid service for the year. Their response would be - well no but I can take 20 off right now and the price will only be $189. I again would tell them we need help with the weeds which my hubby and I continued to try to tackle manually by pulling. The breaking point was my hubby buying our own chemicals to treat. Our lawn is frazzled and we still have a weed problem but at least we are not paying someone almost $1000 for nothing. This is our first time hiring a lawn/ weed company to help and may be our last. Unfortunately this experience was so bad that we cancelled. I'm on the no call list for additional services but was told that Unfortunately the calls come from a national network and I'm still getting them.

Sure, but mostly due to equipment issues & that has been with both companies. Both companies do keep in contact and follow up with me in a timely manner. They always give me a heads up when they are coming so I have my lawn cut and move stuff out of the way so they can do an effective job. Weedman is pretty pricey and typically uses a time released fertilizer while Naturescape is reasonable and uses liquid. I'm a big gardener and have a large property and hence I alternate to save money. I highly recommend both services. I do find that meeting up with them to discuss my concerns and my unusual boundaries is a win win. Property lines and areas of concern are addressed much better if you're there when they treat. This would be true with any company. You can't expect them to know your property like you would.
